It is a fun venue for Sims to visit!
Thank you @pandykekeke im not fast really its just I am at my comp all day every day as I have health problems, I do take 2 days at least per build im only quick at starters
Your Eco Tiny Home & Farm is amazing, so detailed I Love it! By the way you can do a 'cheat' room for a tiny build by making a room and leave 1 piece wall missing then just pull it to meet the other side give it a try it does work on ground level with no base so it has no tiles and I often do that!
Aw sorry to hear about the health problems but it's so cool to see all the different builds you come up with!
And wow thanks for the tip! So that room still counts as indoors, as in my sim won't be freezing their butt off in the winter??
Thank you @rosemow for those lovely comments both here and in my thread about my White Eco Villa very kind of you.
Thank you @pandykekeke im glad to hear you like seeing what I dream up I think I have a simming brain as its what I think of most of the time Lol and I just hope people enjoy using what I make. I think that room is fine in the cold as many do that idea now, you could let me know if that happens as I play in summer by using the weather machine with my builder sim.
City Bowling is a great place to go bowling @illusie and I love the city theme of the exterior and that roof is perfect, seeing the trees through it in the day and starry sky at night is wonderful
I m going to build a modern mansion and I need tips for window placement because my houses turn out fine but then I put windows on and they look terrible
I m going to build a modern mansion and I need tips for window placement because my houses turn out fine but then I put windows on and they look terrible
I'd recommend placing the windows after you decide what all of the interior spaces are. Once you know, for example, that one area is the kitchen and you know where you want the sink to go and you know you want a window above the sink, you know where to place the window. That way, even if you initially think it doesn't look good, it will still make sense from the inside which honestly will help it to make sense from the outside too.
Beauty is Everywhere is a lovely kitchen! @chips46 The vase of homely flower is very pretty, and looks lovely placed on the counters in the corner nooks, and on each side of the door for Sims to enjoy seeing as they enter and exit the room. The pink, grey, blue, yellow colours of the room, and the very nice wall pattern, complement very well with and reflect the colours of the flowers. The colours are very warming, calming, and peaceful! Very nice layout and furnishing of the room!
I have posted more about your room on the challenge thread.
I'm not a big builder but I've been renovating some of the apartments for the last few days (this one is 702 Zenview), I've never really played with apartments as I don't really like the ones already there but I managed to completely turn this apartment around into something I really love! I cut the size of the balcony down a lot so the insides a lot bigger and more open than in the original and I managed to turn it into a loft apartment! Here's some screenshots
Gonna put the rest in a spoiler as there's a few lol
The Floorplan:
First Floor:
Second Floor:
I really love loft apartments and open plan apartments so I'm pretty happy with the result. Also just a building tip I discovered on the way, if you have the TOOL mod you can just get rid of the existing windows and put your own in, even in apartments where they don't allow you to change them so that's how I have totally different windows everywhere!
Your makeover of 702 Zenview is lovely! @Onverser Very nice furnishings and great layout! It is great that you turned it into a loft apartment! The new windows are very nice! Sims will enjoy looking out at the City views as well as enjoying the sunlight coming in. Very nice sofa seats sitting area for Sims to enjoy relaxing watching tv, and great study desk nook in the corner for Sims to enjoy using the computer. The bedrooms are lovely! The plants in the upper level bedroom are very nice nature and green touches. Sims will enjoy playing the guitar and quietly meditating on the meditation stool in the sunlight through the windows. Very nice floor rugs through the apartment.
It is a lovely apartment!
@illusie such an amazing-looking bowling alley! wonderfully done. @Onverser nice! i feel you about never using those apartments. bleh, mine definitely need a makeover. @chips46 love the details!

The interior furnishings are lovely! Very nice room to do woodworking, candle making. fizzy drinks making and recycling in! Very nice floor rugs in the bedroom. I randomly wanted to build a motel, so after getting some sudden and odd inspiration from a video game Ive been playing, I decided on this new build! I call it, the Sandy Springs Motel.
Pretty basic motel that you'd likely find off the interstate during a roadtrip. I kinda hope I made its exterior sorta reminiscent of the 50s/60s? Though its a low-budget motel, I didnt want it to be crummy looking. Its a bit simple, but I wanted it to be something someone would enjoy staying in for a night or two. Plus, there's a pool and a free hot/cold breakfast too!
All rooms are 2 Queen Beds with Microwave and fridge
Sandy Springs Motel is a lovely motel for Sims to enjoy staying at! @InuMiroLover Very nice exterior design of the buildings and the colours are very nice. The flower boxes along the edges of the lot are pretty! Very nice wraparound balconies and yellow doors. The car parking areas are great! Very nice raised pool and outdoors dining patio! The furnishing of the rooms where Sims stay is very nice! The bedhead area design is great! The beds are nice placed between the tables with lamps. It is great there is a microwave and mini fridge in the room. Very nice design of the check in counter area! It is great there is a computer room for Sims to enjoy accessing the internet. The breakfast room is lovely! Very nice natural wood flooring and wood furniture. The plants on the tables and lilac curtains are pretty! The food wall art is a very nice touch.
So I was doing some research for work and I chanced upon this ad for an architectural firm in an 1889 newspaper.
I'm more of a modern builder (MCM being my favorite) but I wanted to know what it's like to make a build in a style outside of my strength and comfort zone. It ended being a lot harder than anticipated. lol Here's 1889 Rockland: a middle class Victorian residence. It's relatively small (I used the original plan's dimensions and built it on a 20x30 lot) but it took me two days to build and furnish I tried to make everything look authentic so please check it out so my suffering would not be in vain.
It's a Blue Victorian!
Here's the wraparound porch and landscape details. I limited the use of packs so I didn't put in a rocking chair. But if you have Nifty Knitting, you could just swap the bench for one.
Foyer. The bay window is where the original stairs were supposed to be. Since we can't make spiral stairs yet, I had to switch around the floor plan. The door at the end leads to the...
Salon. It's so cramped in here! But everything should be accessible by your Sims.
The butler's pantry is soooo small—I made it into a functional kitchen—and it opens up into the dining room.
Upstairs, you land into this small hall
where you can access the only bathroom (not shown), the drawing room,
the parent's bedroom, and
the kid's bedroom.
Behind the main house are the ruins of the scullery and servant's quarters, it is now converted to a picnic area.
These screenshots are taken in Glimmerbrook but you don't need the Realm of Magic GP to play it.
P.S. The house really only has one bathroom and it's on the second floor. It's just how it was designed since it had an outhouse (which I didn't build). Maybe just put a toilet bush near the picnic area??
