I've always been big on in-game photos with the cell phones or cameras and I love to decorate the house with them and keep them as memories as time goes on. Does anyone else do this? I'll post some of my photos below and I'd love to see yours, too!
This is lovely! I haven't done this lately, but in my DITFT challenge, I have pictures from each generation all around the house as a way to immortalize the heirs, spouses, and spares.
I do wish we had some more pose options with the studio camera, though. I want romantic pose options for couples to be a thing so much, haha.
I do that too!! Its always been one of my favorite features! It's also great for generational gameplay! And I love that you can change the filter (that way, young grandma's pictures get the grayscale or sepia filter when she's older to emulate time passing!).
Oooooh yes, I LOVE doing this - I do this all the time! I especially love taking photos at weddings and then distributing those throughout the family. I will have to post some pictures later! I love all of the ones that have been shared so far - some really thoughtful arrangements.
I had never considered doing sepia tone for older pictures, but I am SO going to try that now!
When I discovered that using the photo studio would cause the photo to have aura of the mood the Sim was in at the time the photo was taken, I made tons!!! I put the in community lots I want to have Sims in that mood. Your screenshots look great!!!!
I noticed they had a picture frame in my game, but I can't figure out how to add pictures. Does anyone care to explain? What is the photo studio?
I'm not sure what you mean by picture frame because I have to see it or it just isn't coming to mind. The photo studio is the camera with the backdrop a lights.
@GoddessSims It's a decoration item you can stand up on a table. I was assuming it would be a lot like Sims 3 and you would need the frame before you could add the picture. I guess the one in this game is just for looks..
@rosemow Thanks. I don't have GTW. I was supposed to get it for Black Friday, but Origin didn't accept the card I tried to ue. Is decorating with pictures not included in base game?
Yes that one is for looks unfortunately we don't have that option in TS4, I wish we did though!!! I was thinking you were getting confused with TS3 for a second....LOL I have been making my own photos with Sims 4 Studio of the screenshots I have taken.

Hello
The photography skill came with GTW.
I think that you can still take photos on your cell phone if you don't have GTW, but they can't be put on the walls.
Okay. Thanks, guys. Yeah, I was confused about it. I guess they didn't include that feature in base game..
All I seem to be able to do now is choose under the friendly interactions to take pic together, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. That, and just using the actual "C" to take one of in game. Hopefully, I can take advantage of sales after Christmas or something and finally get GTW.
I like your photos on the wall. Awesome!
And I am also fond of using an in-game camera to capture some moments of my sims' lives. I actually prefer putting the pictures of my sims on the wall to just using pre-made decor pieces of artwork. Not to mention the photo studio item in the game! Glad that there is this amazing feature in the game.
I rarely did it until I started playing a photographer. I put a lot of the pictures she takes on her walls and then have her take pictures of her pictures so I can post them on my blog (I'm writing the story from her perspective).
She's gonna need a bigger apartment because I'm starting to run out of room to place the pictures!
The photos look very nice how they have been placed on the walls! @MDianaSanders They are very special pictures of your sims, and the placement of them on the walls looks very nice
This is adorable! I have always tried to place them nicely in game but never really thought about rearranging them in buy mode and using MOO but it looks so lovely and realistic. I love the over-lapping because it makes it look like a collage frame. Very creative.

The photos look so special on the walls! They are very nice photo memories of your sims at different times of their lives.

I also agree with @Pixelsimmer , I use the filters to also emulate time passing.

Hello
When you take a photo, you can place it on the wall, then click on it and the option to add a frame will be there.
This is a picture of the photo studio item and a little bit about it. It came with GTW.
