Im having trouble finding a description of the point system and badge list. I feel like I saw this once and planned to check it out later, but I cant find it anywhere now. I found a link using keyword search, but it seems to be defunct and I get a permissions error. If anyone has a current link, Id super-appreciate a repost!

Yeesh. I've seen some locked down/participation required forums before over my years, but this one takes the gold.
@Vemiia, The requirements have changed from 50 points to 25 points and 30 posts to 15 posts to make it easier for new members to become full members...
I’ve been reading this form for 10 years and even have the 10 year badge. I wish I had started to participate instead of just read along time ago. But hey! I’ll get there eventually

Hello @shokorose
You have the required posts and points.
Try logging out of the site then logging back in again and see if that shows you as a full member
Hello @Simmer_Poet13 Welcome to the forums!
New members are unable to start new threads until they become full members. You need to have 25points and 15 posts before you can become a full member and can then have an Avi picture, post pictures, have a signature, start new threads, edit posts , post links that show up correctly and have quotes appear in grey boxes . This thread explains about it. http://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/934205/small-change-for-new-members#latest

yeah but I'm actually having a social phobia ... so I usually I don't know what to say
I'm also confused about how the points work. I've been a member for years, but not actively engaging... it doesn't feel right replying or commenting something useless or small talk-ish just to up my number of posts - I prefer to engage only when I actually have something useful to say.
I have a few badges, but still unclear about how to become an actual "member."

This makes sense to me 100%!! It seems silly that there's a minimum number of posts you must make before getting to have an avatar or post links, etc... this almost forces people to comment when they have nothing to say in order to get their rank up. I understand your social phobia, @GacktSama! Don't stress too much; it's only the internet. ☺️
