I would love to see a greater variety of aspirations and sim traits. We have received very few updates in these areas and I want some more diversity in the way my sims behave.
Traits like:
Loyal (won't cheat with another sim, even when feeling flirty)*****THE MOST IMPORTANT!
kids trait angelic or wild for adults (angelic/always content, kind, calm) (wild/more adventurous, wants to try everything)
Hates the Outdoors
Loves children ( wants to spend time with baby-child age often)
Traveler (wants to vacation, can't stay when they haven't left their home for a certain period of time)
I would also love to see Celebrity status returned. For those sims that ender the entertainment or comedian careers it would be great to have sims recognize them on the street or show up when they perform in town. I would love the addition of TS1 style celebrity gamepack. (Models, Singers, Actors- all jobs we could follow and participate in). We have the concept started already with Get To Work, so adding more jobs like that with the addition of notoriety would be an amazing addition.
1) Strollers for toddlers and cars, bicycles, roller skates.
2) Would be cool to have adventure park with attractions.
3) more careers such as dentist, make them have rotten teeth after chocolate cake and we like to own our own things, we could own hotel or pet store.
4) I would love to have some high heal shoes, I have some mods, but I only need it because they don't have very beautiful high heals.
5) They could have real celebrity careers like movie star and go act and give interviews, be a singer and make a lot of money out of concerts.
6) Burglars, bring them back please they were fun!
7) I loved when teens ran away from home and police caught them and brought them back it was so realistic. Please bring it back too if you can.
8) And would be cool if Sims could get drunk or if drunk is not allowed just dizzy by drinking too much in the bars or night clubs and then they could get in trouble with police for it . Just make them to do something illegal and then get in trouble for it, we love extreme!!!
9) Sims is all about make us busy, but to be honest I don't want to collect anything anymore or grow garden, this part is boring to me I can't say for others.

Functional traits that actually work
The fears feature from TS2- not neccessary but it'd be awesome!
I don't really use toddlers, but I think it's sad that those who do can't have enough CAS options for them

Walk styles that mesh to long dresses better (ie. none of the walk styles work great with the new Vampires dresses)
I really like the Vampires world (very nice aptmosphere) and lack enough space so I'd kind of like a new world that takes those haunted elements, comes as empty and includes a few lots. Just clone Newcrest, give it a purple smokey feature and I'll be happy. I just want more space, but I want that space to be dark, ready for my new series of Vampire homes, cafes, shops and various other places. I want more of these supernatural and old-fashioned style worlds. I think they are awesome and add a new feel to the game.
The lot traits have potential, so I would like some new ones to be patched in. Currently, lot traits aren't very exciting.
What about a new 'haunted' lot trait for our Haunted Houses? Come on, we have tons of nice build/buy mode items and even CAS items for this, but it isn't haunted if sims don't get scared. It could add a special power buff for supernatural types, horrify pets, have cowards pee themselves, make brave sims feel heroic and make other sims feel a little nervous.
(I don't expect supernatural types and pets to be free, but the haunted trait would be base game)
A new nervous emotion to go with that. Nervous could have so much potential.
Can we have a carnivore trait? Sims with this trait would only like meat and puke when they ate something without meat or collapse when they ate something containing vegetables.
Can we also have a 'food junkie' trait for sims who can't stop chomping at burgers and fast food? They would put on weight as a consequence.
I want a new computer. A new computer that looks super old.
Speaking of computers, my sims ignore other objects when I include a computer, regardless of traits. I'd like this to be more trait & skill related because I don't want my Vampires constantly going on google, that ruins the atmosphere for me.
A 'tech lover' trait. It would basically be for those who love technology and support it.

ok here goes. A few ideas to improve the sims 4. weather, we need different types of weather, if they did it for the sims2 and 3 why not in the sims4. Pets, bring back pets, sims need a furry friend to take care of. Days out ep, places to visit, museums,zoos,aquariam,fun fair, botanical garden, etc. Vacation ep. Farm ep, sims can take care of farm animals, cows, chickens, etc. They can milk cows and get eggs from the chickens and then use these to make goods or sell at a farmers market.

