It took me forever to realize that the oldest posts show first in forums. So much info is no longer relevant.
Why can't we see new posts first that contain relevant issues, newer discussions, etc. Or at least, have a filter to switch between oldest and newest. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's tired of scrolling through the multi-page threads to find the newest info.
@The_Mercuria
You only see the oldest post first when you visit the thread for the first time. I think that is essencial to learn what the thread is all about since the thread titles are often not that telling or can't include all the information.
So when you visit a thread for the first time you can click on the last page (like shown in the image) to skip the other posts and read only the newest.
And when you visit the thread again it will automatically jump to the latest post you haven't seen.
@Lenny_Ogg I don't think she is talking about individual threads. In the last few days when I come to the forums from Google, I get sent to the last page of recent discussions.
Something may have changed with Google algorithms . I always came here before by typing Sims 4 Forums and I would get links to various forum categories including Recent Discussions. Now when I type Sims 4 Forums I get only links to EA Answers.
So now I have to type Official Sims Forum Recent Discussions and I get a link that takes me to the last page. To get to the more recent discussions, I just have to click on First at the bottom of the page.
Not sure if this is a change on the forum or with Google, but it is annoying. At first I thought I was signed out because I didn't see the number of new posts listed. But then realized I was on the last page.

I just want to be able to sort them by date ascending or descending.

I believe that the site is set up to have the pages like that, to have them pick up where the reader left off at. If I haven't been able to keep up with a thread, I will just go to the last page so that when I go to it the next time, it will put me either back on that page or the newer page depending on if the last post that I've is the last posting for that page.
Also, why was my OP edited? Did I say something wrong?
Did you originally post it in the Forum Ideas and Feedback section or somewhere else? If it was in another forum section, then that would become reason.

That will work on desktop for sure. I don't know if I can do that on the phone.
