      Happy Birthday! kind of surprise = The effort some people put just to tell you that you're getting old are ridiculous.
      Insidious-y kind of surprise = Who doesn't? some people even love it so much that they dream about it XD

      But I think it's mainly because of the thrills of discovery or the shock of knowing it. For example,

      Nothing will test your heart condition better than a big zombie grizzly bear suddenly sneak behind you when you're browsing tumblr :tongue:

      An exception goes to No Man's Sky release date kind of surprises. That's just annoying.