There is a few things which would make the game so much better.
1.Faster eating - I swear it takes the sims FOREVER to eat a meal, its so annoying and my biggest frustration.
2.Lifespan adjuster, I like having a custom age lengths, the normal is too short and the long is too long.
3.Doctor career issues - Once you get higher up the ladder, its annoying to see the patients waiting to be taken to a bed and the NPC's should do it as you are on a timer. Another doctor issue is that your sim will try to return the patient to a bed with a patient on it, not an empty bed. NPC's should also clean up the rubbish in the hospital.
4.Dine out - Again linked to faster eating, you can't have your sim eat a three course meal as it takes forever!
5.Toddlers - The toddlers going into the high chair has too many issues, the adult puts the toddler down, then will pick them up and then put them into the high chair.
6.Nannies - I've had a nanny turn up in plain clothes and not do her job.
1: Age slider, instead of the fixed age slider thats available.

3: New holiday e.g horse riding, you need to go on holiday to be able to use horse, were you hire them out for the day/week how ever long you have chosen for the holiday, you have to look after the horses while your there and you can buy a foal but you have to break it in yourself, train it and you can either sell it or keep going back to the holiday place daily to look after it. Reason for this is A. without open world its going to be hard riding a horse around and B: with only one holiday area it gets kinda boring for me to have my sims going to the same place over and over.
I'd also like to see a romantic getaway holiday especially for newly married sims.
3: A tattoo-hairstylist workplace some generated sims need a make over and rather than swapping to them to change the hair they could also come to get new tattoo or makeover. The main sim you use should be able to work here and has to learn how to cut hair not just be-able to do it. They have to train on either other sims or head dummies that you would have to purchase.
3: Remove load screens in city e.g going to see your neighbour should have no load screen just to enter the same apartment you and your neighbour share.
4: Show a list of enabled cc with the option to delete or turn certain ones off ingame
5: Send your child to private school paying a monthly fee for them being their as either they have to live there or be able to come home at the end of the school day.
6: More traits in create a sim
7: Being able to find out if your having multiple births by going to see the doctor or having the doctor come to your home with a call out charge.
8: Being able to make the sims inventory bigger with a slider so no need to keep scrolling but not taking away the option we already have.
9: When painting on the easel having the option of coloured frames we want to put on them.
10: Less ghosts in lots that your playing. They try to eat and food falls through them into messy puddle on floor, same for drinking etc. They shouldnt be able to eat and remove needing to use the bathroom for them. If they have been mean a certain amount of times you should see them howling as they get taken away by death, if they have been more nice and have a certain amount of ppl they have spoken to with friendly conversation a floating animation for them going to a better resting place. They should pace and be left in town only if they have unfinished business or manage to outrun grim reaper.
11: Telescopes you can actually use on the balcony of the apartment your in so you can look at the area, enjoy scenery, spy on other buildings etc
12: Automatic roofing
13: Have the option of running a food stall in the city and/or growing your own fruit and veg to sell in a market place paying for use of the stall for certain amount of hours or until the market ends at the end of the day, the market can be a daily thing were you use it as a business.
14: Landlines with answer machine to switch on at a selected time were you can listen to messages and select who you want to call back.
15: Washing machines/dryers open your own laundry service make them available in your home too.
16: Give each sims a star sign make this go with certain traits
17: Collect fertilizer for your garden and one click does all unless you run out half way through then you need to collect more, instead of having to click each individual plant.
18: Hobbies for your sims, whether its gardening, knitting, reading etc
19: pets-pet raven/hedgehog (only available if you have a garden and live in town not a city, being able to build hutches for them to sleep in and let out through day time) guinea pigs- Chickens (giving you fresh eggs to use in cooking recipes.) dogs-cats, pet birds having the option of having a cage or a stand where they can be on that through the day and being able to either follow you as you go around the town.
20: Having bikes so you can go on bike rides, or skateboards for teens.
Ice cream carts for the park, with a nice old man NPC serving them.
Exclusive in game shopping system to spend the sims hard earned money. Clothes, Jewelry, shoes. I'd like to have an empty closet starting off, it can help with lag for those with lowers specs, just load what I want/have.

We need the basic things Sims Team, the game is nothing without life simulation basics.....for a life simulation game.
Others have said things along these lines, but it bears repeating. The inventory system is so clunky. I just sent my family to Granite Falls and if my one sim wants to brew up some herbal remedies, he has to keep the ingredients in his inventory. It's messy. What I'd like to see is something like the alchemy cabinet and the chests we had in TS3, with the added feature that when a sim crafts something, it pulls from those cabinets, like the fridge does when one is cooking. This would also help with those of us who just want to keep their collectibles on the lot, but don't have room in the household for five jillion display cases.
Also, if the inventory was sortable, like had tabs for the different types of things that can be in inventory, that would be so much easier to manage.

