What was your first house in TS3?

After 9 years I still have it, the original house which was much extended growing out of Sunset Valley and then transported to my world a few years later. I don't think that I have ever shared it before but here it is, nearly a decade on and much different from when I first built it!

My sims primarily lived at premade houses near the launch and it wasn't until after couple generations I built my first house in TS3. I don't have any pictures, but it was trying to resemble a traditional Finnish summer cottage without electricity and other comforts. Oh, and it had an attic.
Afterwards it was the same but with the Americana 442 Skyborough Blvd instead in SV too,it just was fun turning a boring box into something cool just by changing the siding and designing the interior.
After all that came my first built homes which were intentionally just a boring small inexpensive box because starting that way is fun.Even to this day.The only difference is have to utilize that box but can build onto it unlike when I started.
I'm an old lady now. I can't remember what I did in 2009. I probably spent three days building something or renovating a SV house which would also take me days. That's my style... or, use to be. Now I try not to be so picky.
The house I remember playing some time in is the Pacer Place premade lot in Appaloosa Plains. I had a lot of fun expanding that place.

The next game, I started from scratch and plunked down a couple in the Monotone, in SV. That save was abandoned quickly, along with any desire to play with my simself, modified or otherwise. (Let's just say that repeatedly cursing out my ss made me aware of some things about myself that I'd rather keep buried.)
The third game was the first time I really followed through with a family. I set them down in Twinbrook, on the large empty lot in the rich neighborhood across the bridge from what passes for downtown. I don't have pics, but it was basically a box with some trees around it. And the sims that lived there were always unhappy about everything. The house was dirty, the laundry was everywhere, there wasn't enough space for everyone, etc. And it was Twinbrook, so the whole town was damp and gloomy. Fun times.

Because for playing, I just bought that prebuilt house with two bedrooms, the "Shotgun Starter" it was called. For the first house I built... it was literally just a shoebox, haha... wasn't that great at building houses as a kid
The Sims has always been an important part of my life, and may it continue to be so! Long live Sims!

lived their a few times and agree its too small. I did a makeover adding another floor but still felt small. great for a single/couple starter
I often extended into the backyard, after they had kids and change the floor plans (depending on how many bedrooms were needed). The front yard was often left as is (other than a vegetable garden added).
The very first custom house I had in Sims 3 was this very house here:

This family lasted a while- I found the sliders for Age! They had kids and it was going really well for quite a long time until I reformatted my harddrive after forgetting to back up their saved game files.
