@mercuryfoam no, Caleb is the closest guess XD I'm not sure you caught my uni run - it's Raylan, aka original trailer Caleb!
The 'Caleb' in the trailers acts pretty different to our soft boi - creeps on people, uses powers against others, hangs out with Vlad and Miss Hell, all that stuff. Actually has a dark form and, when they showed off CAS, they showed a totally different name, aspiration, and traits.
So in my main story, I've decided he's Caleb and Lilith's ancestor, and gave him a slightly different look (the longer hair) to differentiate him. He starts out as your pretty standard, traditional vampire - he's pretty old (nearing two hundred), seduces people to drink from them, sees vampires and humans as an Us vs Them kind of dynamic. He's pretty A-OK with more... morally dubious (read: Evil) vampires like Vlad and Miss Hell, including having a casually flirtatious relationship with Miss Hell as well. Meeting Lilith, his great-great-granddaughter, is a pretty big moment for him!

And won't lie, I got Vampires for the Vatores, saw them on the wiki and was like, "Ooh, good vampires and a cool sibling dynamic? Sign me up!" I actually had human Vatores in game before I even got the pack!

@ryttu3k When I played my Caleb/Don combo, I humanized him and changed his looks to how they were before Miss Hell turned him (if it really was him, lol). Meaning I gave him darker skin and brown eyes. I thought he looked good like that. When I play him as vampire, I give him that original dark form. He is too bland for me otherwise. The names were probably not decided on at the time of the trailer and like it so often happens, things changed a lot upon release. Just like the Sages were changed when RoM was released. I recall people asking why the originals from the trailer weren't the standard ones. Since there is no Raylan Lange in the gallery of neither Maxis nor SimCreator050, I take it they just changed him into the current softie Caleb to spare the faint of heart

Nothing to show today. For the last two weeks, most of my time playing Sims has been spent on setting the stage - I have built several houses, downloaded several more from the gallery and am in the process of restoring family relationships that were lost while changing saves. I am about 2/3 through, but it´s the more complex part that awaits. I promise I´ll show the results once I am finished.
Fun fact: I discovered that Marisol Flex is still getting royalties for the vlog she posted as a child, in a different save, informing the world of her father Don Lothario´s untimely and suspicious death. To be fair, the vlog was a hit and made her famous overnight, but one would have expected the world to have moved on after 15+ years. Apparently not, Don´s legacy lives on Poor girl, it´s still her most profitable vlog and main claim of fame.
It's a complement to your ability to get into a villain's head, and also a hope that you will only use this power for good. For now I am going to have faith in Tony's new strength.

I think I’ve crossed the line when it comes to writing sad stuff because I’m depressing myself reading what I’m writing now even though I’m the author (lol). I’m new to writing and I’m still in the novice stage of simple things like pacing and plotting and arcs etc. I don’t have a creative background either, but like you said, we’re just learning
I can't say I'm depressing myself when I write something sad, but I'm alway afraid it might depress someone else. I'm used to reading a lot of sad things, which is why I have a very hard time figuring out where to draw the line Sometimes I think of a scene that'll probably work out very great and then I'm like "wait wait wait. Is this even T for teen?" Like, when I was writing a flashback scene for Tony's childhood and how he was bullied by Lucas (I think you were reading my story around that time, I recall a comment from you), I had to seriously strip that scene down from a lot of stuff planned at first because it might've been against the forum rules. That scene was supposed to be much more brutal... But yes - it's all a process of learning. And so far the most important thing I learnt is not being afraid to go full on with any idea you have because it might lead to the most amazing stories being created