Ive noticed this, i thought it was just my game doing this because of using a few cc items nightclubs have lots of ghosts in them which can get annoying and if i check sims houses the ones i dont play have ghosts i have to manually put sims in them
I think game can be improved if they made a social/romance system similar to The Sims 2 Chemistry System.
Other things:
1. Likes/Dislikes or Favorites ( music, food, TV station, color, drinks, animal, those sort of things) - Sims should gain positive moodlets when listening/eating/watching their favorites, gain negative moodlets when doing things they don't like. This would help with making sims more unique. It could also help with sim relationships! Want to impress your sim's date, find out what their favorite food is and cook it for them! Or play your enemy's least favorite song on the radio to annoy them.
2. Strength/ Fears/ Weaknesses- This would help build character and could be represented similarly to how strength and weaknesses were introduced in the Vampires game pack. One sim could be a great swimmer (never drowns) while another could be hydrophobic. Maybe you'd have to pick a strength/weakness/fear every time a sim ages up? Or maybe use lifetime points to pick a strength but for every two strengths you pick you'd have to pick one weakness or fear?
3. A Fear Emotion- As someone posted above and many has said before, the game needs a fear emotion! Nervous- Scared- Terrified. Sims that are Nervous tend to have an uneasy look on their face, may sweat, and sound uneasy. If this process or if another sim scares them they inter the next phase called Scared. Sims that are Scared tend to be shaky, their teeth may chatter from time to time, and they constantly look around their surrounding. They will automatically turn on any source of light near them (if lights are off and present), try to navigate to other sims, or hide under the covers/in closet. Certain interactions will be unavailable when sims are scared. Sims that are Terrified may faint (we really need a proper faint animation) if energy need is low , pee themselves if bladder need is low, and their walk cycle is replaced with the panic one (that sims use when a sim near them is going into labor). If they don't calm down (using a mirror, drinking herbal tea, or having another sim try to calm them) they risk being scared to death! The ghost could have a dark mist swirling in them (idk) and causes nearby sims to become Nervous?
4. Brave trait- (if any of the things listed above became a reality) Sims with this trait will always put out fires, never gets scared, are more willing to take risks, and are able to install confidence in other sims. Maybe it could have it's own special moodlet that combats fear too.
5. Coward trait: These sims tend to be nervous, are afraid of the dark, and avoid confrontation. They are afraid of the monster under the bed (all ages) and will get scared if outside at night. They are pretty much afraid of everything. Conflicts with self assured and brave.
6. Shy trait- These sims get embarrassed easily, are tense or nervous around strangers, are happiest around friends, and are rarely confident. The social need decays at a normal rate but it's harder to build social with sims that are not their friends. It conflicts with self assured, outgoing, and brave.
7. Preteens- What I mean by preteen is an age group between child and teen. They should have their own traits, skills, and aspirations (similar to toddlers). They are moody, they pull pranks, they have chores, they talk about the latest trends, they can ware light make-up, they're rebellious, they have crushes, they're too young to drive (if/when we get cars), too old to believe in the monster under the bed, can have their first kiss, try to imitate their older counterparts (teen), like to eat junk food, and may go through a "phase" (think mid life crisis from sims 3). They can play hooky from school, skateboard (if we get those one day), go to middle school, pick up toddlers, hold hands. They could cook some things that require a stove but not grill, they can't play on the pirate/space ships, but can swing on swings (if/when we get them), they also can't drink juice/nectar.
8. More options for Teens- Teens are older than preteens. They already have part-time jobs and can mess around, but they need more unique things/events just for them. Teen should learn how to drive (again, we need cars), go to prom, graduate highschool, throw teen parties. Get scholarships, worry about exams, acne. They just seem older than in previous iterations.

I personally would like to see some implementation of a story mode. Something where players who don't like to create can play a story creation of others. This would definitely merit its own expansion pack with its own features.
The only thing I still want in this game, is the ability to change career branches. I would love the ability to do all aspirations on one person, rather then getting stuck with some I cannot do because of career branches.
It has probably already been mentioned, but new aspirations would be nice. College life like the Sims 3 would be great too. There's really nothing special about being a young adult on the Sims 4 right now.
College/University.
A mythical expansion pack where you can play as mythical creatures, have a secret place where only the mythical creatures can go to.
Cars, where you can buy cars and there could be a wait time driving one place to another depending on what car you buy. There could be an option to disable the car waiting time.
Height adjustments, where you can adjust the height of your sims.
Landmarks and places you can visit. Like previous sim games, add more places like Granite Falls.

