imagine all the people that don't even know about this... i was one, i hardly ever come here. SIGNED i prefer to stick games in my entertainment center, plus i like to resell them (probably one reason they want to do this)
yes, yes. even if you reason the store prices are higher than stuff packs because you get to 'pick' what you want, there is no option for quantity discounts, even the sets are high. i'm downloading from free sites. but there are some great cc creators out there well worth paying for.
i don't think it matters either way. my problem was the store prices being too high. but that doesn't matter now, as awesome people are already making cc. see ya later store, i may spend my free points if something good is put in.
i've always played with cc. may have started sims1 without, but sims2 i thrived on cc, i'm in withdrawels for sims3 because it takes time for cc to come, but it's already trickeling in :)
VERY good point. the sexual component is there, that's why it's teen not everyone, maybe they're trying to stretch is as far as they can? my game label says sexual themes. sexual themes for teens, nothing new here. also there is no reason that height shouldn't be in there. of course it's more work, but isn't everything?…
signing in the forums doesn't do much and is disorganized, go here to sign, at least we have numbers that way http://www.petitiononline.com/mod_perl/signed.cgi?simstore&1
i agree a lot of people WON'T voice their opinion, if nothing else because they don't know how or think it wouldn't do any good. i would have been one, but when looking at the overpriced store i saw 'community' and a lightbulb went off  but i do question this? "petition wouldn't be as big as it is" what petition…
how intersting. i found memories to be almost pointless, i may have looked a time or two but that's it i lOVE moodlettes! especially since it takes away 2 sim needs, and is easier to keep them in a good mood one of my sims walked through the bathroom to get to another room while the other sim was using the toilet, the both…
am i the only one reading 1.4 million copies that means they sold 1 million 4 hundred thousand sims3 games, whether it be $50 or $70 at $50 per copy that's 70 million
i understand paying for extra content as work was put into it, but i will not pay $1 per virtual object so that EA employees can own their own islands  the stuff packs for sims2 came out to 0.25 or 0.33 depending on the pack, store prices are 3 to 4 times that... ummm, i think not!
no there's not, i see one or two hairstyles i like, but not for getting it 3 times for different age groups. but instead of cluttering the forums with what's been said a million times, post in one of the threads already here on the matter and here is the lowering store prices petition…
umm... i'm bringing into question the last statement. the only ability EA has given us to 'create stuff' ourselves is only patterns and color, that's not creation but customization. and while it's nice, in order to 'create' things, modders have to make an engine for it (which they have) but i hear it's very hard to use.…
i understand what you're saying, but all companies are all about money. but the SMART ones, know that in order to continue making money they must provide good products and service, and set a limit to the money grubbing. or else people get smart to it
make a note cricky: for every 3 'we need a patch' threads there is 1 'stop complaining, be patient' thread. :D they're frustrated about "insert problem here" and you're upset about them being upset. not flaming either side but it's still funny. most the people in here have been nice though, way more so then a lot of…
that's true, bigger companies can be more cocky because they are known and people buy their product sometimes no matter what (take the recent turn of star wars for exmaple :D ) anyway, while i feel they skimped on hairstyles, i'm against the prices. looking at the expansion packs the items were 0.33 or less the cheapest in…
i wikid it, most of the expansion packs for sims2 had around 60 items, some a few less, some more, they sold for $20 that makes each item $0.33 vs. the $1 of store items
found it, sims2 Kitchen & Bath Interior Design Stuff $20 at walmart includes 103 items. this is the high end of course, but lets look at others, taken from wiki IKEA Home Stuff-76 Mansion & Garden Stuff-60 Teen Style Stuff-67 H&M Fashion Stuff-61 Celebration! Stuff-54 Glamour Life Stuff-33 (this is currently $15 at walmart…
more hairstyles more clothing lower prices DIFFERENT CONTENT, looking at the objects most are just slightly different styles. don't forget about medieval or creative stuff... edit: they can't do 'brand name items' not without making a deal of some sort with each brand
i have no problem paying for extra content, the price they ask however is high. the stuff packs someone said came out to .25 per item, i never bought one because i didn't want half the stuff in them, so yes the store is a good idea. but charging 4x the price to sell individually is not the answer.
i forget about the rise in mircro transactions... great job getting on the bandwagon EA haven't seen enough games yet, but i do have burnout, and have never purchased anything, but there's tons of stuff you can do/unlock in the game so i don't need it as for the wii ???? what addons do they charge you for? free internet…
TRUE, people don't understand this, it's called marketing. You not only think 'hey, they're giving me free stuff, how cool is that!' it also brings you to the store to see items that you can't get because that 1000 points quickly dissapears. They're just giving you a choice of a few items that are included in the game,…
