@SPARKY1922 Oh, once they put the tomatoes they grew into the fridge they can use that as fresh food - which makes anything they make after have the sparkles, even cereal (tomato cereal )- if that's what you mean. Once that Fresh food count goes back to 0 it's no sparkles any more.
The challenge lasts until the last of her grandchildren dies. So, that might be a few generations. I'm taking lots of pictures.
I've only messed up 2 promotions. There's points for each child that is raised to teen... I'm also going by the rules on the original post. It was easier in the beginning, from what I've read. I'm just trying it the hardest way- Old maid; not moving in anyone. Lots of money to be made moving Sims in and then out. XD

My family had to move to a bigger apartment due to a new addition, and their neighbor likes to walk into their apartment to cook food and dance to classical music.
Thank you for your kind comments however I am just not satisfied with the farm area yet so I am going to remake it again when I have the time. I also love hoods that look full I think that comes from playing sims 3
You are braver than me messing around with shaders-) I do use neighbourhood and lot sky mods but I find pond and ocean mods difficult as one of my favourite water mods requires every lot have 2 1 tile swimming pool water squares so the ocean is a nice colour from the lot view but some of my lots are small and I cannot even fit one square on the property so I have had to take it out for now. I also love the look of those street lights in the pic above post but again it requires a mod for the shaders and it can affect any water mods so for now I am not going to tempt fate by trying it on the hood I am working on-)
I am pleased you managed to sort out your sims inactivity lol and Japanese heavy wood lots sounds wonderful, a person can only do so much at a time lol however I so want to get my hood finished and start actually playing that I am spending all my free time on it at the moment
For sims 3 I use Fresh cut day mod for sky/water from Burnt waffles which looks lovely in game but I am not sure how heavy it is on the PC.
@SPARKY1922 Skylights in the sims 3 doesn't take anything as ram , did you know I mixed 3 of them and the sky was magical ! The aurora colours by night changed each seconds, heavy rainy days were realistic with darker grey sky.
If you can do it test this you'll be omg !! and no my game didn't crash.
I just wanted to test shaders in the sims 2 but it wasn't a good idea . My sims became pink , they jumped instead of moving. U have my full game in high I never saw a weird stuffs. However I loved the gummod radiance light at modthesims2 the warm lightning makes a wonderful feeling and atmosphere but sadly when you place a wall items too much low, it becomes dark. Probably in my computer but I avoid to use it now.
I don't use it anymore. And sadly to me I have to delete shaders mods as the cheat didn't fix everybody but it fixed 98%.
My Japanese and my heavy wood houses are two different projects I want to remade playable and better.

I read story with only. it's the same in the sims 3 sections. It's not against you, but that's harder to have space for old games and to meet people who stuck with old sims. Everwhere it's the sims 4 . We want to keep this space ts4 free if possible.

Come visit Farm road fresh food market, have a coffee watch the horses, visit our outdoor activity centre where you can even be taught to fish (fishing is a free to all contestants engaged in the highly addictive sim reality TV show the poverty challenge) buy flowers for your loved one or purchase toys in our winter wonderland toy store whatever your choice there is something for every sim

Wow! That new farm area looks so awesome! Everything looks so lovely and detailed. The fields, the cows, all that little decoration and last but not least the houses... My Sims would totally like to go there for a holiday.
Oh, and I also like the short description you wrote, I am sure it attracts a lot of Sims.

@Rflong7 Does fresh food make all foods sparkly? I've never noticed that! Although come to think of it when I garden in game I mostly sell and don't eat it!

Trains/railroads, car ferry, bus station, buses and bus stops, fake roads and bridges, airport and planes all from Criquette at MTS however there is another dedicated blog to new stuff being made so I have included that as well
Plasticbox mts does made wonderful tiny community lots that can be fitted into tiny spaces, there is also 5-6 car park lots that look great in game. (these are all lots not deco) when looking for these start on the last page-)

Thanks I am finally satisfied-) yes, the food sparkles while you have fresh produce stocked in the fridge such as fruit/veg/fish and I love gardening and fishing in the game but just in case your sims are too lazy I put the following item in my food shops and they can buy the fresh produce and it makes sparkly food without any effort on their part
I love the way in 3 even sky/water mods just get plopped into the download folder with no real worries. I am not going to do much with shaders in 2 unless I try anything out in a new folder so it cannot ruin anything else I have going on but every time I look at how beautiful some things are in more techi players hoods I long to be able to have that effect in my own

After Peter died of starvation/exhaustion things have went downhill fast. Its only Friday, week one and I've lost three sims.

I do like my sim is standing in the background just going "Hurry up and take him Grim I want my shower!" No prizes who was first for getting one!.
As I said Peter died on the Wednesday, he basically slept in the bathroom since Monday, got up on the Wednesday and died. Thursday he scared Charmayne to death during the night in the bathroom and on Friday he did the same to Whitney in the bathroom.
The bathroom is starting to resemble a small grave yard.
My own sim got promoted once but I don't think there is going to be any sims left soon

I love all your cc you use in game! I use a little, mostly skin tones and hair and make up. I do have a few mods but I really should look into the cc you use for building as I do enjoy it, I'm just not very good at it! But I love looking at other people's creations.
The Asylum Challenge is a lot of fun. 8 sims and you can only control 1 sim. You can't click on the other sims or control them in any way. (Hence why when Peter passed out in front of the toilet I wasn't allowed to move him)
The goal is to reach your sims LTW, (my sim Vanessa's goal is to make General) Usually the biggest problem I have is fires but in this play through its a combination of exhaustion and hunger and a murdering Ghost killing them all off that's pulling my numbers down!

Ironically I normally don't like my sims dying either. My legacy sim died recently and I was super sad. (More sad than her son was but that's another story) and in my sims 3 legacy my founder is due to go shortly and I haven't played in a while because I can't bear it.
I like the Asylum Challenge because I love micro managing and not being able to step in and prevent disaster is a challenge for me.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's neighbourhoods. A Victorian neighbourhood sounds interesting @Sally1502

I do understand being sad when a grandpa/grandma sim from a big family dies, I was also sad when it last happened in one of my sims family. They really start to grow on me over time.
I wonder why the son of your legacy wasn't sad, did they not like each other? Big sims families with many generations are always so interesting and fun.

The vegetable stand you posted looks interesting, but I don't quite understand how it works. Can you select which vegetables you buy or does the sim just buy all?

This will be their second Winter. The first she only had 2 children and 2 little rooms. It was actually easier back then.
I'm only on week 5, and it's slowed because of so many Sims in the house. If only I didn't micromanage Sims.