I would also love to see Celebrity status returned. For those sims that ender the entertainment or comedian careers it would be great to have sims recognize them on the street or show up when they perform in town. I would love the addition of TS1 style celebrity gamepack. (Models, Singers, Actors- all jobs we could follow and participate in). We have the concept started already with Get To Work, so adding more jobs like that with the addition of notoriety would be an amazing addition.
2) Would be cool to have adventure park with attractions.
3) more careers such as dentist, make them have rotten teeth after chocolate cake and we like to own our own things, we could own hotel or pet store.
4) I would love to have some high heal shoes, I have some mods, but I only need it because they don't have very beautiful high heals.
5) They could have real celebrity careers like movie star and go act and give interviews, be a singer and make a lot of money out of concerts.
6) Burglars, bring them back please they were fun!
7) I loved when teens ran away from home and police caught them and brought them back it was so realistic. Please bring it back too if you can.
8) And would be cool if Sims could get drunk or if drunk is not allowed just dizzy by drinking too much in the bars or night clubs and then they could get in trouble with police for it . Just make them to do something illegal and then get in trouble for it, we love extreme!!!
9) Sims is all about make us busy, but to be honest I don't want to collect anything anymore or grow garden, this part is boring to me I can't say for others.
(I don't expect supernatural types and pets to be free, but the haunted trait would be base game)

1.Faster eating - I swear it takes the sims FOREVER to eat a meal, its so annoying and my biggest frustration.
2.Lifespan adjuster, I like having a custom age lengths, the normal is too short and the long is too long.
3.Doctor career issues - Once you get higher up the ladder, its annoying to see the patients waiting to be taken to a bed and the NPC's should do it as you are on a timer. Another doctor issue is that your sim will try to return the patient to a bed with a patient on it, not an empty bed. NPC's should also clean up the rubbish in the hospital.
4.Dine out - Again linked to faster eating, you can't have your sim eat a three course meal as it takes forever!
5.Toddlers - The toddlers going into the high chair has too many issues, the adult puts the toddler down, then will pick them up and then put them into the high chair.
6.Nannies - I've had a nanny turn up in plain clothes and not do her job.

3: New holiday e.g horse riding, you need to go on holiday to be able to use horse, were you hire them out for the day/week how ever long you have chosen for the holiday, you have to look after the horses while your there and you can buy a foal but you have to break it in yourself, train it and you can either sell it or keep going back to the holiday place daily to look after it. Reason for this is A. without open world its going to be hard riding a horse around and B: with only one holiday area it gets kinda boring for me to have my sims going to the same place over and over.
I'd also like to see a romantic getaway holiday especially for newly married sims.
3: A tattoo-hairstylist workplace some generated sims need a make over and rather than swapping to them to change the hair they could also come to get new tattoo or makeover. The main sim you use should be able to work here and has to learn how to cut hair not just be-able to do it. They have to train on either other sims or head dummies that you would have to purchase.
3: Remove load screens in city e.g going to see your neighbour should have no load screen just to enter the same apartment you and your neighbour share.
4: Show a list of enabled cc with the option to delete or turn certain ones off ingame
5: Send your child to private school paying a monthly fee for them being their as either they have to live there or be able to come home at the end of the school day.

If they have been mean a certain amount of times you should see them howling as they get taken away by death, if they have been more nice and have a certain amount of ppl they have spoken to with friendly conversation a floating animation for them going to a better resting place. They should pace and be left in town only if they have unfinished business or manage to outrun grim reaper.
11: Telescopes you can actually use on the balcony of the apartment your in so you can look at the area, enjoy scenery, spy on other buildings etc

13: Have the option of running a food stall in the city and/or growing your own fruit and veg to sell in a market place paying for use of the stall for certain amount of hours or until the market ends at the end of the day, the market can be a daily thing were you use it as a business.
14: Landlines with answer machine to switch on at a selected time were you can listen to messages and select who you want to call back.
15: Washing machines/dryers open your own laundry service make them available in your home too.
16: Give each sims a star sign make this go with certain traits
17: Collect fertilizer for your garden and one click does all unless you run out half way through then you need to collect more, instead of having to click each individual plant.
18: Hobbies for your sims, whether its gardening, knitting, reading etc
19: pets-pet raven/hedgehog (only available if you have a garden and live in town not a city, being able to build hutches for them to sleep in and let out through day time) guinea pigs- Chickens (giving you fresh eggs to use in cooking recipes.) dogs-cats, pet birds having the option of having a cage or a stand where they can be on that through the day and being able to either follow you as you go around the town.
20: Having bikes so you can go on bike rides, or skateboards for teens.
Ice cream carts for the park, with a nice old man NPC serving them.
Exclusive in game shopping system to spend the sims hard earned money. Clothes, Jewelry, shoes. I'd like to have an empty closet starting off, it can help with lag for those with lowers specs, just load what I want/have.

