But this poll mentions couple dancing - so that would solve the issue of couples not facing each other if they added it. Couple dancing in past games was always something added through a pack. It was never base game as far as I recall.
As far as being fitness - well one only has to look at the fitness craze today - many fitness tapes is dancing movements and as someone who took dance for 14 years (age 2-16) believe me it keeps you fit, and builds muscles that stay with you for life.
But honestly I am not stuck in sand on this either - I would easily be open to any of the activities listed in the poll as any of them could be fun in game. So if the majority liked something better - I have no objection as I really like activities of all kinds for my sims and lots of people have some great ideas here.
