@Mmdrgntobldrgn Oh okay cool! I finished one actually but I'm not really sure if I'm allowed to post pictures, I honestly doubt it since I'm so new. How do I show my house otherwise? and I would actually love to try a few more.
Note these steps only work if you've shared to the public gallery.
One of the ways I grab pictures of builds is from the online gallery: click on the build then right click on the image, click "copy image location", and then either paste the url into the drop down above each comment box for pic's, or paste the url into the comment box and type the bb code.
you can try the drop down box and if it won't let you you can always paste the url into the comments and then put a space between the https and the rest of the addy like so >>> https:// athena.thesims.com/v1/images/1/0x00000df8/00121B1B-39D5-11E4-84BA-06FC0A821031/00.jpg (url is a pic of a ruthless_kk build)
Additionally if I know the ea id name that your builds show under in the gallery I'm willing to post a few pics for you until you reach member status and can post for yourself.
I dont understand why some people get to have a small house/house sharing thread in this part of the forum and it doesnt get moved .But when I have done it , it got moved to the "right" area. It's not fair. It's annoying. And most importantly Moderators should treat every one the same.
It's nice that they allowed this one to stay here though. Because I do like seeing starter homes.

Nice job guys...
Without having seen some of the other threads, it's hard to say.
I started this one close to 2 years ago, maybe we had different moderators, or maybe it's how I set the parameters for what kinds of lots to get shared.
I'll be honest to scroll through the gallery or the build section of the forums and see a lot priced at 30 - 60 simoleans labeled as a starter house does bug me just a little because unless you use the freerealestate or money cheat there's no way for a sim/sim family straight from cas to move into those homes.
I feel the same as BrownGamerGurl. 100% of the time when I make a post, it gets sent to other sections of the forums, where it might get one comment before it is lost forever. I am thrilled that this thread got to stay here, but it actually feels very hurtful when the mods send all mine away. It does feel like I've done something wrong, and they just want me to go away. I've simply given up sharing anything anymore, I didn't feel welcome at all.
Visit me in the gallery! CC-free builds under origin name Piperbird!
I posted these in affordable family housing, but it looks like they'll fit better here.
Five Bedroom Starter https://www.thesims.com/en_GB/gallery/84FAF3A23FEB11E780D88C7B1FBDCF4D
5 Bed, 2 Bath Lot size: 30 x 20 Gallery Price: §17,961 Cost with lot price: §19,961
There aren't skill items yet, but there are five beds, two completed bathrooms, a completed kitchen, and some other comfort items. It's not only affordable, it's starter-affordable, and has plenty of room to grow into a dream home. This was hard to do, but I love a challenge!
Both starters have enough room for at least one double bed and at least 7 single beds, though they might be a little cramped in the four bedroom. I had a hard time with my 7 toddler challenge before I made these... Several toddlers had beds in the back yard!
It has enough furnishings for a sim or a couple to be happy, and plenty of room to fill up as they earn simoleons. The back yard is big enough for play equipment or a pool, and even starting out, it's pretty!

It amazes me that most of these would be classed as starter homes. most of these in England would be classed as family homes with well paid parents in very good jobs. Most in England start off with smaller homes. then when they get a few promotions and a higher mortgage can afford something as grand.
most of these starter homes are for couples with an inheritance and really good jobs to be able to afford the upkeep. or older couples who have sold their previous home and have an inheritance to pay for such large homes.
My sims couldn't afford them, they start small and build on or move on as their family and finances grow. I have one couple in a one room. I'll post pics in a while.
Mine are starter homes based on what the game considers a starter, @feetinstockings . In real life, my first home was a small rental, as I did not have $20,000! These are priced as game starters. A Sim or family straight out of the bin could buy one, and afford the upkeep with any job.
I've made a family starter house called 'Fabulous Family Starter' (why not call it that?). My origin name is bunny9starry and I've shared it to the gallery.
I got Cats & Dogs for Christmas and tried my hand at a home veterinary clinic. I really wanted a Sim to be able to become a vet immediately, and though my result isn't luxurious, I play-tested it and it worked the way I'd hoped.
The home vet clinic is a project for you and your Sim! Place the clinic on a 20 x 30 lot, then settle your sim on an empty 20x30 lot. With the money your sim has left, you can purchase this clinic. It comes with an exam table, check-in podium, and medicine crafting table (great for increasing vet skill!), as well as a side entrance to a 3-bedroom home. The home has a full bathroom, refrigerator, counter, and bed. Not much, but enough to allow a workaholic Sim to work their own clinic without moving back and forth between the clinic and home lot.
Your Sim can be the vet at the clinic and sleep here as well. When I played, I had my Sim use the medicine crafting station to do lab work until she reached Level 1 Veterinarian skill. It didn't take long, and then I opened the clinic and started seeing patients. You can decorate and renovate as you earn Simoleans, and there is plenty of room for a surgery station. The fully upgraded version in my Gallery is §128,449. (It's here.)
The Starter is pretty bare. It has drywall and concrete floors, but it's easy to earn money, and there's no wait to becoming a vet.

Feel free to add me, and check out my gallery shenanigans.
It's spare on furnishings, but has two full bathrooms and enough space to want to stay instead of saving up to move. It took a lot of tinkering!
