Okay, this looks like fun. Also did they make it come out exactly when I'm figuring out what my newly YA Spellcaster Cassandra Goth is going to do with herself? Yes! That seems to have happened I was going to send her to university, but she might just drop out
Love the CAS - great fit with RoM content. I hope the work table thing comes in a modern version too.
and now I suddenly have plans for Cassandra Goth. Maybe I'll be playing the Goths until I catch this pack on sale. Agreed.. perfect match for RoM.
I'm wondering if the jewelry you make and put on in game will apply to every outfit. I would love to see this come with an update that allows accessories/make up to carry over across outfits in CAS, wishful thinking lol
While I agree for items like wedding rings etc, my Duchess would strongly protest if she had to wear her gala tiara for swimming in the pool.
That said, I would not mind if each crafted jewelry could be kept on a display object instead of in CAS, and that your sim could just click that object to use the jewelry, and then later - just click to move it back to the displsy from the sim. It could be a cool way, because owned jewelry would then be on display and getting an iverview would be easier than going into CAS. And my Duchess could control her tiara with ease
As a bit of a casual mineral collector I'll always welcome more gameplay related to crystals and metals. I'm here for it!
I anticipated a modern (lady) fashion bling cha-ching jewelry making stuffpack - which is something I'm just not that interested in to be brutally honest. What I did not expect however, is a pack full of elements of mysticism! Just in time as well, my poor Mooncasters were starting to get dangerously grouchy. Hooray, grouchy no more! Now, start digging, Witch!!
I'm absolutely delighted to see the return of the crystal tree! A crystal grid board is something I always wanted for sims that are involved in the arcane arts and the fact that gemstones can be charged with lunar goodyness is just fan-diddlyastic.The crystal moon mirror that came with Werewolves always reminded me of how much I'd like that.
Now the families will be able to transmit, generation after generation, jewelry made by an ancestor.
The famous "grandmother" engagement ring.
This right here would give me a fantastic reason to use that Keep Safe Box from Growing Together, provided that the jewelry created at the jewelry making station can always be returned to a sim's inventory or be kept in storage. Please let it be so.
I'm quite ready to craft some kind of "One Ring". ✨😈✨
I finally got a chance to watch the trailer today....
Yes yes yes! Love all the bb/cas items, especially that workbench. They really did their homework with all the bench tools: hammering, soldering, pendant rotary tool, bench pin, vise, etc etc. Love it!
The only thing I question: Why is a sim standing at the workbench? You can't make jewellery standing up, it requires steady hands to work teeny tiny details while usually wearing magnifiers to see properly. Whether you're hammering, soldering, drilling, or wire wrapping... you definitely need to be sitting down. You're not hammering a big iron sword like a blacksmithy.... you're hammering delicate precious metals that you need to see close up while you shape and form the tiny metal pieces. There's a reason why a jewellers work bench has a u-shaped cut out at the front.... it's so you can pull your chair that much closer to your work surface. It seems they chose to recycle already existing standing animations rather than create a new sitting animation for this crafting station? An odd choice, but maybe they did that to save on the budget for other things in the pack?
Anyways... I'm so glad they added the mystical twist to this pack, that puts the icing on the cake for me! This new hobby is going to be such a great add-on for both regular AND occult simmies.
Can't wait for next week!

I knew there was something off about it! I recently watched a miniseries where one of the main characters made metal jewelry, and he was always sitting down at his workbench. I could not figure out why I felt like something was wrong with the workbench animation in the trailer, but that was indeed it!
It took me forever to figure it out, but I finally realized who the sim with the vest reminds me of: it's Rachel, from Mythicquest! Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees the resemblance!
this video is so cute! I love how the jewels are shown in cas. This was important detail to me. I hope the detail shows up in game too. I wish there was a close up like the nails update.
ARETHABEE CREATES EYE-CATCHING JEWELRY FOR THE SIMS 4 CRYSTAL CREATIONS STUFF PACK
You Make The Sims Featuring ArethaBee
Our players make The Sims every day. They play to express their individualities, interests, and aspirations. They inspire us to keep innovating and improving. They’re creators in every sense of the word and we’re thrilled to share a detailed look at our latest collaboration with Sims player, ArethaBee.
ArethaBee is a renowned Simmer known for her the exquisitely detailed custom content she creates for The Sims. Her creations boast gorgeous hairstyles, fashion-forward pieces, and luxurious jewelry all meant to enrich her fellow Simmers’ gameplay.
Her journey with the life simulation game started at the age of 10, dissatisfied with the limitations of online dress up games, she craved a platform that would allow her to dive deeper into storytelling and playing out characters' lives. When a friend brought over a copy of The Sims for her to play, she was hooked, “it was actually my dream game! I instantly fell in love. I made my first piece of custom content years ago for The Sims 2 and I was amazed by how much I could customize the game with my own imagination, I think it’s one of the features that makes The Sims so special to me”.
