Hey all! I've been in awe with Island Living over the last few days. I mean.., it even has Mount Vuneca the vulcano! Sims-Studio one-for-one gave me 'The Islands'!! How awesome is that? Welcome to the new faces!! It's great to see new people coming to the challenge.
@Piazzagirl1015 Pi! Great to see ya! Yeah it's nice to dive back into my Vuneca-verse creatively instead of merely deepening the lore and consolidating what there is. Recently I lost the speech Ebenezer Alto made that started the 300yr war and was devastated, but it turned out that speech is also in this thread, along with…
@Jazen Looks like I'll have to order three books then! Gives me a chance to say , "I'm (forum) friends with this author!" all puffy-chested. Early grats on the release of 'The Lists'!
@jazen Wow, you really did it, you became a published author! Grats!! I could never do that, I have a huge problem with being creative on demand. Seriously, I'm jealous of people that can do that. With scientific write-ups I'm used to doing, you have everything in front of you and the scientific lingo is well defined.…
@Vuneca I'm rooting for you! Don't fret and don't be nervous, a person is capable of achieving things they themselves believe to be outside of their reach! You can do it, easy! GFI!
Because you can do a lot within TS4 to have Sims behave a certain way around specific Sims they might love or hate, they sometimes have facial expressions out of their character. It's a very human thing to do, that one little moment where someone drops their guard and you, for the most fleeting of moments, 'see' the…
Hey girls! The first Chandell Chibi is here! When Isla Paradiso won independence, all Colonials and Mainlanders had to leave the islands in a chaotic chain of events that became known as the 'Black Exodus'. Mistakes were made in all that upheaval and so Chandell, orphaned and alone, finds herself swept up in the Black…
Hey girls! Thanks for all the nice comments on my med-face, lol. That was heartening! <3 I did the get the med-int position at the military contractor (I had to sign a non-disclosure so I can't tell you the brand-name of the contractor.) and now I'm 'working' for four hours at wednesdays there. I'm kinda amazed that the…
@Vuneca I know how it is. It's fantastic to read that both you and Pi are working hard for the future. Most of what I hear around me is complaining, so it's very heartening to know two women who take their future in their own hands. Yay for silent feminism! <3 It may sound weird, but I do take some strength from reading…
Hey girls! Great stuff on the Goin Solo Holiday! Bookmarked this page for reference because I don't have seasons yet. Due to medical bills and a mandatory contribution to my mobility scooter I'll have to make choices. (And yes, my illness decided to kick remission to the curb.) I'm working on a Chandell solo-story where…
Nessy: 'Look at the bright side, Norton. Because you forgot to wear clothes when you answered the door, the landlord waved this month's rent!' I'm building Norton's background right now, because all I have on file about her is that she's a transsexual who had a troubled childhood because of it and that she's a goof. I…
@Piazzagirl1015 An ingame Going Solo bank-holiday when Season drops is a great idea. I don't fully grasp how the system works, but I guess we can set weekday+season? In that case I propose a wednesday in midsummer. And on that day, all Sims only do things for themselves and can't for instance cook family-meals and so on.…
@Piazzagirl1015 Thanks Pi! I'm looking forward to Seasons. The screenshots I've seen sofar are adorable and just having changing weather alone brings in so much change in how you play. Remember Seasons in Sims2 and how that totally made it a new game? Together with the options added over time to have Sims4 be a gameplay…
Hey girls! I'm so happy that Seasons is a thing for Sims4 now. I'm stoked again to get back into playing and writing. My plan is to pick up at a point in my 'Vuneca-verse', were Nessy tricked Norton into fathering a child when they were teenagers. You gals might remember Peregrina. She appeared a few times in my earlier…
@Piazzagirl1015 @MischiefTheKitten Thanks for the kind words, girls! <3 Chapter2 of Malala's Orphanage for Girls is out and it features the return of two characters I haven't used in a very long time. A small hint: one of them brought about quite a creative way of swearing! I hope that you guys will enjoy the return of…
Hey guys! I'm happy with the new family-pack for TS4, as I can continue work on my TS4-story 'Malala's Orphanage for young girls', which I started with this pack in mind. It's really good and I think that it will help make Malala's challenge a fun time and a good read. The first chapter has been out for a while and can be…
@Piazzagirl1015 Adventureland was part of a scrapped expansion, where your Sim could be a mystery-solver in an alternate Sunset Valley. However, the mechanics were better suited to the vacation expansion and that was also seen as more fun than the first idea that Maxis had. So, instead of the alternate world adventure…
@Nancy01905 Kewl! Another story to read! Will be hopping over shortly. @carlimact w00t! More Quentalin! Getting some use out of my tablet and my blankie this evening! @jazen is writing again! Go Mica! Go Mica! Everybody, I'm half way through the fifth chapter of Jungledrums and then I'm laying down some dough for the…
Have you read the first chapters to my new Going Solo attempt, Vanessa? I also started a TS4 Orphanage challenge. The links can be find higher up on this page. =) @Piazzagirl1015 I have the Vampires. It's not bad. The neighborhood for them is low-budget though, which I found a bit disappointing. The vampires are shaking…
Open careers got their start with Isla Paradiso. TS2 had a rudimentary club-system AND fraternities/sororities that had comparable functionality. Spa stuff for the home has been in TS2 and TS3, just not in their own packs.
Hey girls! I got a great idea for a challenge of my own and decided to do it in TS4. I have that game up to date but I hardly play it. (Main reason being that all the Sims constantly have a sickening smile on their faces, which makes storytelling a bit complicated.) *Smile*Oh no, granny Smith died horribly in an oil-fire…
The one thing that I like in TS4 is indeed the genetics-engine. I think that it is pretty good. Parent 1; Chandell Scott: Parent 2; Topanga Masters: Their daughter, Sunnidai Scott: I don't think there's any doubt as to who her parents are! =)
The fact that this exists, without wishing to knock the effort, shows that the teenage-stage in TS4 is a total fail. Maxis really needs to revisit the teens and make them relatable. I do commend you for making the video, Triplis. Thanks!
How about Simselves? Here's something else, who plays as themselves with their heart's friend, fiancé, spouse or life-partner and is inter-racial/LGBTQXYZ? Here's my wife and I: I'm on the left, my name's Hakima and I was born in Bogor, the isle of Java, Indonesia. I came to the Netherlands on a student-program and stayed…