More interactive events Like Baby Showers, Funerals, Tea Party, The option to "Grab drinks together" etc
More interactive Decor objects like Picnic Baskets, Fine China Tea sets, jewelry counter with neck, hand mannequins, etc.
Separate funds, with options to merge accounts with selected sims. Allowance for kids, give us the option to give them money.
More everyday jobs, teacher, fireman, grocery store clerk, etc.
Also, if the inventory was sortable, like had tabs for the different types of things that can be in inventory, that would be so much easier to manage.
Ive noticed this, i thought it was just my game doing this because of using a few cc items nightclubs have lots of ghosts in them which can get annoying and if i check sims houses the ones i dont play have ghosts i have to manually put sims in them
Other things:
1. Likes/Dislikes or Favorites ( music, food, TV station, color, drinks, animal, those sort of things) - Sims should gain positive moodlets when listening/eating/watching their favorites, gain negative moodlets when doing things they don't like. This would help with making sims more unique. It could also help with sim relationships! Want to impress your sim's date, find out what their favorite food is and cook it for them! Or play your enemy's least favorite song on the radio to annoy them.
2. Strength/ Fears/ Weaknesses- This would help build character and could be represented similarly to how strength and weaknesses were introduced in the Vampires game pack. One sim could be a great swimmer (never drowns) while another could be hydrophobic. Maybe you'd have to pick a strength/weakness/fear every time a sim ages up? Or maybe use lifetime points to pick a strength but for every two strengths you pick you'd have to pick one weakness or fear?
3. A Fear Emotion- As someone posted above and many has said before, the game needs a fear emotion! Nervous- Scared- Terrified. Sims that are Nervous tend to have an uneasy look on their face, may sweat, and sound uneasy. If this process or if another sim scares them they inter the next phase called Scared. Sims that are Scared tend to be shaky, their teeth may chatter from time to time, and they constantly look around their surrounding. They will automatically turn on any source of light near them (if lights are off and present), try to navigate to other sims, or hide under the covers/in closet. Certain interactions will be unavailable when sims are scared. Sims that are Terrified may faint (we really need a proper faint animation) if energy need is low , pee themselves if bladder need is low, and their walk cycle is replaced with the panic one (that sims use when a sim near them is going into labor). If they don't calm down (using a mirror, drinking herbal tea, or having another sim try to calm them) they risk being scared to death! The ghost could have a dark mist swirling in them (idk) and causes nearby sims to become Nervous?
4. Brave trait- (if any of the things listed above became a reality) Sims with this trait will always put out fires, never gets scared, are more willing to take risks, and are able to install confidence in other sims. Maybe it could have it's own special moodlet that combats fear too.
5. Coward trait: These sims tend to be nervous, are afraid of the dark, and avoid confrontation. They are afraid of the monster under the bed (all ages) and will get scared if outside at night. They are pretty much afraid of everything. Conflicts with self assured and brave.
6. Shy trait- These sims get embarrassed easily, are tense or nervous around strangers, are happiest around friends, and are rarely confident. The social need decays at a normal rate but it's harder to build social with sims that are not their friends. It conflicts with self assured, outgoing, and brave.
7. Preteens- What I mean by preteen is an age group between child and teen. They should have their own traits, skills, and aspirations (similar to toddlers). They are moody, they pull pranks, they have chores, they talk about the latest trends, they can ware light make-up, they're rebellious, they have crushes, they're too young to drive (if/when we get cars), too old to believe in the monster under the bed, can have their first kiss, try to imitate their older counterparts (teen), like to eat junk food, and may go through a "phase" (think mid life crisis from sims 3). They can play hooky from school, skateboard (if we get those one day), go to middle school, pick up toddlers, hold hands. They could cook some things that require a stove but not grill, they can't play on the pirate/space ships, but can swing on swings (if/when we get them), they also can't drink juice/nectar.
8. More options for Teens- Teens are older than preteens. They already have part-time jobs and can mess around, but they need more unique things/events just for them. Teen should learn how to drive (again, we need cars), go to prom, graduate highschool, throw teen parties. Get scholarships, worry about exams, acne. They just seem older than in previous iterations.