I've seen a few comments here about the other "What Happened in Your Game" thread and how people are feeling intimidated by everything going on in this thread and being scared to post. So I'd like to share a bit of my own thoughts if that's ok
So I'm an incredibly shy and socially awkward person. I reread everything I write at least twice. As soon as I post something I get the instant urge to delete it. I'm always scared that people will react negatively or even worse - not react at all.
When I first came here on the page 348, I felt like a little clumsy outsider trying to hang out with the cool kids. I spent far more time on my post then I should've and considered at least ten times whether I should upload it or not. I got two responses (Becka28 and AlwaysAsking - the people that still make me jump around the house excited every time I get a notification from them ) and I felt on top of the world
Nearly a year has passed and I'm still worried whenever I post anything. I barely catch up with everyone's posts and feel guilty for only leaving awesome's on them and not commenting. But the people here are seriously incredible and no one has ever been mean to me, not even when I said something stupid (and I bet I did that a lot ). For some reason I feel more safe and secure here then anywhere else on the internet. I've made the most amazing friends in this thread - how crazy is that!? So if you want to post here but are afraid because there's a lot of big stories going on - don't be. This is probably the kindest thread on the forum. Because if it made little-scared-shy-incapable-of-not-feeling-awkward-24/7 me stick around for nearly a year, I'm sure it will make you accepted as well. No update from me. I've thought of a name theme I can give Caroline and Peter's kids... Greek mythology-inspired names, like Athena, Artemis, that kind of thing. There are more girl names that I like the idea of than boy names, I feel it'd be a bit much to name a baby "Adonis" for example. Apollo could be quite cute, though.
@AlwaysAsking Lol, you are correct but I also think that is a social norm in this save I don't know do you ever make a save or just mess around to make sure something is working and things just go one way and you have to roll with it? That's this one right here. Quin is just a doll I don't know how long they have had him I noticed that sometimes it's like loading up with mccc it finishes what it started cause I check households a lot and he wasn't there before. Ohhh! Thank you for liking my story! Curtis’s updates are always gritty with crude, trashy people so I’m glad you’re not put off by it. I read my story and go ‘ugh everyone deserves to be locked up!!’ Text-in-pic is pretty common on tumblr so I can’t take credit, not my invention. I’m pretty whimsical when it comes to the format of the story, sometimes I do screenshots, other times I write. Yes, Curtis has got quite a sob story. Actually I should warn you, this story started because I was challenged to create a sim universe where everything goes wrong. (I was told I coddle my sims too much and have them all be successful good people.) Hence Curtis is a getaway driver in the criminal branch .

The hum is really adorable. I don't know if mermaids do exactly the same, but it'd be weird for them not to have something similar. Both genders do the flipper thing and dolphin speech. Far from all the time though, in my experience at least.
And you noticed Duane's "predicament". You described it very accurately. I really like him, so the suffering was exclusively on my part
Paka'a Uha does remind one of a koi fish. He's a jovial goofball, so these happy colors are probably supposed to reflect that
I think the thalassophobia moodlet is randomly assigned. I just roleplay a little around it.
And it wouldn't surprise me if toddlers become miserable from poorly played instruments, lol. The toddler was asleep when she played though. She's a child now and is more or less a little Paka'a clone. I look forward to get some good pics of her.

I think she is re-finding what happiness means and especially what it means for herself. This makes me all emotional too~ Mckenna’s been through a lot and she really has grown, they all have, but Kenna had such a rocky start in more ways than one.

Matty very much likes Mckenna and so does Kenna, she is just a bit unflirty, so I take that as she is terrified of love, she does not even know how it got this way. I was actually playing my Adlers and I came back to Mckenna having a full green bar with Matty, so here we are.

So now that Matty has a new job and Angel is working full time, Juliana was called in to be the babysitter for Rainbow as she did online school.

Lilith and Julianna started casually but happily chatting, they talked about the weather, how Lilith was doing, how Juli was doing, how much they liked Mckenna, Max and of course Rainbow.
And it started to work, even if Rainbow still did not really look at Julianna, she started to say things and ask questions "through" Lilith since she trusted her so much.

She and the other boy celebrated and Rainbow hopped down, taking a step towards Juliana.
"Hey um, you got magic to get up?"
"Nope, but I know a way." Juliana was glad to see some interest,

"It is... .but I'd be happy to share it with you, wanna know?"
"Yeah!" Rainbow nodded eagerly and moved around impatient
"Okay I'll use the last of my sea monster powers to go to the secret way, follow me!"
She moved to crawl along the floor and to her amusement, Rainbow giggled and followed in the same manner.
"We have to blow the these bubbles and it will change me back to regular old Juliana." she continued in a weak sea monster tone. "Do you think you wanna do that?"
"Uh-huh! I blow good bubbles, I think."
"I bet your bubbles will be just the thing to help me."
Lilith was not far off from them, watching but letting them play.
They all regroup back to the build blocks to finish their build, there is a much better atmosphere in the air compared when they first got there!

"So Rainbow any questions for me? Besides me being recovered from a sea monster?"
She laughed and so did Rainbow,
"Um, uh-huh, are you a spell-caster?"

