  • I would suggest not asking this here. You can install the game files on the D Drive but your downloads and saves and all that will stay in your Documents folder which is always on the C drive. Moving the game files to D will free up space though. You need to direct origin on what drive to put the game files.
  • I actually just want this iteration over with and them to sell the franchise to someone who wants to be innovative and provide deep immersive gameplay. I have lost all faith that any pack is going to rescue this extraordinarily boring game. But, if I had to pick, I would pick something that is more than just 'oh pretty'…
  • I bought it at this price. I could do without it though. I ended up being much more interested in playing with the MCCC mod that I downloaded. So far, I have only played one premade family. Sims 4 continues to lack all the little details and nuance that made Sims 2 my favorite game and this doesn't change with this…
  • Eh, we got bowling, dating/outings, turn offs/ons, attraction, night clubs, cars, karaoke, Vampires etc with Nightlife in one expansion for $35-$40 in Sims 2. Perhaps I am spoiled but I feel more like I'm being ripped off.
  • I like that I can more clearly see what I have already been nickel and dimed on so I can remind myself not to buy anymore overpriced packs!
  • I have been having this problem too. It is so irritating and the patch did nothing to fix it. Last night I directed my cute little alien toddler to watch tv and the toddler got on the couch to sit watch and her father who was standing in front of the wall mounted tv eating, sat down to chat with her and watch tv at the…
  • Well, I must have been an oddball then..nothing new there :p I remember my dad being slightly embarrassed when he caught me playing his Leisure Suit Larry game. I played mostly adventure games and remember playing the original Doom and Duke Nukem..what horrid graphics those had. Oh my. I got my dad hooked on Sim City 2000…
  • EA became the developer of the game and not just the publisher was my point; when the The Sims Studio took over toward the end of Sims2. Sims had always been published by EA. Maxis went off to a separate studio that was shut down last year. It's just a name they have the right to. Lucy Bradshaw is indeed one of the ones…
  • If I remember correctly, Maxis broke off from the Sims toward the end of Sims 2 to focus on Spore with original Sims creator Will Wright. This became Maxis Emeryville. The Sims Studio took over making The Sims and was born from EA. Nobody that worked on the first two Sims games worked on Sims 3 then before Sims 4 came out…
  • Maybe that is what it wrong with the game, there is no heart and soul put into it anymore, it is all about the money. Just a business. The people who play it don't matter as long as they can get as much money out of it as possible. I don't know if many of you are familiar with the game The Witcher but I remember when the…
  • Pretty sure this is exactly what they are doing and with that I am beyond C also.
  • I was looking forward to what they could do with toddlers with this game, so yes I miss them and wanted them. I don't expect them to make a comeback to 4 so I'm over it. I'm over the game, actually. And I am over anything EA because I am tired of being disrespected by these clowns. Sims 2 and it's toddlers are where it's…
  • I am absolutely done with this game after them 'sneaking' in relationship decay with the July patch. I know I could use a mod to keep playing but my disgust with the way we have been treated is too much at this point. NO MORE. I really wish we could get a team of developers that actually cared about this game AND it's fans.
  • It isn't culling that is gamebreaking to me, it is the relationship decay. I play rotationally. I use a mod to prevent culling and do not want to have to use one to play rotationally as well. The relationship decay seems to have been added to speed up this culling since there have been reports on it culling babies out of…
  • I was basing my opinion on exactly what @MikeAM91 explained combined with the recently underhanded adding of relationship decay to the June 2nd patch for 'performance issues', none of which I seemed to be having. It is a game breaker for me and many others. A big part of the gameplay of this game focuses on relationships…
  • I don't think the game engine can take the complexity of adding much more to the core, honestly. That and they like milking the stuff packs.
  • Looks like I will have to get this mod. I really miss my space cowboy and want to play. I suppose I'd have to get it anyway to fix all the broken relationships. Does anyone know if the mod works to prevent the decay?
  • Yup! Love the attraction system in Sims 2 and the fact that they can have an actual orientation unlike in 3 where it's all random (and all the random strait lovebirds in 4..so annoying because not all my sims are straight). I wish they would bring something similar back. I used to sometimes edit their gender bias with Sim…
  • I was wondering if I was the only one. I play on rotation and the last couple houses I loaded have all had their relationships at zero. I even had to reintroduce a married couple who had completely fallen out of love and had no friendship either. This is game-breaking. This did not occur before the June 2nd patch.
  • I always made him gay.
  • Does it still make you mentor your child after having a teenager with an 'A' grade? I never use it because that is backwards imo and it doesn't register. Also, it does not register my child completing her childhood aspiration nor her adult one. It is totally borked and needs to be fixed.
  • Yes, I could do that. I'll be back... Edit: I made two new saves got a female with the snooty walk, a male with the swagger and both had gender appropriate clothes. Not sure what i'll get if I go back. I guess the different walks are being assigned to townies now. I don't know if they put gender tags on them or not. Didn't…
  • They are probably busy trying to figure out if they should include it or put it in the next stuff pack.
  • Just felt like people shouldn't constantly be misguidingly told that their warranties will be voided by making simple ugrades, so I made a reply and about 5 people jumped on me with personal stories about why I was wrong. People come here looking for advice. I think it was sufficiently proven that most warranties aren't…
  • LOL. This is exactly what they want! More money for them.
  • Yeah, so if you change the ram or hard drive, the motherboard is still covered. It's the same concept. It isn't likely you will fry the motherboard by opening the ram slot a laptop or pulling out an easily replaceable hard drive. I dont know why I keep arguing about this. You all are not even listening or doing any…
  • Just sounds like they are trying to scare you. Altered in what way exactly? They don't want you doing anything major. Upgrade on a laptop vid card would prob be considered major and was not something I would do with my own notebook. Ram is considered user upgradable. My laptop was a Dell and they even sent and had me…
  • No, it will not void the warranty. I replied because this is false information I repeatedly see being passed on and it is a common question. Just do a little research. It may depend on the laws in your country but in the US and many other, it is just a common misconception. I did not disagree with you about the 4gb being…
