@meerkattime It was painfully hot! Fortunately we have a few cooler days until it starts again.
I have always loved Jensen's eyes. They are perhaps the best eyes I have ever made and took forever to get right but well worth the hand cramps
I woke Jason up to catch another will-o-wisp
Josh was craving spaghetti so that's what the family had for breakfast
Josh was trying to use the gyroscopic conductor but Jason had other ideas
Paul and Ian went on a field trip to the Theatre.
I followed them and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw them get out of the bus and into taxis
Josh got his notice
They had been playing catch and I saw from Jason's thumbnail that he was sending someone a friendly text while Josh was spinning into his pregnancy outfit I missed it but you can still see the text effects.
Josh announced the pregnancy
Jason followed up by boasting about his athleticism
I got sick of watching the boys playing catch between flirts so I had them work on their fishing wishes.
Paul rolled a wish to visit the park so I sent him with Ian. When I checked on them they were flirting and Paul had a wish to chat with Ian.
I intervened because once they boys are in flirt mode there is no way they would slow down to chat
Jason got his wish to "catch every type of fish" with this sea sludge
Josh woke up craving cookies
Jason rolled a wish to buy a costume chest which triggered a wish to get dressed up
Josh rolled a wish to spend §400 at the Day Spa so I sent him for a deep tissue massage.
Jason rolled a wish to find a rock. I saw some on the beach below their house. I sent Josh with him in case they wanted to swim.
Jason wanted to play catch instead but, for some reason, they headed up the hill to do it. When I saw poor Josh trailing behind, I cancelled the action and teleported him home.
I found three gnome markers on the lot. I couldn't move them to inventory to sell them so used Debug Enabler to move them to family inventory and sold them from there. Not sure where they are from because my sims have never had any gnomes.
Jason is a very attentive husband
Ian and Paul watched the stars after dinner
When I saw Josie heading for the guitar I had her pull out her violin instead
Jason wanted to skinny dip so I had Josh join him
I've enjoyed your sims - and had a need to go and see if I have my Epic Spawners mod in my game and I do so all is well there.
I have found sea sludge in inventories but don't think I've ever seen a sim actually catch one. Scary.
I got inspired with your new hair colours. I usually don't get very creative with that and now, although I don't need any new sims and don't even have the game open I suddenly want to start trying to make a strawberry blonde. Then I'd have to use it on a new sim for my game and she/he would have to have babies so I could see if it carried through the generations and then I'm totally off on a really time wasting tangent - again.
I love the pic of the little blue girl in her blue princess dress.
Did you try different ways to save your old game? Like using save cleaner, or using Porter mod to pack all the sims and ghosts and other family members and put them into a fresh version of the world with their original home lot placed in it? Just wondered. If you still have the save you might decide you want to try it one day. If not then it doesn't matter. I did all that sort of thing when I was trying to continue my game that has evolved into my Big Game. But I was motivated to make it happen.
Now I better get back to what I should be doing instead of reading forums. But I enjoyed you thread.
@Karritz Thanks for stopping by and for the lovely comments
I have packed up whole towns with Porter and started fresh saves but it's more work than I am willing to do at the moment. I won't just pack the main household, their ghosts and relatives, though because I am a completionist where family trees are concerned and my sims are related to almost every one in town in some way.
Hair colours is something new for me. I do colour each new sim's hair when I make them but I never bothered with saving them, except on occasion when I knew I would need them again. I thought it would be handy to have a bunch of colours for future use when populating towns.
I have been using this site for inspiration for my hair colours.
Because Josie learned the fishing skill at Scouts the previous day she woke wishing to fish
I found Jason and Josh flirting when they were done gardening but it didn't last long
Josie went on a field trip to the Bistro. The boy in the front seat was dressed rather unfortunately because I am not giving townies birthday makeovers
I went back to the house and sent Josh inside to give birth and let Jason work on his wish to master the fishing skill. He is currently half way through level 9.
Welcome Jaxon (Athletic, Friendly)
Jason came inside for his pre-age-up snuggle
Jaxon is mostly Josh but I am pretty sure that's Jason's mouth. He is a genie like his sister
I saw the boys had splinters and found them by the treehouse
Because the boys had Art Class they got home just after Josie and they did their homework together.
Jason had a wish to put Jaxon on a spring rider so I bought one for the family and sent Jaxon out to Jason.
Josh took advantage of Jason being busy with Jaxon to start getting his body back into shape after the pregnancy
Ian rolled a wish to take a photo with a friend when Jaxon was born.
