I removed all my saves a couple of days ago for Island Paradise, I never used them anyway. So I dont have a save of Lucky Palms. Its always when I load it up, the sky does eventually change in a couple of Sim days, Im just curious because its supposed to be Summer lol.

I done it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! Lol. It had something to do with Secure Boot and Legacy Boot in Windows 8 which was preventing me from booting with a different graphics card. I just wanna spread the word of this now because I know so many people facing this problem! Im so happy!!!

Ive done some research and found some interesting news. Firstly, some graphic cards require power from the actual psu, not the pci-e. Sorry I havent answered sooner, Ive had a kidney infection and im really ill. So basically, I copy my original .sgr files to my bin folder where my edited .sgr files are, then I copy and past the original ones, overwriting the edited ones, patch/install game, and then re-copy my edited .sgr files back?:)

It.....worked! Just loading a world right now. Before I leave it though, what are the cautions of having this edited file, do I need to do anything before I patch when an update comes out?? And also, what are the .orig files actually needed for?

I was going to, I was just re-assuring incase I screwed everything up. :) I have replaced my GraphicsCard.sgr file now. Where do I place the .ORIG files?

So alls I have to do is add the downloaded file to my bin folder? Do I still need to copy and past the normal versions of the sfg files and make them .orig?

Nope, the whole directory changed aswell as deleting the folder in my documents. But there was more in the Sims wiki than just adding the .sgr file in the bin folder?

Thanks! So just to let you know, my whole game is reset so I dont have any edited files in or anything, just like before I messed it up and changed it...So if I put this in it will work? What about the .orig files etc?

Right. So, if you don't mind, could you provide easy 1-5 Step on how to do it all. Because I don't understand a lot of things. Sorry if it is annoying, it is just I never had messed with my files before, that is why I messed it up, LOL. And the instructions on the Sims Wiki Site are too complex for me.

It was this: 0x124b "GT 640" I replaced the 640M which was on Graphics Cards. I just changed the four letters after the X at the start, and removed the M.

Nope, still hasnt. It crashed too, map view everything is blue, with hints of white for the grass. Its messed up, I dont know how though if everything is replaced normally?

I dont know now, the deviceconfig file just displays 'Options/default options' not any words, numbers. Im scared now because its still not recognized when I replaced my original files back in??:(
