Ever since I've gotten DU, like A BUNCH of random sims just come up and start talking to me, like...all THE TIME...even when I am busy doing things during my day (studying , homework, writing term papers), a sim randomly comes up to me and starts talking to me, then heaven forbid if the dorm has a party over, the whole party comes to my sim and starts a group conversation...
LIKE leave me alone, my sim is a loner already , she don't want more people to bug her.

Well they need to tone it down, I don't like random sims coming to talk to me unless I told them too
i'm getting this all the time when trying to paint murals in san myshuno art gallery. they constantly come up to my sims and keep bothering my sim. even after trying to cancel the order before it is confirmed in the gray bar, it doesn't make any difference, the game forces the conversation on you until it happens and you have to manually drop the conversation the moment it starts.
if i wanted to chat to other sims, i'd do it on my own dime, and not when the game wants it. it also happens when my sim is working out at a gym or in a library, and the latter is more likely to happen.
This is the issue the devs face, you hate it, someone loves it. What to do? Not everything in the game can be optional.
However, I hate when sims butt their way into group conversations, you can't tell them to buzz off unless you introduce yourself first and then say goodbye. I should be able to right click their face on the top UI and boot them out of the conversation, but I can't.
That's the thing they even come to the people I AM talking to and it's really annoying...
Only when my Sim is out somewhere have I noticed an increase in the chatter. My Sim was at the local bar one night and had close to ten others who were trying to talk to him at once.
LOL That's cause I am one xD

...ummm I am in the dorms living my sim's life?
It's not a public place, it's the dorm rooms.
You can lock the doors.

Yeah no..I much rather try and live my dorm life without being chatted up by everyone .

It does make it difficult to study, but I actually like the fact sims are more sociable now. If you really want isolation try moving to Strangerville. You will rarely get visitors.
