  • The mod replaces TS2 water shader with modified Castaway shader (I had to modify it a bit so it actually works in TS2). However, considering the differences between those two games I sadly had to slave pond reflections and reflections on the sea water on non-beach lots to pool reflections. Ocean water on non-beach lots and…
  • Remove cache files from Documents\EA Games\The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection.
  • Not much so far as I never really used that file before, but I’m going to add more to it :) Now I just have a shortcut for moveobjects, the angle and testing cheats set to on, and in my testing save I also have the part that belongs to the post processing mod there. And it seems like there indeed are cheats I didn’t know…
  • Yeah MTS and MATY have great mods, just take a look at the Game Mods section at MTS and you’ll surely find something interesting :) (and maybe you’ll like my water mod ;)). Also this thread is worth browsing. If you are interested in graphically improving the game, the custom post processing mod might be useful for you,…
  • I think that TS2 Repository Project is great :) I also recommend other blogs made by that simmer, and MTS creators, for example migamoo or Cocomama.
  • I use these. I’m so obsessed with defaults that I made two myself, for the neighbourhood grass and cheeks overlay ;) I also plan to make an eyeliner replacement at some point using my sets, I already have one with Anva’s set, and while those eyelashes are nice I’d like something more subtle.
  • For skins I use these (an example sim of mine), for eyes I use Anva’s Anette eyes (with colours slightly edited by me), I also use default brows, makeup, a few clothing pieces, clean social bunny, no skin change for witches, plates, and in general plenty of various default replacements, I can’t imagine my game without them…
  • I just want to mention, you don’t need an account on MTS to download :) An account was required years ago, but that changed at some point, no idea when.
  • I’ve never tried to make uni in my home neighbourhood, so I’m not sure how it’d work, but well, why not try, you can always remove the mod temporarily when you plan to play at such university if it causes problems there :)
  • I use it and it seems fine :) It doesn’t work on uni lots though, because then the semester time would pass twice, and for all I remember when I read the post, the modder couldn’t do anything with it.
  • Not all Pescado’s mods conflict with InTeen for all I know, and they’re definitely worth getting, for example nocorruptdeath can increase the longevity of your neighbourhood. I’d also recommend MTS in general (not only Numenor), and Cyjon’s site.
  • Well, for all I remember I used SimBlender just to change sims’ surnames, but it was annoying to do (you had to change the name, copy first name to surname, and then change the first name again) and it’s more convenient in SimPe, and for the rest I use Insimenator. It isn’t supported any more, but it works fine for me, and…
  • @SataiDelennn Then it wouldn’t work for you, I used all the EP content and some of SP content. Isn’t getting the Ultimate Collection still possible? TS2 EPs are great and provide interesting gameplay :)
  • I might add, the F3, F5, F6 and F9 keys are useful in BodyShop. F3 makes the camera free, which lets you look at the mannequin/created sim at any angle you want with any zoom you want – use the left and right mouse buttons to control it (both pressed at the same time too). F5 removes the background, F6 changes the sim…
  • Thank you all :) @slynnski I use it very often too, especially in builds like those I shared, it’s one of the best decorations :) @nanashi-sims Like I wrote in my policy on MTS, you can do whatever you want as long as it’s not plagiarism and you give credit, so yes, I wouldn’t mind that :) By the way, what’s going on with…
  • @emilymsims What do you do to put those things in the game?
  • Broken face templates are a bit scary...
  • @SPARKY1922 That beach area reminds me of Sunset Valley for some reason, probably because of those umbrellas ;) I’ve never played much withe Broke family during TS2 years, however I did in my recent save and decided that Brandi and Mortimer Goth would be a nice couple ;) Sorry for a tiny picture, but the one taken with…
  • Yes, that’s exactly what happened :) Incidentally, they had to attempt to abduct that sim 3 times (by the way it’s Lilith Pleasant) – for the first time she was in the bathroom and there was no space there to use handcuffs and the sim just left, and despite the second abduction being successful, the game crashed on the…
  • The only effect of physiology I’ve noticed is sims’ fitness – if a sim learns physiology, their fitness increases instead of decreasing if they eat when they’re not hungry (hunger bar full). The easiest way is to make a pond in your sims’ house garden, catch some fish and use them to prepare a meal (use serve so you have…
  • You can use a dressing/vanity table to change his look, or if you don’t mind cheats – input boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, click on the mascot while holding the shift key, select *MAKE SELECTABLE, change his appearance using the mirror (you don’t need to commit it, you’ll see his face while selecting a hairstyle), and…
  • @SPARKY1922 Have you tried renovating instead of building from scratch? I’ve renovated some Maxis lots and I enjoy doing that, it’s easier than starting with an empty lot and you can end up with nice results :) For each lot decide about your renovating restrictions, for example you don’t touch outside wall construction,…
  • @SPARKY1922 That mod needs a little trick to work properly, it’s explained in the 18th comment – you just need to place four 1x1 pools in the corners of the lot (or just in a place good enough so the pond is inside the rectangle they create), and then the pond gets reflections and generally looks nicer. Credits for the…
  • @SPARKY1922 and @SataiDelennn Thank you :) For the pond water I use this mod, the neighbourhood grass is my default replacement, I’ll probably share it at MTS at some point. Tree climbing is not possible in the vanilla game, that tree is a conversion from Castaway Stories with interactions included. And yes, if lots in the…
  • I’ve recently made some Maxis match things myself, they can be found here if someone is interested :) Also, I have a great find – here is a quite large amount of Maxis match clothes, they use texture references so the files are smaller than normal.
  • I don’t have a favourite picture, I just have a lot of screenshots, old and new, and I like all of them ;) Here are some, I put them into a spoiler as it’s a really huge amount.
  • When I need to have a ‘clean’ The Sims 2 folder in documents for whatever reason, I just change the name (I do that on the EA Games folder directly in documents, as I don’t have anything useful in there except TS2), for example to EA Games1, run the game, do whatever I wanted to do in a ‘clean’ game, then I rename the…
  • Most of faux-meats are great, soya for the win ;) But well if what you describe is the case in the game, they should do something about it, as it seems to me that they kind of imply that being a vegetarian is not good because you’re stuck with poor food.
