Sounds pretty interesting to me. And its actually giving me ideas on how to shape werewolf/spellcaster relations in my game depending on the lore. Like perhaps Mooncasters were a sort of subgroup of spellcasters who worshiped the moon and gained their power from it, or were perhaps a "hybrid" race with werewolf ancestry. Or vice versa! I'd like to see how this is shaped.
I appreciate the lore, but I was hoping for perhaps a couple of new potions or spells for cross-pack gameplay if you have both Realm of Magic & Werewolves; and although I knew it was unlikely, it would have been awesome if you could have a Spellcaster/Werewolf hybrid.
I love having a variety of lighting!! Atmosphere is so important to me in my games. That is why I love the look of the green eco footprint. The industrial footprint adds amazing atmosphere to worlds too. I am so curious as to how the lunar phases affect all the Sims!!! This pack looks fantastic. I am glad they are redeeming themselves after the disaster that was My Wedding Stories!

Oh no doubt, I wasnt expecting anything like a new potion or a spell to come with spellcasters although that wouldve been cool. Something like that would have to coincide with a RoM refresh, if and when that ever happens.
The fog effect shows up better here than in the trailer. It's still a thin, wispy fog, not the thick stuff some of us wanted. Like a lot of the big ideas we had early on, this will end up being better than what we wanted then. A thick world covering fog would require a big gaming system which most people don't want or need, or can't afford. This thin fog still lends the world an eerie feel which is good enough.
The one question left is, is this restricted to just Moonwood Mill or is there a way we can have it in all worlds? It would also be fitting in Forgotten Hollow. So hopefully it's something we can have elsewhere. Fingers crossed on that.
They did but like...It's kinda pointless. They got the cute learn to howl thing and some positive moodlets from fighting. That's still a bit of a let down. Toddlers I can understand, but I don't like how the supernatural stuff always skips over the child stage. Especially spellcasters (without mods, anyway), mermaids, and now werewolves.
Werewolf kids got something which is more than the nothing that the other occult children have in their packs. A tiny step in the right direction.
Eh. Normally I'd agree something is better than nothing but the something we got feels about the same as nothing.
Except that since we didn't see what the kids got, we don't know that.
I get that it would be cool if kids (and toddlers) had a wolf form. I'm not disagreeing there. But until I see what else the kids can do besides howl, I'm not going to dismiss it as "like nothing" when I don't actually know that it's going to be "like nothing."
I'm all for keeping expectations in check, but dissing the pack for a default you're not sure it has is a bit much.
If there was anything worth showing off for them that we haven't already seen (i.e. the "learn to howl" thing) I'm almost willing to bet we would have seen or been told about it by now. What is most likely the case is that they'll just get something like a confidence moodlet from fighting other kids, and a tense moodlet from whatever "growing pains" is. Would I love to be proven wrong? Yeah, but right now I'm very confident in saying anything relating to werewolves and younger sims will be relegated to moodlets that, 9 times out of 10, we probably won't even notice because they're buried under a bunch of other moodlets.
Other life stages getting the shaft when it comes to supernaturals is nothing new, not even in the other games, but it's still kind of annoying to see. Especially when it's for a supernatural form that did used to include them.
But that's just the bitter family/legacy/storytelling player in me talking. I'm used to that aspect of the sims being screwed over in this iteration of the game (even if they were starting to get better with recent packs) Overall, this pack does still look like it'll be really good.
They did say they have some "feral" animations like biting their toys while playing. I think it's cute, it's like in TS2 where vampire toddlers bit their stuffed animals necks, wizard toddlers made their toys levitate, etc.
It's not a puppy werewolf form but it's pretty neat in my opinion.
I think for the first time ever I'm really excited about discovering all the lore in the pack.
Agreed, I was planning on getting the pack when it became discounted but, depending on what gamechangers show I may be getting it this month.
I'm actually considering getting a little notebook so I can keep track of characters and lore.
I've been doing that for about a month now with my Tartosa story and just general notes about interesting things I see in the game. The depth of this pack is perfect for that. And probably the only way I'd keep it all straight in my head.🙂

Tales From The Myst
The Blue Moon Jukebox
I'm betting we can't play Celene without her losing her job. Or Greg.
I'm so sad they apparently didn't include the blonde girl from the trailer.
