Very true. Even Sims 1 had goals you had to achieve if you wanted a promotion. How is having to reach a certain level in a skill or having to befriend a certain number of friends any different to having to perform certain tasks? It is not different. The only difference is how it is displayed in the U.I..
Again. I couldn't agree with you more. Sims 4 sims are the best of the series. They could use a little more tweeking but still better than the past 3 versions.
Sure. Everyone's judgement is different though. I feel that the humor was the best in Sims 1. It's over the top campiness was hilarious to me. The simlish was always funny and I never got tired of listening to it. For me Sims 2 lacked that. But Sims 2 was a great game in other ways. I loved Sims 3 for the open world and…
But we all must realize that our memories most often are not entirely accurate. Nostalgia has a way of deceiving us into thinking that "the good old days" were better than they actually were. I remember how I was disappointed with Sims 2 because it did not give me the same enjoyment as Sims 1. It felt like something was…
I had a similar situation happen in my game. My neat sim would get an uncomfortable moodlet when ever she entered the living room that had a lit fireplace. Do you have a fireplace in the room where your sim gets an uncomfortable moodlet?
Where in Asia are you jarinlin? I am in Taiwan and it is not available here yet. I was told it would not be available on CD, but I was told that about many of the Sims 3 expansion packs as well. From my past experience expansion packs usually are available for sale between 3 to 7 days after they are available in the U.S..
17mars, do you know if all of the lots in this new version have the +100 beautiful vista buff? That was one of the things that I didn't like about the first version. All of the Sims that lived there were always elated. Seemed a little too easy to me. :)
@Ralf453. Yes. I can place a fireplace on the first floor with no problem. But when I try to place a fireplace directly above the first floor fireplace on the second floor the game will crash. Do you know a fix for this?
The last time I built a basement under an existing foundation I used this tutorial. Not sure if it still works but you can try. http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/462025.page
I have a problem with fireplaces on one of my lots. I used the MOO cheat to change the chimneys. Never will I do that again. It seems to have corrupted the lot. Have you tried buying a fireplace on a different lot?
Mr. Hawk has all the terrain paints for the store worlds except for Midnight Hollow. Not sure if he will extract the terrain paints for the new world or not. Here is the link. http://www.thesimalogue.com/the-simalogue-3.html
Have you tried editing the lot in "Edit Town" mode? That should work if you just want a shop and not own it. But like AznSensei said, if you want to run the shop you need to purchase the lot.
It really isn't all that difficult to make your own collection folder. Take some screen shots of the items in the store if you can't remember them all and use that as a reference.
I would rather they work on improving the Sims themselves rather than working on a CAS. Isn't this game supposed to be about the Sims? If I had to choose between CAS and Sims that are better animated and more fun to watch I would choose the latter. Sims 3 has CAS, but the Sims themselves are dull and boring. They are…
