So 3 packs having Eco Living elements wasn't enough aye?

I'm not saying you shouldn't critisize this pack. I just don't see how it's different from other DLCs, and I feel you just don't like the idea of "paying for consequences", which is of course okay. But it isn't necessarily a bad thing? It's an additional way to play the game too. Some people love challenges and difficulties.
Edit: we just have a different view on what this pack has to offer. For me it's consecquences and difficulty itself, and for you it's a process of getting rid of these consequences, which you find tedious, maybe?
Literally the only pack I didn't get for Sims 3. Sims 4 so far has two, My First Pet and Moschino.
But in the scenario presented in the trailer, Evergreen Harbor was a company town whose company has shut down. It's the people living in the town that come together to reclaim their town and collectively decide how they want to improve. It's the opposite of gentrification - it's socialism.
But TheSims.Com is the last place I want to get into politics, however tempting it is, so I've said my peace on that. If the pack came with a poor neighborhood, a brand deal with Subway and a landlord career, that'd be more of a gentrification pack to me.
Dude Moschino is pretty good, don't sleep on it. Ignore the brand, the gameplay content of that SP is good.
I agree the game play was good
If they'll ever put stuff packs on sale again I may consider it.
The Sims 4 hasn't introduced a new musical instrument since 2017

TL;DR: They should have split the marketing into two "panels:" sims chilling with solar panels and vertical gardens, and sims fighting over scraps next to a dumpster. Utopia vs Dystopia, no ulterior motive.
I know it's most likely too late to change any marketing, but I do think it would be good to address this misconception @SimGuruGeorge - maybe in the livestream and future renders.

Until they actually live on a completely vacant lot as in the base so many tried to do. And see that Sim is just as happy without anything on the lot compared to the Sim who lives in a fully loaded mansion. Sleeping on a bench across the street and or eating left over food someone cooked at one of the common pic nic areas was just as good as eating steak and lobster in a fancy restaurant in TS4....it won't matter that much sadly because the core is still a huge slap on my intellegence.
I can make up and take pictures all day long to tell a story. How about that Sim is as miserable as TS2 Sims living on a completely vacant lot? People expect consequences to the Sims. You won't dare leave the pc for a moment if you left a Sim on a vacant lot in TS2. The core remains the problem no matter how much fluff they add so someone can make up a story and snap some posed pictures to make believe that Sim was miserable and dying when in TS2 they actually will. And let me add tense isn't going to cut it anymore.
What happens to Sims who never clean up the 'world' or common area? Will they die of pollution? Or get sick and have to go to hospital? And or have higer bills to help clean it up. Or pay taxes to clean it up? and or have to avoid an area? Or will the water be bad because of a polluted area? will the sky turn black? Will smoke and smog fill the air? like in LA? Or is it just more tense moodlets and FX.
Edit to Add: I feel like this should have been that survey pack about a dystopia world and it's effects but they cut out the good stuff and turned it into eco livestyle. I think that pack would have sold like hotcakes.
But it's funny any negative reaction gets shut down by those who have already decided to get it after they also saw no more than 1.30 trailer. lol It's the irony I find here so amusing.
