  • @lanlyn I didn't realise independent horses were so challenging. Sounds like an interesting story. My sim just completed the last master competition even if he didn't quite meet the requirements. Now he is waiting for the ultimate competition. Appearantly the ultimate competition is only available on saturdays... and my…
  • I think this sums it up pretty well. The game will never be bug free anymore. The huge amount of DLC has created a very wobbly tower that can tip over if pushed to hard. At this moment it seems to be in a decent state, better than it was with the crystal creation bug. (I don't own for rent, so I have less risk of the lot…
  • That garden with it's crystal tree looks really nice. It feels so magical, especially next to a small stone cottage (I hope it's OK if I describe it as a cottage, apologies if it's supposed to be something different) The crystal tree takes very long to be fully grown but it is definitely worth the wait. The result looks…
  • I started up my game and the patch started downloading immediately. I have automatic game updates disabled! I know the settings and have a habit of postponing updates for a few dates to get mods sorted. But this update seems to be more aggressive than usually and install anyway. I am very disappointed about the fact that…
  • I own 14 but one is won in a giveaway and one was free for everyone, so I actually bought 12. Several build kits and 1 CAS kit. I always like new build stuff and every kit had a one or a few items I like. But for the CAS, I have a feeling of overload. So many clothes already in the game and I don't use a lot of them…
  • Thank you for the summary. It helps to understand the issue. I don't have the pack yet but if it ever gets to a 50% sale I might consider it. It is scary to read it's not exclusive to for rent. I think I will go and delete a bunch of townies and lots I never play anyway.
  • This definitely feels as if EA is ready to move on and pretend no one ever complained about the shopping cart. I don't think there is much point left in complaining. At least I have decided to no longer waste energy on it. I will focus on playing and enjoying the game as it is now with the DLC I already own. Does this mean…
  • @simgirl1010 I am still working very hard on getting all the medals for the championship. If I remember correctly you had a mod that shortened the cool down between compititions. Would you be willing to tell me where to find it?
  • I really like nifty knitting because it is a fun hobby for my Sims. I use it in a lot of my sims families. Kids can also knit so it is something sims can do together. This pack also has a few nice side features like selling things plopsy, being able to knit onesies for infants, and integration with cottage living (use wool…
  • I have 3 favourites but in general I like the combination of all the holidays. I really like winterfest and flowerbunny day, or Christmas and Easter if you will. Winterfest is nice and cozy family time and an opportunity to invite the relatives. Flowerbunny day is just a cute activity for my Sims. They (and I) like to go…
  • Could someone who already updated please check if werewolves can still wear the scarfs from horse ranch and the necklace with the lock from high school years? Those looked good on werewolves and I'd like to know if they will still be there after I update. The long horse ranch earrings obviously were never meant for…
  • Oh no. I knew some accessories were showing that weren't meant for werewolves but I didn't mind. So many serious bugs and this is the fix we got, even more limitations for werewolf fashion :(. Some looked a bit weird but I was happy to see more choices. Which ones were removed?
  • Thank you for another giveaway. I'd like to enter for party essentials
  • I am so happy to see the blank CAS on the list. Finally sims with custom pronouns in English won't be bugged in games that don't have custom pronouns.
  • The items look cute but neither kit looks essential to my style of gameplay
  • Callisto just finished the crystal creations aspiration. Creating the cut gem for 2500 was the trickiest bit of the aspiration but talking to grim was fun too.
  • I just opened the game to check and I got the button as well. :( This makes me very sad. I feel used and disrespected. I feel as if the enjoyment of the game has become less important than the profit this game can make. I had the version with the yellow dot. This is very distracting and breaks the immersion of the game. I…
  • I was contemplating on getting this kit a few days ago (before the cart appeared in my game) not the top of my list but looks cute.
  • That's probably what happened. Some kind of timer or on/off switch. I think this was EA's plan from the beginning. They just wanted to have some data to show the effect. Even if it just adds 1% of sales for those with the cart, that would be enough for them to implement the cart in the game for everyone. Insulting long…
  • To be honest I just learned EA added the shopping cart to more (I suppose all) players. And they managed to do so without updating our game! I have no interest in spending more money in a store because then I would be proving EA right when they treat me like an idiot who buys anything if they just push hard enough. I liked…
  • That's scary. I read somewhere that there has been an EA app update. But EA being able to mess with our game without an update is very bad. I haven't opened the game since this news about the shopping cart for all appeared. But somehow I am not surprised. I guess this means EA is now officially downgrading sims to the…
  • Could you please elaborate on what you mean by marketplace? Is it some like curse forge but with paid content? Would a marketplace be organised by players or maxis? Is the store something like the sims 3 store? Are we taking individual items on sale or set like kits?
  • My trick for ordering groceries : The phone works normal as soon as you are in the world, even if that's just a few steps away from your home lot. have your sim walk a few meters/yards into the world, off the physical lot, make the call and wait for the delivery.
  • This combination did the trick for me as well, 2531 simoleons to be exact. My sim has gemology skill level 10 and was very focused and it still took 3 attempts with a rare crystal. An amber gnome (amber shows as the most expensive crystal in the list) and a Jet skull just weren't good enough. At least I now already have…
  • Congratulations @simgirl1010 for winning the ultimate horse championship. My sim is also working hard on achieving this aspirations but it seems to take forever. Callisto's first gold medal in a master competition Her boyfriend isn't doing too bad either but still has a bit more work to do.
  • After making the overview above I hade to test how many jewels a sim can wear at once. I managed to make my sim wear - 1 necklace - 1 pair of earrings - 2 bracelets (botanical and edwardian bracelets) - 5 rings (eye ring , starry, plumbob, mystical and edwardian ring) Alle at the same time. These jewels were not charged at…
  • That sounds like a plausible scenario. I expect stuff packs cost less to make and generally have less chance of breaking the game (I know the crystal creations patch was devastating but I think, I hope that's the exception) , in general stuff packs are less likely to implement big changes that cause major issues. I don't…
