Hello once again, folks!
I hope your holiday is going well. Mine isn't, sadly. To this day, I still play The Sims 3. I've recently acquired a new PC...Hurray! But unfortunately, only less than half of my custom content was able to be installed in the game. When I try to install everything else, the launcher throws an error message for each item. I'll provide a screenshot or two, which will show a few of these messages, as I can't remember what each one says...

The steps I've tried included restarting the game launcher and unchecking the boxes for several of the content patches. I've even tried redoing the installation a few times over. And it never seems to work. Please tell me, anyone! What am I doing wrong?

But anyway, the error shown can often mitigated by having the TS3 Store Patches in place. They are no longer automatically offered up by the Launcher for 1.67 installs as they once were (this is not an issue for 1.69/Origin installs). Have you copied the Store (Content) Patches over from your prior install?
If this is a retail disc install (not Steam), it might help to run the 1.67 SuperPatcher even if you had already run it recently.

A steam user shared their store patch here:

Hello! I was not aware I had to copy the Store (Content) Patches over from my prior install. And yesh, I am a steam user. But ciane, the 2nd site you sent me says quote: "The file you are trying to download is no longer available."
Does this mean I'm out of luck and thus, cannot play The Sims 3, unless I find the relevant Store Patches on my older PC, and re-install them? Where do I find them? And more importantly, how do I re-install them? Let me know soon...Thanks!
The package file goes into a folder called ContentPatch in your TS3 user game folder in Documents. If you don't have a ContentPatch folder already, you can always create one. The path should look something like
C:\(or This PC, username, etc)\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 (this is your game folder)\ContentPatch\(contents)

S'mee again. As of today, I am still unable to install most of my custom content. Here are the steps I've tried...
I: Downloading and installing ciane's first link onto the appropriate game folder. -No effect.
II: Uninstalling, then deleting ALL of my game files. An interesting thing to note is how they keep self-installing onto my OneDrive C:\ folder.
III: Only copy/pasting files and folders which my main game folder needs into it. -No effect!
I even tried validating the files on Steam! 4 files were noted as failed to validate and quote: "would be reacquired". And even after having done all this, it still throws this error at me:
I am honestly reaching the end of my rope here. All I wanna do is play this game as I had it on my older PC. I just don't know what to do next.

That is not quite correct, or at least it shouldn't be. I am a Steam TS3 player and never have any trouble with my store content. To purchase point bundles, and it would be the same for the couple of store worlds that must be purchased by cash rather than points, I use the Origin.com website through a web browser, not the Origin client program. The accounts to have to mesh though, in order for the content to be usable and then the points (or store worlds) show up in the TS3 store a short while after purchase.
