(Hummm) You've got fire up and down your cheeks
(Hummm) You burn everything you see (hummm)
(Hummm) Gold are your fingers
(Hummm) Leaving traces everywhere you go
Bring the lion out
Bring the, bring the lion out
Bring the lion out
Bring the, bring the lion out

Nice! Loving everyone's entries. Still waiting on one more judge, may need to get a guest judge. I'll give them one more day before I go looking. Also, Willmal13 has an extension!
Congratulations to the winner and placers, I loved the creativity of everyone's entry this round. Thanks for my scores and comments, judges. Haha, the dark was actually a dark room and it's a window behind him. I should have lightened the room a bit or added some light beams.
"You're like an imprint...
...(Hummm) Leaving traces everywhere you go...
...Bring the lion out
Bring the, bring the lion out..."
My interpretation: Bringing out and letting go of your inner demons so that you can start something new and move on. And thinking about the movie, Constantine, and how he used a mirror to capture a demon. I put the two together to show her releasing her inner demon (literally).
Ugh, sorry everyone. I was busy the entire weekend (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday are my "weekends") and then just didn't have a chance to catch up these last 2 days. =_= As soon as I get my desk up I should be able to have more time in my day. Right now I spend half of it watching the baby and getting nothing done. Moving my computer to this new desk allows me to watch him and work at the same time.
Anyways, thank you for your patience. Results for A9 are now up! A10 has been posted and you have until January 2nd to submit since it is the holidays. Remember to answer the optional question and do it correctly for an extra ticket for the raffle! @MyFavoritedesign@Melusine377@Spudders_86@abelhinha35
Congratulations to the winner and placers. Well done everyone, it was not an easy round and everyone did extremely well. Thanks judges for my scores and comments Good luck everyone in the final round.
You taught me the courage of stars before you left.
How light carries on endlessly, even after death.
It's the end of the road for our lovely Lillian.
It has been an emotional ride of fire and ice, of love and hate.
She can now rest in peace up in the stars
You taught me the courage of stars before you left.
How light carries on endlessly, even after death.
With shortness of breath, you explained the infinite.
How rare and beautiful it is to even exist.
.....................
Beloved wife and the best mom will always be in their hearts.
I’d give anything to hear
You say it one more time,
That the universe was made
Just to be seen by my eyes.
I send a light towards the stars to guide you on your journey.
You taught me to be brave, to be strong to grow.
Through battles and triumphs you were my rock.
But now, despite the heartache, I must let you go.
You taught me the courage of stars before you left.
How light carries on endlessly, even after death.
With shortness of breath, you explained the infinite.
How rare and beautiful it is to even exist.
"You taught me the courage of stars before you left
How light carries on endlessly even after death.
...With shortness of breath, I'll explain the infinite
How rare and beautiful it truly is that we exist."
My interpretation to what the artist said the song is about, "It’s very much a song about losing someone close and deeply loved, but it’s about the good they left behind in our lives and how to reflect that in your relationships in front of you."
About the edit: The father watches on as his daughter plays with her daughter the same way he used to do with her her. You never know how important something or someone is until its/their gone.
Bonus question: Looking back at my previous edits, I wish I could go back and do them differently. Because I now realize there are more ways than one to interpret a song. There's the literal way (exactly what the song says) and what the artist thought of when writing the song. And being a part of this competition not only got to practice my editing skills but it got me thinking about each song and how to turn it into a story
Have all the scores! I'm just starting to come off of my modding break so I'm trying to get things going again. I'll be trying to put together scores and everything else today. Thank you again guys for being so patient!
I will be running a poll for my next comp, but honestly I'm thinking of winging it for once and doing the comp that I want instead, which is The Selection (I'm thinking of changing the name to "The Princess Selection" to make it more obvious about what it is). I've wanted to run the comp since I outlined it, I'm just worried about numbers though as I'd like a decent amount of people (at least 10). If not that....maybe the hair drawing competition? Honestly, I'm not sure. I'll have to see. I am definitely not doing so many judges again though. I tried listening to the opinion some had that more judges = more fairness but even after this trial run and witnessing The Fairest of Them All comp and every other comp that used so many judges, the scores still usually swing in the same direction. So I will keep total judges to 5 or less, preferably 4 (including me).

Gold are you fingers
Leaving traces everywhere you go
Diamonds in your skin, my blood flows
Bring the lion out
Eyes cold, freeze my blood
Somehow, somehow not enough
Bring the lion out
Bring the, bring the lion out

She is a Lion - spring and heat, and he is cold December. Her love and passion will melt him.
