This is my third room. It is done. Room Name: Landing on Atlantic Ave Details:
This space represents Atlantic Ave in Atlantic City with its ode to the Atlantic Ocean and street musicians all in the comfort of this Monopoly property-inspired living room.
During the time of the game's 1935 release, Atlantic City was a major resort. In fact, every property in Monopoly is/was part of Atlantic City --- except for one: Marvin Garden's is in Margate.
Landing on Atlantic Ave is a very beautiful and elegant livingroom! @coolsim9999999 The gold and blue colours, and marble walls are very nice. The furnishings are lovely.Very nice fountain and globe bar corners. The boat and the record player are nice touches in the room.
Thank you very much for your awesome and detailed review of my Atlantic Ave living room @rosemow ! I’m really happy that you like that I picked a formal style for the room, the gold/blue colors, marble walls and the way I furnished it ! I’m so glad you like the fountain and globe corners, the record player, (playing jazz to be like 1935) and the boat !
Thank you so much @SimTresa ! I included some blue to represent the blue ocean on the shore of Atlantic City and the room behind it is @AlJay's living room which is Park Place. I added some green pops to represent the green set in between the yellow and blue sets.
You're very welcome @healthxsims ! Blueocean (whom I know IRL) is really sick, and can't do the room. I guess I'll do it. I'll look forward to your participating in my next challenge.
This is my fourth room. It is done. Room Name: Kids' Boardwalk Playroom Details: This is what it's like to land on Boardwalk for children! Your car landed on it with two houses. Time to pay up or relax in your new playroom!
Kids' Boardwalk Playroom is a lovely playroom for kids! @coolsim9999999 The boardwalk theme design is great! Very nice dollhouse play area. The soft toys are cute.
Thank you very much for your awesome review of my playroom @rosemow ! I’m really happy that you like the boardwalk I placed in the room, dollhouse play space and the big stuffed toys !

Sure Creative notes about your room: The room is decorated in a gender neutral way. The main color scheme is black & white and red has been used as a pop of color. The room is well suited for an energetic child with an adventurous nature. For activities: there are a scout's board, a piece of clay to mold, a soccer ball, a toy (the panda toy; I thought that since there's a separate playroom, I didn't put many toys in this room), and there are books as well.
On the desk there's also space for doing homework. Back Story: This is what I found out about The Short Line: The Short Line on the Monopoly board, is a shortened name for the Shore Fast Line, a streetcar system that served Atlantic City and Ocean City, New Jersey from 1907 to 1948. The company that operated the streetcars of the Shore Fast Line was called the Atlantic City and Shore Railroad.
The term Short Line applies to any independent railroad with tracks covering a short distance or small region. Images:

The Shortline room is a lovely kids bedroom! @Aaleyn Very nice black and white colours, with touches of red. The furnishing is lovely and very nice circles wall pattern. Very nice study desk nook under the bunkbed. The scout board area is great.
Thank you very much for entering my challenge @Aaleyn ! Great room with nice details and pops of red and great back story! I love all the details your found about Shortline !
FYI: I felt like I just had to play Monopoly this week, and I'm in the process of beating my husband at the game the next time he can come to visit! LOL !
Did anyone else play the game this week, and who won?
It is great that doing this challenge has encouraged you to play a game of monopoly with your husband @coolsim9999999
I haven’t play monopoly for quite a while.
Thank you very much @coolsim9999999 And thank you for this wonderful Challenge! I had fun decorating the room
I haven't played Monopoly for a long time. We don't have Monopoly. I do like the game. I last played Monopoly years ago at friends' house. It would be nice to play it some time again

Thank you very much @rosemow ! It was a lot of fun ! Time to crack open that box and play it or get a copy if you don't have it @rosemow and @Aaleyn ! I wish we could play it all together !
You're very welcome @Aaleyn ! I'm so happy you had fun creating and decorating a room ! This challenge will be monthly . I took a break for awhile due to life stressors, but now, I'm back ! @JojoMOMSTER does the shells, but I did this one because she's working a lot right now.
@rosemow Do you know if I can still do this challenge on the forum between March 10 and July when the new forum opens? I think I heard that March 10 is the last day our posts will transfer with the thread until the new forum opens.
