I absolutely love the Modern Luxe Kit! The Poolside Splash Kit has some cute bathing suits, but I donβt care enough about CAS to buy kits for them right now. Maybe someday, lol!
I liked the idea of the Poolside Splash kit, but I'm bitterly disappointed with the swatches. There's about 10 solid swatches to choose from, and the patterns/prints are on some items, but not all. While I'm not massively fussed about patterns, I really wish they included more solid swatches. It doesn't seem like it would be a difficult thing to do.
I bought the Modern Luxe kit too, but I don't think I really need to check it out. Many are comparing it to the Vintage Glamour stuff pack and yeah... I'm seeing that too. I'm sure it's a nice collaboration, but it's hardly unique.
I was never opposed to kits, but wow, they're becoming really dull and dreary. I thought these themes were supposed to be more "out there", but it feels like we're seeing more and more repeat styles.
Sims 4 Wish List:
> Option to toggle on/off random townie generation.
> Turn vacation worlds into residential worlds.
> Option to purchase separate worlds or a world pack.
The Sims 4 Modern Luxe Kit really hit it home for us when it comes to visually interesting pieces and items that can be used in a new way. We love the colour palette of this kit. Although thereβs a fair amount of neutrals, it balances out nicely with different pastel colours and a really beautiful rich navy thatβs not common in most contemporary colour palettes. Both the style and colour palette of every object matches seamlessly so players can really get an exact match when furnishing a whole room with this kit. You can also mix and match easily because all the colours pair nicely with each other.

Yeahhhh, Modern Luxe kinda feels like an extension of Vintage Glamor a bit if only due to being condemned by having the same style. If a different style was chosen still broadcasting that 'luxury' part it probably would have been all right.
Sucks to hear the color palettes are disappointing with the pool side one. For it being pretty 'meh' it could at least have a lot more choices in colors.
Only bought a handful of kits cause most of them seem like an extension of other packs that I really don't want or seemed like they could have fit with other packs. They've been rather unimpressed. I mean there's two kit packs that are all about 'plants'. Definitely wasted a pack with that.
Are the bikinis that are attached to the floaties available to use without the floaties?
I don't have the Kits yet, but I didn't notice it from the review videos that I've seen. There's one that reminds the top part, but it looked lke the mid part is different (underwired?) I love the simple triangle bikini tops and I often use the base game ones. I wished for some more colors and patterns and the ones attached to the floaties were great but not when I have to pretend my Sim can't swim if I would want to use them.

They don't come as separate pieces, but if you use CC, I suppose someone will separate them soon enough. The floaties look so silly on the adult sims.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I don't use CC, at least until Sims 4 is done and there will be no updates anymore. Maybe I will get them then.
Not too difficult. Maybe a learning curve if you've never played around with a slightly more advanced mod. TwistedMexi has videos on his mods including T.O.O.L
I learned through his video and reading the mod description.
Thanks @SimplyJen. That's what I've been doing. I'll probably just stick with that if there's no difference.
I can tell that person used T.O.O.L to not only raise the pillows but also size them up slightly.
The difference between the mod and in-game cheats is you can't control the exact height and size. It might hover over instead of fitting just on top and sizing up might be too big. Not totally sure as I don't have the kit.
I like the mod because you can perfectly place things (and raise mirrors!). Uploaded lots using T.O.O.L are Gallery friendly. The mod won't be required for those downloading and the changes stay in place.

They fit my budget especially since I had to replace my graphics card. Mind I am very very happy with my new graphics. I am over the moon in fact.

edit: But if you just want to raise the pillows you could probably make do with the MOO raise/lower cheat.
