So we're back with Detective John Action trying to solve a murder case, made more difficult by the fact no one can identify the victim. As the crime took place at the Roomies' house he starts his questioning there. Here he is talking with Zoe Patel (this is her 1960s makeover).
It turns out J Huntington III knows more about what's going on...and Action knows how to turn the screws in an interrogation.
Clues are to be found at the Lothario Club so Action and his girlfriend, Katherine, go undercover to find out more but there's always time for a dance...

Getting close to Halloween so I've been playing around with Vampires again. Plus, I've been playing around with more MM CC as well (normally I only play with alpha CC).

Benjamin bought a rock climbing machine. He set it up outside and did an upgrade:

When he finished, he put the machine away and changed into an everyday outfit. Then Benjamin poured a tankard of EAPA and drank it:

Benjamin, Shine, Princess Roddy, Sophia and Hamish Furystrykar and Shelly Heart headed to the Sutefani Onsen Bathhouse in Yukimatsu, Mt Komorebi. There they ate Yosenabe:

How are you doing?' Benjamin asked. 'I'm doing well, big brother. Between big sister Chloe's travel guides, and Tiffany's paintings, we're also doing well financially!' Wendy replied, smiling. 'Want to have a magic duel?' she asked. 'You're on!' Benjamin said. They took their positions:

Taking on the Master Level Western Pleasure Competition!
Princess Roddy, Shelly Heart and Tammy headed to New Appaloosa in Chestnut Ridge. First thing Tammy did was play with the ball at Duke's Hall:
Afterwards, she went over to the training area near the equestrian centre. Shelly Heart gave her eldest nephew's Clydesdale mare a brush and a hoof clean:
Tammy was ready for the master level western pleasure competition. The last thing to do was to do a bit of training:
Princess Roddy sensed his horse's nervousness. 'It's alright lass. You can do this.' he said, soothing Tammy with a neck scratch and a hug:

Shelly and Tammy worked well together, and also had fun! The results came...and they had won gold! The pair exited the equestrian centre triumphant!

What ultimately has saved my bacon, if you will, is that I started out with Erik being just 17. I also put a year in the chapter of their graduation from Britechester-U. Since I deemed each Term was a year (school year, effectively) I was able to conclude Erik was 20 upon graduation. He married Kayleigh shortly after they graduated. The year was 2279. That puts Jamison born about 2280, and I guesstimated from there. Sadly, I tried to have Cadence closer in age to the others, since she was born either right before or just after Peter aged to Toddler. The new system in place throws a monkey-wrench into normal calculations, however. When Cadence lost another tooth, I was jolted into realizing at ten, if she lost a tooth, that's serious stuff. Either she fell against something and loosened it, or somebody punched her in the mouth. She's a saucy little thing, but it hardly calls for brutality. So, I had to reconcile myself to the fact, she's still in that range where little kids are losing their baby teeth. Oi.
About the Prom . . .
I can only conclude that a mod or cc is interfering. I uninstalled Mortem when something was off, and now things are playing like normal, but since Mortem was the newest addition, I'm totally stumped and not really all that enthusiastic about doing the 50/50 thing with the mods. Proms are basically boring as in the same old, same old. I just feel badly as I viewed it as a chance for Erik's kids to finally meet Sims their own ages. Happily, they did get the party invite and the Sim I wanted the most to show up, did.
Today in their second year. Things are getting serious. Ji Ho signs a contract/seals his fate.

Erik glanced at her, smiled and shrugged his broad shoulders. “I suppose being the father of five teenagers. I don’t know, I just hope it wasn’t too much.”
“Can’t be, it was Classic Erik. I love you so much. And I love how the children have come to view you with new eyes, as it were. I think, too, maybe a bit more respect?”
“I have you to thank for that,” Erik said. “You gently removed the ‘myth from the man’ and made me more real to our own children. Who should have known all along that I’m just me.”
“Can’t blame them, they hear what the Paparazzi says, their classmates and even your own siblings. Their own Simstagram accounts bubble up with how you’re the greatest Rock Star of all time. And what is it like being your child? It’s hard to not view you as larger than life, sometimes.”
“They still don’t think I am much of a factor in their upbringing. It’s you whom they see as the main disciplinarian. Just because I insist on running things by you, first. I’m merely demonstrating that we’re a unit, when it comes to them.”

