  • Is that the script mod by twistedmexi? I recently tried to use it but kept getting empty lastexception.txt files in my docs folder. Two of the other mods I use (MCCC & WW) both catch last exceptions and I wondered if that was perhaps preventing twistedmexi's script from working. I removed it and was still getting a LE in…
  • I definitely think it's one of the best packs. I get to cheat since my fiancee has all the packs and I can play with them before deciding which ones I want to buy on my account (at least until I get a new computer, then I may have to play the begging game >3>). I don't get much out of Get Famous, but Get To Work was one of…
  • Did you make sure to delete localcache after updating the mod?
  • I'm not familiar with the Get Famous live career since I don't have that pack on my account and rarely use it on my fiancee's, but I'm pretty sure that they use a different system than the one in Get To Work. Since Zerbu's mod was designed using the system in Get To Work, I would assume it references scripts that located…
  • If I'm not mistaken, it should be an option to add to the cleaner, which would effectively automatically remove vampire status from any randomly generated sims. In my personal experience, the game itself doesn't really generate vampire sims automatically (or if it does, it's so infrequent that it's unnoticable), so even if…
  • I know there's another mod that works a little more realistically on this end but we can't discuss it on this forum. There's a version of it for just alcohol, but some of it's other features may technically break the rule, so I don't know.
  • I take that back. I was mistaken, it was a Sims 3 video. (we watch way too much vinesauce over here, it's all becoming a blur) I don't do pose stuff really, but I tried once and I definitely feel your frustration with the Teleport Any Sim mod. I'll be honest, 90% of the reason I don't do pose packs is because it's too much…
  • Definitely would like to try out that HQ GraphicsRule if you can send me a link. Out of curiosity, why won't the game function with a high end HQ mod, is it just a matter of too much data? Like I said, I'm more familiar with Sims 4 and since the aesthetic in Sims 4 doesn't bother me, I don't really bother with HQ or…
  • For me, it's more of an overall aesthetic. When I'm playing Sims 3, the way sims and the environment are animated, I definitely prefer to have a more realistic look. Whereas when I'm playing Sims 4, the animations and environment complement the slightly cartoonish (I'd actually describe it as more anime/comic book-esque…
  • I've used sliders. Unfortunately with the way the sliders in Sims 3 work, adding sliders ends up being a bit of a gamble. You'll get a sim looking great in CAS with custom sliders but then as soon as they're performing an in-game task, the animation is memeworthy (i.e. the human body does not work like…
  • @83bienchen God bless highchairtweak, w/ my 25 sim household I had to delete highchairs entirely before I found that mod.
  • Some small mods that I like for realism sake are Go Home You're Hangry (changes low hunger moodlet from uncomfortable to angry), Dazed Low Energy (changes tired moodlet from uncomfortable to dazed), and Low Fun Is Boring (changes low fun moodlet from tense to bored). Just, little things that make much more sense.
  • LittleMissSam has a mod in her pack of really small mods for a Get Famous reactions overhaul, might that be the kind of mod you're looking for? I know she has another one to make "fans" only homeless sims, unfortunately it's not quite what it was meant to be due to the way the game designed the "fan" system, but that plus…
  • I swear there's something like this out there. I've seen it done in one of Vinesauce Joel's youtube videos with a sim in a bathtub.
  • I've heard good things about the constructor and it's definitely something I'm going to play with, but I'm wanting to get some advice on learning from the ground up as well. A lot of what I really want to do are things like glitch fixing and I'm wanting to learn python so I can explore some possibilities for adding…
  • I feel you there, especially when the updates are titled differently for each one so your extractor doesn't catch the duplicate (looking at MCCC and WW on this one).
  • So far I've not had any major script issues. I'm patient enough to be able to figure out most LEs, and while I've had to sack a couple dead script mods, tbh, I never really have any major issues with them other than occasionally forgetting the game just did a updoot (easy fix right there ya?)
  • I just want to say, that was magic.
  • I love that I'm not the only one who is just now figuring out what autonomy scan is and how it actually works. To be fair, a lot of the tuner features didn't make much sense to me to begin with. I need to mess with it now (and clean my mods folder up a bit now that I have this information)
  • @EmmaTennant Looks like MC Command Center can't find the scripts it needs to run. Either you need make sure you've got the latest version of MC Command Center in your mods folder or (most likely) you need to make sure you've placed all of the .ts4script files in your mods folder as well as the .package folders. Also, make…
  • Is there a fix mod for the bug in the Vampires pack where power/weakness buffs won't disappear after taking the reconfiguration potion or removing the power/weakness? I've found fixes for other vampire bugs but surprisingly, this one is still an issue despite being a HUGE game-wrecker for a lot of players.
  • Also, if you're just using CC (i.e. not script mods) you can always use Raxdiam's Mod Manager. It automatically extracts .package files from compressed folders directly into the program and you just check which ones you want active in your game and it'll put them in your Mods folder for you.
  • Can you? Yes. Should you? Definitely not... Can cause major save file and gameplay issues, potentially irreparable depending on the mod.
  • I might could kiss you if this happens. Though with the way I use it to manage my package conflicts, I may well have to work harder at learning Python. >_> To be fair, I'd also like to see the Mod Manager updated to manage .ts4script files, I know it used to manage .py files so maybe, hopefully it'll get an update.
  • If you plan on getting a lot of cc or using a lot of mods, I highly recommend Raxdiam's Mod Manager for package files. While I second the recommendation to use 7-zip (frankly a lot of modders use 7-zip to compress, extract, and manage files they're working with in the first place), if you're only using cc and .package…
  • I'll second 7zip. I know some modders say it doesn't always work for .rar files, but I've personally had 0 issues, 7zip works like a breeze for both .zip and .rar files and the occasional odd modder that actually uses .7zip.
  • Tbh, I honestly prefer either maxis match or something in between maxis and alpha. I honestly just tend to use slightly higher graphic settings, additional skin tones, and some default replacements that smooth out the maxis style features a bit without completely changing it (luumia, betterbody, etc.). I fooled around with…
  • *stares at TS4MM reading '423 mods active out of 584 total, in 45 categories.'* Uhhh.......... Okay, technically, most of my 'mods' are mods we don't discuss here (i.e. a significant # of packages are just animations, skins, meshes, etc.). Other than that, MCCC is a must have. I also use a lot of mods by LittleMissSam…
  • Yea, it'd be cool if there was a feature like, say, ponchos or just a general looking raincoat in varied color options similar to how you select an umbrella and could be applied automatically for outdoor activities, could layer over or replace the current outfit visuals and sims could just automatically switch back once…
  • I'm torn, because while part of me thinks "maybe if we had a funeral event random grieving sims my sims have never met huddling up in one spot and overcrowding an area won't be a thing anymore", but then one of the most hilarious moments I've ever had in a playthrough ever wouldn't have happened. (long story short: married…