The two of them worked on explaining about what romantic love was and how it different from familial love but also how it was not stronger, and how the heart had room for equal love even if different types.
And also how Max would never, ever go away from her.
Once home and close to bedtime, Lilith read Rainbow a kid friendly book on this topic and it helped cement things a bit more for her.
BUT nothing helped more than Max's own words and reassurance.
"So you see Angel? @mercuryfoam Yes they are! Zion and Avery are the parents. He's a vampire and she's a wizard (who has an anxiety disorder). Talia and Dre are their kids and they took after they're parents. Talia inherited the vampirism and Dre is a wizard like his mom. Been playing them for like a year now and I can't let go because I love them so much lol

@mercuryfoam no, Caleb is the closest guess XD I'm not sure you caught my uni run - it's Raylan, aka original trailer Caleb!
The 'Caleb' in the trailers acts pretty different to our soft boi - creeps on people, uses powers against others, hangs out with Vlad and Miss Hell, all that stuff. Actually has a dark form and, when they showed off CAS, they showed a totally different name, aspiration, and traits.
So in my main story, I've decided he's Caleb and Lilith's ancestor, and gave him a slightly different look (the longer hair) to differentiate him. He starts out as your pretty standard, traditional vampire - he's pretty old (nearing two hundred), seduces people to drink from them, sees vampires and humans as an Us vs Them kind of dynamic. He's pretty A-OK with more... morally dubious (read: Evil) vampires like Vlad and Miss Hell, including having a casually flirtatious relationship with Miss Hell as well. Meeting Lilith, his great-great-granddaughter, is a pretty big moment for him!

1. Let me introduce another character I made--Vlad. He's Manuel's orphaned nephew living with his grandpa (Manuel's father). Vlad became Malcolm's bestfriend, and they hung out in a night club.
3. Garrett and Dina are happy together (for now). And Dina's pregnant!
4. Mitchell continued his relationship with Amy despite being married to his sugar mommy. They got caught, and Mitchell's sugar mommy divorced him and died from cardiac explosion! It took a handful of angry moodlets
Fun fact: I discovered that Marisol Flex is still getting royalties for the vlog she posted as a child, in a different save, informing the world of her father Don Lothario´s untimely and suspicious death. To be fair, the vlog was a hit and made her famous overnight, but one would have expected the world to have moved on after 15+ years. Apparently not, Don´s legacy lives on

I've seen a few comments here about the other "What Happened in Your Game" thread and how people are feeling intimidated by everything going on in this thread and being scared to post. So I'd like to share a bit of my own thoughts if that's ok
So I'm an incredibly shy and socially awkward person. I reread everything I write at least twice. As soon as I post something I get the instant urge to delete it. I'm always scared that people will react negatively or even worse - not react at all.
When I first came here on the page 348, I felt like a little clumsy outsider trying to hang out with the cool kids. I spent far more time on my post then I should've and considered at least ten times whether I should upload it or not. I got two responses (Becka28 and AlwaysAsking - the people that still make me jump around the house excited every time I get a notification from them
Nearly a year has passed and I'm still worried whenever I post anything. I barely catch up with everyone's posts and feel guilty for only leaving awesome's on them and not commenting. But the people here are seriously incredible and no one has ever been mean to me, not even when I said something stupid (and I bet I did that a lot

"I'm not siding with him!" Tony desperately said, almost jumping forward when he saw Steve move in Nick's direction. "I know you, Steve! And I know you're not a killer! I know you'll regret it, I know you'll hate yourself... You're not yourself right now, okay? Please just... just go. He's not worth it!"
"Well someone has to do it, Tony... Someone has to..." Steve quietly said. His voice sounded almost normal. Almost soft. He looked at Tony with uncertainty. Tony exhaled.
"And it won't be you," he said with a gentle smile. "It's okay, Steve. Just... just let go."
"That's right, let go, Stevie," Nick muttered. "Wouldn't be able to take me down anyway. You're weak."
"Nick don't-"
"Don't what? My, my, Tony, you're actually scared your little Stevie might become a killer!" Nick grinned. "Don't be stupid, look at him! Could he even hurt a fly? Always was Tony Stark's little harmless puppy... always will be..."
"Aren't I right, Stevie-boy? Who's a good little puppy? Who's a good little puppy?"
"Nick stop-"
"Oh, let me have my fun, he won't be able to do anything anyway, or that Theo of yours... All they can do is growl... Two of them against four of us..."

Tony stared at Steve.

The toddlers hurried across the bridge. They could already hear shouting from the distance.