The kids, surprisingly, were all in bed, fast asleep by the time Erik and Kayleigh reached their home. Making the rounds, they saw that all was secured (horses, chickens, et al) and then they went to bed themselves.

Now for my nonsense, which was kind of enjoyable.
So Rhett's girlfriend wanted to meet at the bar and they have rootbeer floats so that's okay, I think it is funny how many sims just love this dance for no reason. Work cowgirl ha.
They didn't stay long as it was time for prom, so naturally they were both a little moody since they didn't get an invite, I forgot you brats think of your sister Rhett her boyfriend didn't even come.
They ate a bit and hung out but more importantly look what i found a mod for! no jester a proper prom king and queen I was hoping Rhett and Julie would win but I was just glad it was working.
They had a good time for the rest of the evening, I was trying to figure out if the girl there was meanmugging them or was jealous then I remembered oh yeah that's her sister. Thinking she might be lonely I sent Megan to entertain her.
They went to after prom and for once I let them hang out, just because I let her ride alone I didn't know this was a thing, also funny enough I found that her boyfriend didn't show up because he aged up so they'll have to reconnect later. I also made his mom cheat on his dad and they got a divorce. Don't ask why I don't know.

The temperatures were dropping, quickly. Erik feared the Winter would be just as extreme here as in Henford-on-Bagley, in which he was going to have to figure out what he could do to safeguard himself. For now, he was just grateful the very hot summer had come to an end. Rising early, he decided to enjoy this holiday to the max.
He performed one away concert and then sat for a magazine/interview/photoshoot. He noticed Jamison was also up early. Upon his return, Erik made his way into the kitchen. He was hungry and just realized he hadn’t eaten before he headed out.
“Looks like I got back just in time,” he said.
“Not so fast, there, Cowboy,” Kayleigh said. “That’s for me. You’re on your own this morning.”
“Am I in trouble?” he asked.
“No.”
Grabbing a quick, little something, Erik made his way out back. He tended his horses and then got down to business. “Hey, Shadowfax, are you up to practicing your jumps? No worries, I’ll be right there with you. I’ll put you through your paces, and you can put me through mine, okay? I think we both need a bit more work on jumping, don’t you?”
The two started out just fine. The horse was nice and loose, and Erik was plenty excited.
Erik rode him over to the jumping apparatus. They got set and then his stallion took off.
Form felt right and Erik took the horse through the jump.
Problem was, just as in the competition, that which cost them a higher finish came back to haunt them both. As they sailed over the gate, the top bar slipped to the ground. Drat.
Since the air was cool, Erik worked the horse for a few more tries. Three times, Shadowfax balked, which was concerning. Erik didn’t wish to quit under the circumstances. He felt the failure would hang over both of them. He pressed on and the stallion cleared three more jumps. Perfection. Erik even considered raising the bar for their next practice round. For now, he dismounted, brushed his horse down, cleaned his hoofs and then gave his stead a nice fat apple.
The day was a bit of a lazy day for all. The kids had all finished up their homework over the weekend. The girls saw to the care of the chickens. Harmony fed and played with them, while Melodie collected the eggs. “Wow, twenty-six eggs!” she called out. Cadence busily cleaned the coop. “Next time, I get to feed them and you can collect the bird poopie! You shouldn't dump on me just 'cos I'm little.”
Cadence dumped the trash and fed Arwin.
As the sky slowly gave way to the gray, purple and pink stripes of dusk, Peter’s phone chimed. “Hey, the Humor & Hijinks Festival is about to start. Dad, can we go?”
“Sure, I thought it would be a nice way to round out this holiday. Family Time.” To his chagrin he heard several groans.
“Hey, I can be fun. Really, give me a chance. Let’s go and put me to the test.”
On the way there, the family divided up into two teams. “The Girls against the Guys,” Erik said. “Think we can take them?”
Once at the festival, Kayleigh and her daughters drank from the Yellow punch, becoming Joksters.
Erik and his sons drank of the Purple punch, declaring themselves Pranksters. Or as Erik put it, Prankstas.
“Let the games begin,” he declared, throwing the drink back.
Both teams meandered about the lot, mostly joking and pranking their own family.
Melodie took over the microphone and told jokes. Most of them were pretty bad, but they counted all the same. After a time, Peter decided to mock her efforts.
No one was immume. Erik decided Melodie needed a good scare.
And so it went on.
“Think we should head on home?” Erik asked.
“No, let them have their fun. Besides, we don’t have a winning team, yet. Interesting strategy, yours. Pick up and leave when we’re ahead. Huh.”
“Your team’s ahead? Darn, I thought we were.”
After the announcement declared the Jokesters had won, and the fireworks went off, they packed up the family into the Hovercraft and headed back home. Kayleigh got to grilling up some spareribs for her family to feast on. Those who hadn’t watched Sports on TV did so. The day had been a fine one, and relaxing, which is something they all needed.

