I'm getting the base game is incompatible error as well. I have updated all the games manually. I went back and updated using the cumulative base game update trying to get the base game to update after the 1.18 to 1.19 didn't work.
I'm getting an error of "invalid file" when I try to patch thru the launcher 1.18.009 to 1.19.44 for the base game. I also get the error when using the link to the direct patch.
I am new to Sims and would love some help on how to fix this issue.

I'm having Sim lag/freeze every couple minutes, which is really annoying me. I'm not sure if it's the patch or Outdoor Living. I might uninstall Outdoor Living for now to see if that helps, or if it's the patch.
I just recently uninstalled all my Sims and reinstalled and everything was fine until I tried to install Late Night and it told me "Base Game Incompatible" I tried updating the base game and it updates then a message pops up saying something like "This update is already installed, do you want to keep installing it anyways?" So I did and it did nothing! This is what happens
I check the box and go about updating it and it say it already updated but my launcher still says 1.5.82.002001 and I still can't install LN.
I tried installing with the actually base game in the computer
I tried manually downloading it and nothing is working :evil:

I did all of em in order of what my skuversion was. Do yourself a favor and save these patches in a folder so the next time you reinstall any of your games you will have these patches saved to be used again. I know it sucks but I had to do it.

I did this 3 times. The first time it said there was an error. The second it said something else. The last time it said downloaded. Guess what... It still isn't working!!! I just do not know what to do!!!!!!!!!! It is so frustating. Please help!
Ok, this seems a minor problem compared to everyone else, but has anyone found problems with the moodlets in this last update? The negative score seems to hang around after the moodlet disappears. It only happens with the negative ones, and resolves itself if the game is reloaded. It will occur again, however, if the reloaded game is played more than 5 minutes. Also, it only affects new games. My older saves (pre-patch) work fine. I'm only running the base game, brought up to the newest patch.
Oh Phew!!! It only took 5 hours, but I finally fixed it! The simsprograms.com website is a godsent angel!!!! Thank you so much for all the help. The only bad thing is I am no longer in the mood to play, lol!!!
Thanks for the suggestion. I tried to download them, starting with the first one, but when I tried to install it, it told me that I already had 1.19.044 installed, and that I would have to go back to an earlier version if I wanted to install it.
So still no success.
Hi all, for those of you receiving error messages regarding base game compatibility, you will want to download one of the following depending on which version you are running.
I followed Crinrict sugessted link then followed the instructions there and downloaded an update for the Sims 3 base game and it worked!!!Thanks so much Crinrict you a Sim saver!!!PS Make sure to shut down your anti virus before installing.