All of the islanders yelled at Steve to stop but no one dared go near him - not even Tony. No one except Thor.
"Steve stop, you've beaten him enough."
"NO! I said I'll finish him and I will!!"
"STEVE!" roared Thor. "ENOUGH!"
"He deserves to die!" hissed Steve. "You know he does, you were supposed to help me!"
"And I will, which is why I'm telling you to STOP! Because Tony's right - you're not yourself, Steve, you're not a killer, you won't be able to cope with that and Nick took enough lives already!!"
"I'll finish it," he grabbed half-conscious Nick by the throat.
"Thor don't! Please, Thor, I can't lose you either! Thor! Theo, please... Stop it, all of you just stop, just stop-"
"Stooooooop!" suddenly screamed a choir of high-pitched children voices. The toddlers finally made it.
"Stop hurting each other, please!"
And everyone stopped.
There was a moment of silence as the youngest generation of Sulani stared at the grownups.

No update from me. I've thought of a name theme I can give Caroline and Peter's kids... Greek mythology-inspired names, like Athena, Artemis, that kind of thing. There are more girl names that I like the idea of than boy names, I feel it'd be a bit much to name a baby "Adonis" for example. Apollo could be quite cute, though.

I know right??? She initiated this relationship and I’m happy where it has gone! And you’re right! Mckenna has not been this happy since she was skating around on ice as a little kid. I think she is re-finding what happiness means and especially what it means for herself. This makes me all emotional too~ Mckenna’s been through a lot and she really has grown, they all have, but Kenna had such a rocky start in more ways than one.

I knowwww I am shipping hard too and Mckenna is all bawling on the inside, you've got it, she has trouble showing a lot on the outside. But this is steps the start in her letting her guard down.
Matty very much likes Mckenna and so does Kenna, she is just a bit unflirty, so I take that as she is terrified of love, she does not even know how it got this way. I was actually playing my Adlers and I came back to Mckenna having a full green bar with Matty, so here we are.
There is no real defining moment, not yet, they just started hanging out and got super close! Oh you bet! I'll show you all the more, more, more, they will give me!

So now that Matty has a new job and Angel is working full time, Juliana was called in to be the babysitter for Rainbow as she did online school.

Juli and Max had talked about Rainbow and her fears and confusion.
Max was really overwhelmed in what to do? But Juli had calmed him down, assuring him things would be okay.
Max wanted to know how, not reading anything like this in parenting books!
Lilith came in and told Max about her and Juliana's plan if things could not be sorted out naturally.
After lots of hugs and kisses goodbye.
They were left alone.
'Daddy said show her my room, so I will but I'm not looking at her! Or talking! Nope, nope, nope!'
Rainbow was true to her thoughts and no matter what questions or compliments that made her wanna spin around and explain more or engage, nope! Lili might have explained how she was not a spellcaster but still!!! She was trying to take away her daddy!
Rainbow stuck to her school work and would not ask or admit she needed help.
Even the really awesome peanut butter and jelly sandwich did not sway her even if it was super yummy.
This went on for that day and the next, by Wednesday, the two woman approached each other.
"So, the plan?" Lilith ask seeming a tad concerned, "she's been really clinging lately towards Max but other then that nothing else has changed."
"Yeah, I can see her wanting so badly to engage, talk with me, but I think she is still a little skittish or uneasy of me, she is not really rude and no pranks."
"Don't worry, this should work and if it does not even a little, then we worry, but not before."

