I agree, family play has always been important to me along with exploration. I miss toddlers so much and teenagers in TS4 are just skinny adults with no other depth to them! Oh yes, don't get me wrong, I agree with you there. The worlds are absolutey beautiful in TS3 and I think that's what I'm missing, the open world and exploration aspect. I meant, TS4 can afford to be a bit more detailed and 'movie like' so to speak, as it doesn't have to render a huge neighbourhood.

Im afraid this doesn't work. I tried doing that with my chef and maxed out his cooking skill too only to re-load my restaurant to find he no longer works for me and isn't available to re hire! :( I was very disappointed to find we couldn't have active sims as employees.

I've just noticed I can't buy books from the computer or the bookshelves anymore. Is this a bug after the latest patch? I run my game with no mods and no CC.

Hey MsPhy! I have posted my dxdiag before in another thread and my computer is apparently fine. The only thing that is a bit dated is the graphics chipset, but it is more than capable of running the game on medium settings. As for processor speed, hard drive, drivers etc, all seems tickety boo. Hi there! There are two different types of cooking skill so you have to specify which style it is. I believe the cheat is: stats.set_skill_level HomestyleCooking 10 This is for standard Cooking skill. A full list of cheats etc can be found here. http://simsvip.com/sims-4-cheats-codes/

Thankyou guys this is super helpful! I did actually figure it out in the end and it appears my graphics settings were defaulting back to the Intel Chip but I've managed to switch it to automatically run the game using my Nvidia chip. Thankyou again! Sorry I am a total Noob with this stuff. I have been to the Intel website and did an auto detect for the driver but its saying I have a custom driver installed and need to search the Acer website, which I did and still cannot find driver! I'm rather confused!