Anyway, Oliver Carter-Hayes just achieved a Pristine Reputation! Pretty useful if you're the future King... He's got a lot of friends, mostly girls! He's friends with Molly Prescott, Gemma Charm, Luna Villareal, Morgan Fyres and Aurelio Robles. Social Bunny notifications can be a pain in the butt, but it's a useful way to make friends!
They all had fun on the Selvadorada trip, although I did decide to send them home early since they were getting homesick.

“Erik, over here,” hailed the Paparazzo, to which Erik complied.
On the ride home to Crescent Ridge, Kayleigh swivelled her front seat toward Erik’s who was behind the navigation console of the Hovercraft. “You were on fire tonight, that was a great speech and so inspiring, too. What kindled it, if I may ask?”
Erik glanced at her, smiled and shrugged his broad shoulders. “I suppose being the father of five teenagers. I don’t know, I just hope it wasn’t too much.”
“Can’t be, it was Classic Erik. I love you so much. And I love how the children have come to view you with new eyes, as it were. I think, too, maybe a bit more respect?”
“I have you to thank for that,” Erik said. “You gently removed the ‘myth from the man’ and made me more real to our own children. Who should have known all along that I’m just me.”
“Can’t blame them, they hear what the Paparazzi says, their classmates and even your own siblings. Their own Simstagram accounts bubble up with how you’re the greatest Rock Star of all time. And what is it like being your child? It’s hard to not view you as larger than life, sometimes.”
“They still don’t think I am much of a factor in their upbringing. It’s you whom they see as the main disciplinarian. Just because I insist on running things by you, first. I’m merely demonstrating that we’re a unit, when it comes to them.”
“Oh, trust me, Jamison hangs on your every word. He wants to be just like you. And I’ve heard him utter just how much like his grandpa you are. So, take solace in that, my dear. Your children love you.” Kayleigh reached over to pat his arm.
The kids, surprisingly, were all in bed, fast asleep by the time Erik and Kayleigh reached their home. Making the rounds, they saw that all was secured (horses, chickens, et al) and then they went to bed themselves.

@DaniRose2143 Thank you! It is weird to see everyone out of the house at the same time. The good news is as Jacob is home first, he can cook dinner for everyone as else's needs will be lower than his when they get home and the others can take care of their other needs while he is cooking.

Cayden is quite pretty isn't he? Funny enough I also didn't see the urn immediately, I cheated it and then went downstairs I thought it didn't work at first ha. I'm glad someone remembered Magnus he is loveable enough to be miffed if noone did. He is pretty cute wait till you see his parents. She will mellow out soon...the cure is more donuts.

Now for my nonsense, which was kind of enjoyable.
So Rhett's girlfriend wanted to meet at the bar and they have rootbeer floats so that's okay, I think it is funny how many sims just love this dance for no reason. Work cowgirl ha.
They didn't stay long as it was time for prom, so naturally they were both a little moody since they didn't get an invite, I forgot you brats think of your sister Rhett her boyfriend didn't even come.
They ate a bit and hung out but more importantly look what i found a mod for! no jester a proper prom king and queen I was hoping Rhett and Julie would win but I was just glad it was working.
They had a good time for the rest of the evening, I was trying to figure out if the girl there was meanmugging them or was jealous then I remembered oh yeah that's her sister. Thinking she might be lonely I sent Megan to entertain her.
They went to after prom and for once I let them hang out, just because I let her ride alone I didn't know this was a thing, also funny enough I found that her boyfriend didn't show up because he aged up so they'll have to reconnect later. I also made his mom cheat on his dad and they got a divorce. Don't ask why I don't know.

