Chazzy - you can use the build tools and build a wall - place the extra diplomas on the wall and then use the hammer to destroy the wall with the extra diplomas - this deleted the extra diplomas from the 2 sims I had with the same issue - at least until they fix it.

What works for me is to set my in game resolution to 1024 x 768 (in the options menu) before attempting to start a new game or load a town/area for the first time. It happens in my game too. I even tried making the Simbot a friend, thinking that would stop the A Simbot! rection. No luck. If you have World Adventures you could try and send them on vacation. That should cause the Sim to "redraw" without the paint brush/plate stuck to their hand. I know that simply giving them a shower or changing their outfit didn't work for me. Good luck!

Try moving the Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3 folder to another location and then restart the game. The game will create a new one including building new cache files etc.

Option #3 appears to have fixed my Launcher problem. I've not installed any mods but I have installed a fair amount of items from the Exchange and Store. Maybe my attempts at the Legacy Challenge will forever be cursed :wink: Thanks for the quick response/resolution! :D

Installed 1.4, relaunched the launcher and I still get the spinning wheel of death and have to force quit. No change after the patch :( I even tried rebooting just for grins.

I get the endlessly spinning beach ball as soon as the item finishes downloading. Then I have to force quit. I've tried both the Add to Game and Save File and both result in a hang. This is very frustrating. I haven't tried to upload anything so not sure if uploading is also borked.

Ooh, I love starter homes and I really like the greens and browns used throughout. My biggest problem with building a starter is I run out of money to do much with the curb appeal and yours has very nice curb appeal. Downloaded and rec'd.

Any 40x40 (or smaller) residential lot will do either from Sunset Valley or Riverview. Some builders make a note of which lot they used in their description if it has special views that their design takes advantage of, but it is not necessary. Hope that helps!

I honestly would not recommend upgrading a 6 year old machine. You can easily run into compatibility problems with the components.
