Yesterday, the Sims 4 worked fine for me. Now, however, it doesn't. I click on Origin, click "Play now," on Sims 4, and just nothing at all. Sims 3 works fine, but Sims 4 doesn't. Idk why.
Hello @Lunia_Norisi
Try shutting down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then log into Origin and try to launch the game. Test to see if that helps.
Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair
Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin , and test to see if that helps.
Try turning off origin in-game and see if that helps. To do that, go to Game Library in Origin . Right click on The Sims 4 picture. Click on “Game Properties”. Then untick the box that enables origin in-game
Whenever I launch Sims 4 it opens to a black screen with the cursor being a blue loading circle. I cannot alt+tab or ctrl+alt+delete out of it and have to sign myself out and sign back in to close the game. I've updated my drivers, I've moved my Sims 4 documents folder (I did have mods but no cc) onto the desktop, I've tried running as admin, in compatibility mode, windowed, windowed fullscreen, and fullscreen. I've repaired it using origin and disabled origin in-game. Nothing has worked. If I run it in either windowed modes it stops responding instantly and closes. If I run it in fullscreen it stays a black screen indefinitely and cannot be closed without restarting/signing out. I played the game when pets was first released and it worked fine, just reinstalled it and added all stuff packs/eps and it won't load.

Do you have any CC or mods? If so, remove those.

Hello
Try shutting down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then log into Origin, and try to launch the game and see if that helps.
If the issue remains, try uninstalling and reinstalling origin and see if that helps.
If the issues still remain, could you please post your DxDiag info here.
To gather a DXDIAG on your computer, do this :
Press and hold the Windows key and the letter R on your keyboard
You will see a Run box in the lower-left corner of your screen
Type dxdiag in the text field
Click OK
Click the Save All Information button, found on the bottom of the DXDIAG report
After you have saved your dxdiag info on your computer, go to the pastebin site https://pastebin.com
and copy/paste the dxdiag info into the white box there. Press the button to create the new paste/pastebin text file.
Then post here in this thread the web address of your dxdiag info that is on the pastebin site. You will need to replace the http in the address with h.t.t.p as you are a new member and can’t post links.
I don't know how to describe it, but I can't open up Sims 4 no matter what I do. It just won't open. No one can help me unless they actually see what I'm talking about. So I guess I have to make a video about it and somehow upload it onto here. It's very annoying.

Your computer should be able to load/play the game.
Try going to Windows Update and make sure that your computer is patched uptodate.
Check that you have the latest version of cc cleaner installed , as there are some error messages relating to that program.

Hello @Lunia_Norisi
Perhaps you may be best to do a live chat with EA Help. The help advisors may be able to help you there https://help.ea.com/
If the issues still remains, I am wondering if perhaps there was something that went wrong with the files when you reinstalled the game. I am not sure if uninstalling and reinstalling the game again may perhaps help. It is a big download again though.
Origin is now running extremely slowly, and whenever I click on Sims 4 to play it, same as I do for the other Sims games, Origin closes with a the little blue loading circle, just like the others--so I think it's gonna play, because right about then is when the other games would load up. But nope. It just reopens. I click on Sims 4 again, Origin closes, does the waiting thing, then opens again, no Sims 4 at all. Sims 3 doesn't do this, nor does Sims Medieval.

If you have cc/mods in your game, move your whole mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issue is still there.
If the issue renains, try starting the game in windowed mode

All the things that I have posted are done before you load the game. You do these things before trying to load the game.