Hard At Play, a NEW Erik Cantrell Save
The temperatures were dropping, quickly. Erik feared the Winter would be just as extreme here as in Henford-on-Bagley, in which he was going to have to figure out what he could do to safeguard himself. For now, he was just grateful the very hot summer had come to an end. Rising early, he decided to enjoy this holiday to the max.
He performed one away concert and then sat for a magazine/interview/photoshoot. He noticed Jamison was also up early. Upon his return, Erik made his way into the kitchen. He was hungry and just realized he hadn’t eaten before he headed out.
“Not so fast, there, Cowboy,” Kayleigh said. “That’s for me. You’re on your own this morning.”
“Am I in trouble?” he asked.
“No.”
Grabbing a quick, little something, Erik made his way out back. He tended his horses and then got down to business. “Hey, Shadowfax, are you up to practicing your jumps? No worries, I’ll be right there with you. I’ll put you through your paces, and you can put me through mine, okay? I think we both need a bit more work on jumping, don’t you?”
Erik rode him over to the jumping apparatus. They got set and then his stallion took off.
Form felt right and Erik took the horse through the jump.
Problem was, just as in the competition, that which cost them a higher finish came back to haunt them both. As they sailed over the gate, the top bar slipped to the ground. Drat.
Since the air was cool, Erik worked the horse for a few more tries. Three times, Shadowfax balked, which was concerning. Erik didn’t wish to quit under the circumstances. He felt the failure would hang over both of them. He pressed on and the stallion cleared three more jumps. Perfection. Erik even considered raising the bar for their next practice round. For now, he dismounted, brushed his horse down, cleaned his hoofs and then gave his stead a nice fat apple.
The day was a bit of a lazy day for all. The kids had all finished up their homework over the weekend. The girls saw to the care of the chickens. Harmony fed and played with them, while Melodie collected the eggs. “Wow, twenty-six eggs!” she called out. Cadence busily cleaned the coop. “Next time, I get to feed them and you can collect the bird poopie! You shouldn't dump on me just 'cos I'm little.”
Cadence dumped the trash and fed Arwin.
As the sky slowly gave way to the gray, purple and pink stripes of dusk, Peter’s phone chimed. “Hey, the Humor & Hijinks Festival is about to start. Dad, can we go?”
“Sure, I thought it would be a nice way to round out this holiday. Family Time.” To his chagrin he heard several groans.
“Hey, I can be fun. Really, give me a chance. Let’s go and put me to the test.”
On the way there, the family divided up into two teams. “The Girls against the Guys,” Erik said. “Think we can take them?”
Erik and his sons drank of the Purple punch, declaring themselves Pranksters. Or as Erik put it, Prankstas.
“Let the games begin,” he declared, throwing the drink back.
Both teams meandered about the lot, mostly joking and pranking their own family.
Melodie took over the microphone and told jokes. Most of them were pretty bad, but they counted all the same. After a time, Peter decided to mock her efforts.
No one was immume. Erik decided Melodie needed a good scare.
And so it went on.
“Think we should head on home?” Erik asked.
“No, let them have their fun. Besides, we don’t have a winning team, yet. Interesting strategy, yours. Pick up and leave when we’re ahead. Huh.”
“Your team’s ahead? Darn, I thought we were.”
After the announcement declared the Jokesters had won, and the fireworks went off, they packed up the family into the Hovercraft and headed back home. Kayleigh got to grilling up some spareribs for her family to feast on. Those who hadn’t watched Sports on TV did so. The day had been a fine one, and relaxing, which is something they all needed.

Anyway, Oliver Carter-Hayes just achieved a Pristine Reputation! Pretty useful if you're the future King... He's got a lot of friends, mostly girls! He's friends with Molly Prescott, Gemma Charm, Luna Villareal, Morgan Fyres and Aurelio Robles. Social Bunny notifications can be a pain in the butt, but it's a useful way to make friends!
They all had fun on the Selvadorada trip, although I did decide to send them home early since they were getting homesick.
Only one thing happened worth mentioning.
