Last time I had that problem, it was due to a piece of CC. Once I found the offending piece and took it out, the game loaded with no problem. Are you currently using any CC or mods that could be causing the problem?

Only grilled cheese and eggs and toast. I've been hoping more recipes would become available as my Sim levels up cooking skill, but so far nothing. Also, did I mention this Sim is a vegetarian? :D So even when I use the grill, her options are still quite limited! Aargh! Learn from my mistakes, guys!

I've been able to store food in the fridge while off grid without a problem. I just wish there were more than a couple of recipes available for cooking, between the fridge and the "cook with gas" option on the stove. Honestly, I think the lack of significant interactions between packs is holding the Sims 4 back to a large degree. Letting the packs interact makes the game richer and gives the player more to do. Hmm... can you register the breed at all? I think in Sims 2 you could register breeds as a way to save coat markings and genetics. That's a real shame if there's not a way to do that in Sims 4. I don't have the game yet, so this is about all the insight I can offer.

Yeah, as much as I like Tumblr for other things, downloads is not one of them. Besides Mod the Sims, which is my go-to for downloads, lately I've been enjoying Liana Sims for clothing, and Parsimonious (which has several download categories).