The Sims™ 4 Crystal Creations Stuff Pack, features a collaboration with ArethaBee that brings three unique jewelry pieces to Create-A-Sim, a necklace, earrings, and a ring. We sat down with the creator to dive into the creative process.
What is your favorite The Sims 4 pack?
It is very hard to pick just one as my gameplay tends to change around different packs. Currently, it might be The Sims 4 Cottage Living or The Sims 4 Horse Ranch expansion packs as I really enjoy playing with loads of cute animals and farming.
What is the most chaotic thing you’ve ever made your Sim do?
One day I realized my game had been too peaceful, revolving around mundane friendships. I became inspired and had to try doing the opposite. I made an evil Sim that was basically going around, fighting and pranking other townies. Even then, it didn't seem like enough chaos, so I ended up sending her to the Realm of Magic to become a witch, master many spells (especially the mischief and untamed spells) only to make whoever she didn't get along with miserable. I still play with her sometimes and I have to say that Sims in her town are almost always in a bad mood.
Describe the jewelry pieces that you made.
I’ve created three pieces of jewelry for this pack. A necklace, earrings and ring that can be used as a set or worn as separate pieces. The necklace is made of a metal snake chain and colorful beads featuring a bright gemstone. The earrings have multiple hoops, as I just love stacked jewelry! I am really happy with the versatility of the ring as it matches the other accessories I made but could also be worn on its own or as a wedding ring.
Where did you draw inspiration from? Do you have designs, pieces, or experiences that you drew from?
My inspiration was definitely the jewelry designs I love and wear in real life. I wanted them to add variety to what we already had in the game while reflecting my style. Personally, I prefer simple accessories combined together that work for all sorts of different looks. That’s also why I wanted to add color with the beads and gemstones.
Can you explain the design process for making these jewelry pieces?
I started by looking for references that were similar to what I wanted to make for each piece of jewelry. This was probably the longest step in the whole process. Once I was certain about the styles I wanted to go for, I created 3D models of the concepts, playing around with the ideas and references I had. The last step was to pick color combinations that would be both fun and simple for everyday use. It was amazing getting feedback and encouragement from the Sims team during this process.
What are you most excited about for The Sims 4 Crystal Creations Stuff Pack?
I LOVE styling jewelry and am so excited to explore the new features that come along with this Stuff Pack that allows our Sims to create their own jewelry. Of course, seeing my work in the official gameplay after making my own custom content for a long time is another level of excitement for me. The 10 year old me that fell in love with this game wouldn't believe it.
How do you envision players styling these jewelry pieces in their gameplay?
I think while these jewelry pieces can be used for casual/daily looks, they can also be styled into colorful, fun or formal looks with the different swatch options. I hope that other Simmers enjoy using them for different kinds of occasions, I cannot wait to see the looks they will create with them.
The Sims 4 Crystal Collections Stuff Pack will be available for purchase beginning February 29 in The Sims 4 on PC via EA app, Mac® via Origin, Epic Games Store, Steam®, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One systems.
Love it so far, if I understood correctly we can also charge the crystals with a bad effect, so basically cursing them...that'd be just a wonderful hobby for one of my witches, make and sell cursed jewlry and of course have a set of the grim reaper ones for herself
I love love this trend where maxis is contracting simmers to create official content for the game. There are so many talented creators in the community and it’s nice to see them highlighted.
I assumed they would stop making packs, stuff packs or kits, but I believe they create similar things still sold in the sims 3 store for the sims 4 game.
@misty4m that was one of my favorite sets for Sims 3. I'm still waiting for the poker, roulette, and blackjack tables and slot machines
I sure hope we get casino stuff before they stop making packs for sims 4 along with hotels and more romance. I also still hope we get cars and then more medieval things. I’m a bit afraid we might not get these things though since sims 5 will probably be out soon, as 4 is getting hard to bring out things without bugs now.
Hey, I want to first thanks you all for creating such a wonderful game. It a outlet for people of all ages to be creative. I'm looking forward to Crystal Creations. My 2 questions are: can you make jewelry for your children? And is it possible to turn off ghost? :D I really hate when they inter your home unannounced and bring their friends along. We'll, love the game. Happy Creating!!
Hi @Melmel65 and welcome to the forum
Yes, you can turn off ghosts. Click on their urn or tombstone and then "release spirit to netherworld". That will delete the ghost from the game.

I'm going to have to take a look at her cc. There are only a few pieces of jewelry in game that I consistently use.
I was already planning to buy, most likely on day one or two, but I'm with you. As soon as I saw her name it was decided I'm getting it on day one.😁
She has everything. Clothes, hair, accessories, you name it. She's one of the biggest sources for the CC I use on my sims.😁