'But she can't cast spells n' Lili, she keeps saving its safe, so what is going on here?'
Lilith looks over as Rainbow builds being oddly quiet and to herself.
'Okay time to get the ball rolling, let's hope this works!'
Lilith and Julianna started casually but happily chatting, they talked about the weather, how Lilith was doing, how Juli was doing, how much they liked Mckenna, Max and of course Rainbow.
And it started to work, even if Rainbow still did not really look at Julianna, she started to say things and ask questions "through" Lilith since she trusted her so much.
Lilith thought so, and this had nothing to do with Rainbow not trusting Max but due their sisterly friendship (Lili is her aunt though) and Lili's ability to get to Rainbows level with no issues, thought it was best she'd try to do this plan,
Max trusted her with that.
And it was working!
'Hmmm maybe she is not so bad after all, maybe, but what about daddy and her and me?'
Rainbow had been trying so hard to avoid and not listen to Juli this was the first time she was hearing her and Lili seemed so calm around her, it made her calm too.
Rainbow went off to play one of her favorite games, pirates argh!
With a bit of urging from Lilith, Juliana went over to play with her.
'A sea monster huh? Better than an evil spell-caster an improvement, heh'
More Cute Bonding Under Spoilers
Rainbow started to giggle as she aimed the cannons at the sea monster.
'That was funny and her hair does make her look like one, cool!' Rainbow could not help a smile.
"Not-uh you are going down!"
Juliana giggled making all types of sea monster noises.
'That was a smile! The first smile she has given in my direction! If I can keep getting those she can shoot bubbles at me all day.'
'Maybe if she feels like she "won" in a sense she might feel less threatened' Julia thought.
"Ooooh nooo you got meee!"
She did some good acting "going down"
"Argh! We did it!"
She and the other boy celebrated and Rainbow hopped down, taking a step towards Juliana.
"Hey um, you got magic to get up?"
"Nope, but I know a way." Juliana was glad to see some interest,
"What way? Is it a secret?"
"It is... .but I'd be happy to share it with you, wanna know?"
"Yeah!" Rainbow nodded eagerly and moved around impatient
"Okay I'll use the last of my sea monster powers to go to the secret way, follow me!"
She moved to crawl along the floor and to her amusement, Rainbow giggled and followed in the same manner.
"We have to blow the these bubbles and it will change me back to regular old Juliana." she continued in a weak sea monster tone. "Do you think you wanna do that?"
"Uh-huh! I blow good bubbles, I think."
"I bet your bubbles will be just the thing to help me."
Lilith was not far off from them, watching but letting them play.
They all regroup back to the build blocks to finish their build, there is a much better atmosphere in the air compared when they first got there!
Aww this is wholesome, it is still a start but I am really happy!
The Rest Of The Day
She laughed and so did Rainbow,
"Um, uh-huh, are you a spell-caster?"
"Nope, just regular old Juli, I promise."
"Hmmm okay not even a mermaid?"
"Nope but I love the beach!"
"Me too! Um what about a robot?"
Nah, then I could not swim in the water huh?"
"Guess not, what about a fairy? Are you a fairy?"
"Heheh, I did a good job dressing as one on Spooky day huh? But I promise, I am a regular sim, believe me?"
A smile graced Rainbows lips,
Uh-huh, I believe you....but then..."
"What is it?" Juli asked gently, "I think you've been really confused about something can you say what?"
"Yeah, Rainbow let's see if we can figure it out." Lilith encouraged.
"Um what is happening with you n' daddy?"
"He acts funny and I don't want him to go away."
'Hazel's daddy acts funny and goes away'
The two of them worked on explaining about what romantic love was and how it different from familial love but also how it was not stronger, and how the heart had room for equal love even if different types.
And also how Max would never, ever go away from her.
Once home and close to bedtime, Lilith read Rainbow a kid friendly book on this topic and it helped cement things a bit more for her.
BUT nothing helped more than Max's own words and reassurance.
"So you see Angel? You brought me so much with just being alive, lots of hope, wanting to do better, be better, you'll always be my Rainbow, my hope, my Angel and even if I really like Juli even love her, you'll always be my first angel, nothing can take that away nothing, you understand? Nothing in the whole world or universe or beyond."
"I understand daddy, that makes me feel a zillion times better, I was scared."
"I know baby but whenever you are, no matter what, come talk to me okay? That is why I am here, I will always listen to you no matter what. Okay?"
"Okay! So daddy? Do you like-like-like Juli?"
"I think I do, is that okay with you?"
"Maybe.... she is nice to me."
"I'm glad, if she ever is not, I won't just believe her okay? I'll listen to you. I promised."
'I had a mom that never listened, I won't be that way towards you Rainbow.'
"Okay daddy, you never break a promise and you are always fair."
'Why was I so scared seems silly now'
"I love you so much daddy more then all the rainbows and stars and moon and sun and all the pretty things!!"
'I wish Hazel's daddy would stop acting funny. I know! I'll have to tell her about this and maybe she'll ask her daddy and then he'll be like this because that is what daddy's do!'
"Heh, all that huh? Well guess what?" Max grinned.
"What?"
"I STILL love you even more."
"Aww no fair!" but she giggled snuggling close.
"And Rainbow?"
"Yes daddy?"
"No more trash gifts okay?"
"Oh yeah.... no more doing that."
"Promise? You'll come to me or your aunties if you feel confused or scared?"
"Promise my whole heart, pinkie swear!"
"Okay, good, that's my girl."
"Okay so guess what Bunnybow we got Juli all wrong and she is nice, so here is the new plan."
"She is not gonna steal daddy but we gotta watch her to make sure she like-like-likes daddy and they love each other."
"Lili is gonna help and so is Auntie Kenna!"
"Good night Bunnybow, I feel all better and am even more happy~"