Josie came home from school wish a wish to play in the treehouse
Jason rolled a wish to use the stroller
He seemed to be having a little difficulty when they were coming home
I had Jason summon Josie's favourite meal for dinner
Jason got started on Jaxon's potty training.

I think the most sims I've ever packed in one file is a little over 300. I tend to not like to leave anyone behind. And if I discover missing ghosts later on - well I just go back and get them and use Master Controller to add them to the appropriate family trees.
@Karritz The packing is not the problem. I just find putting everyone back where they should be tiresome. Anyhow, I do have all my old saves which I gave up on because of lag so I can always change my mind if I want to revisit them

I know what you mean. I made a spreadsheet to help with the process but it is still annoying. I also save their houses to the library so they g et to keep their stuff and all progress made to the lots.
@meerkattime When I first read your 39C comment I thought you were talking about bra size! I'd forgotten that @Mikezumi mentioned the weather. And since I'm in the states, I'm used to Fahrenheit. It takes me a minute for my brain to register Celsius temperature readings. I actually had to look it up. 39C=102.2F That really is hot!
@Mikezumi I like what you did with Jensen's eyelids. ...Awesome will-o-wisp screenshots. ...LOL at the car crash-up pic. ...Nice shots of Josh announcing his pregnancy to Jason. ...Good heavens! That sea sludge. I don't think I've ever seen a sim catch one! Super cool. ...It really is painful to see pregnant sims walk some times. I've had one sim climb a mountain to get somewhere. It took her forever. ...Welcome to the world, Jaxon! Great name. And I like his combo of traits too. Wow! Another genie. That's awesome. I think he's going to be another handsome guy! ...Fun seeing the teens still getting along. ...Love the shot of Josie in the tree house. ...Jason strolling with Jaxon with his arms backwards. Too funny! ...Great family photos. The household really is growing quickly now.
@lanlyn Thanks for the lovely comments Fortunately I can think in both Fahrenheit and Celsius because Australia still used F when I was a child and living in the States for 15 years meant that I had no choice but to refresh my memory. I still think in a mixture of metric and Imperial in other measurements too. LOL at the bra size comment
After two and a half days of solid Supernatural episodes I couldn't not open my game when I was able and work on Jensen's eyes again
I don't like the look of sea sludges and would never allow my sims to eat them. They are excellent for fertilizer and easy to catch so good for wishes to catch every type of fish.
I got excited when I saw that Jaxon was blue and a genie as well
The teens get along because they only have each other
I missed Josh getting Jaxon up and ready for the day while getting everyone to make their beds. I don't need to direct Jason because he is a Perfectionist and makes his bed autonomously.
Because Josie was the first one ready, I had her summon crepes for breakfast
Josie played on the spring rider until the school bus came
The teens fished while waiting for the bus.
Josh and Jason are getting close to mastering the gardening skill
Jason took the first walk with Jaxon
Jason got started on teaching Jaxon to walk when they got home
I released Josh from fishing when he had fulfilled a couple of wishes. He headed straight for the gyroscopic conductor
Jason took a break from walking lessons when Jaxon needed to go potty
Josh got his walk with Jaxon. He got to the other side of the road and couldn't take the stroller any further because the path starts after a slight incline. I pointed them in the opposite direction and they managed a proper stroll.
Josh rolled a wish to put Jaxon on the spring rider
Jaxon didn't want to get off
I found the teens filling their fun bars after homework
Josie had a wish to play catch with Ian so I had Paul keep Jaxon company
Paul played with Jaxon before giving him his bottle
Josie came home from school with a wish to hang out with Jason so I had her join him at the TV while Josh finished off the walking lessons
Thanks @JoAnne65 I like my sims cooking but genies do come in handy, especially since my sims don't have very high cooking skill yet - I think the highest is 6 - and can't cook all the recipes.
My favourite spring rider animation is the one where the toddler refuses to get off
I noticed you have been posting your latest screenshots in GD but do you have a story thread somewhere for it?
I have a website where I tell their stories but that’s in Dutch And atm I sort of stopped doing that, because it takes so much time and I mainly want to play right now. I have been considering to start a picture topic here in the Creative section, maybe I’ll do that (right now they’re just sitting there, all those screenshots, neatly numbered in a folder on my computer lol)
@JoAnne65 Dutch would be problematic for me You should start a picture topic! I don't do stories and only add commentary to my screenshots but it's a wonderful way for me to look back later and remember families The good thing about it is that it takes very little time to do
