Looking Forward To the End Of TS4

A lot of people do not understand how that stuff works. The developers chose to make this game super kid-friendly, it wasn’t like the ESRB was twisting their arms about it. They could get away with a lot of things without jeopardizing the T rating.

Too easy, boring, not playable, no chemistry, no consequences etc.
This game should be kids friendly? No, this game is toxic - fast romances and zero consequences. Good example for children, really.

I'm okay with keeping the next game kinda kid friendly, though with the above 'mature' humourous references like the hamper, juice kegger parties etc, and some better romance interactions for teens, like in the sims 2, but nothing to push the rating too much. I enjoyed the witcher games (imo though, some of 'those scenes' were mature in ratings, but immature in other ways), but that's definitely not the kind of mature I want in ts5 or 4.
That said, totally agree with people wanting consequences in both S5 and S4. It makes for very boring gameplay when there is very little tension. Just yesterday my sim's enemy rang/texted and asked to get together for 'make-up drinks' or something to improve their relationship. I'm fairly sure one of the enemy's traits was evil, so it was really weird. I mean, I don't want super violence or anything, but at least in S5, please have enemies act like enemies, eg. call to confirm/spread nasty messages/rumours and do some trash talking in public. I love it when games let me be petty, b.c I'm a bit petty in real life (not that this is a good thing 😅).
nothing is wrong with how the sims4 is made and i went the sims5 to be like the sims4 as a player i do not went the sims5 to be like sims2 or sims3 i went it to be totaly diffrent not all players of the sims game are the same

I think what gives them a profit is the expansions.
It’s T for teen not T for toddlers.
Yes it is the EPs, You can give the base game for free but if you want more in your game you must get the DLC.
I guess they need to squeeze out more money, because it's just announced over on SimCommunity site there will be another EP this year besides the promised GP of Realm of Magic. Isn't that three this year? And a GP? Was GF (EP aka GP) this year, too?
Seems like they can churn out even more packs now, since they figured out they can get away with unloading GPs as EPs. (My opinion). Sigh, since I own some of TS4 I should be excited, but I'm not. It's more like hurry up and get this over with, because no, I won't buy GPs at EP prices, to get a one Sim canoe, and a one Sim jetski, and a one Sim activity that in the past has always been group (more than one). I won't pay for subpar content like that even if I do like the animations of an object.
Well, let's hope they're pushing lots of stuff out the door so they can end this series sooner.
What 🐸🐸🐸🐸 me off, as well few other people I talked to, when one of the developers use said argument why they aren't willing (from implication) to create casinos/gambling of some sorts in the game. Like hell, said developers also pull other two weak arguments, one of which is absurd and the other speaks for the player that clearly is incorrect or pretending to be oblivious to own's misinformation. I guess renaming the activity just like drinking bar's juice (which for some reason exists despite others resentment due to the rating) wasn't in their heads. Though the term was never dysphemish and I don't think the term "gambling" still poses rating threat.
There is a reason they drop using the "You rule!" slogan, as it was the opposite thing how the game represented itself. Nobody but the devs rule and what we say we want they disagree that "but you dont want x/y in the game". It's a vicious cycle I tell you.
The best part is that gambling was in The Sims 2. You had poker tables where Sims could play, win and lose money. Several lots downtown, like Lucky Shack Cards and Drink, were dedicated to it. It was a great group activity and the animations were satisfying.
There is some evidence that TS5, or a future Sims project, is now in development, and has been for awhile. These devs can play with Microsoft Paint and colors all they'd like as we wait for a real Sims game, as far as I'm concerned.
And in TS3 with Lucky Palms premium content/venue (poker, slot machines and even a dedicated gambling skill). Heck, it may even dates back in TS1 era where multiplayer was a thing, as FreeSO seem to offer casino objects.
Oh yikes! I work in design, and while I quite like the brightly coloured base game cover (not too happy about the YA sims only message it appears to be sending though), the designs for all the DLC packs look very, very dated (hello 80's). I also preferred the original plumbob logo; it's nice, simple, and matches in with the overall cartoony game design.
One way to test whether a logo is good or not, is to see how it looks using only black, white, or greyscale (an important test if you're designing for a charity, or someplace that might not have access to the best printers). The original logo works okay (see here) but I'm not sure how well the newer 3D look will translate.
I generally love bright colours, and think the Sims, with their (more in previous games lol) vibrant personalities should have bright, fun and colourful marketing, just... not like this. Although it's bright, the colours don't match well, and the GPs and EPs look too similar in colour (can esp. see difficulty for people with visual conditions). Hopefully they don't continue this kind of bright across to S5 lol, but do keep the personalities from 1,2 and 3.
But now the people, who don’t have most of the packs will be more upset: „uhuhuhu, look at these gray marks! Buy me instantly!”.
