I like surprises! I am pretty good at predicting things that are about to happen so surprises are always a nice change.
It depends on who the surprise is from. For example: I want to know what Grandma's giving me for Christmas unless someone has helped her pick it out, so I can act nice about it. But I don't want to know what mom's getting me, I'd rather be surprised.
My phone and my sister's decided not to talk to each other anymore so mom and I started looking for new phones tonight.

Insidious-y kind of surprise = Who doesn't? some people even love it so much that they dream about it XD
But I think it's mainly because of the thrills of discovery or the shock of knowing it. For example,
Nothing will test your heart condition better than a big zombie grizzly bear suddenly sneak behind you when you're browsing tumblr
An exception goes to No Man's Sky release date kind of surprises. That's just annoying.
