@popettypop2012 well personally i believe its okay with maybe one tv and one computer or at least make the room for it so people who download it can put it on their own=P im building on a 64x64 lot so i got alot of space haha. Started on 50x50 but it wouldnt fit for me. Its sooo massive
@WiggleyTuff thanks for the advice:)!i'm also trying to build on a 64x64 for the first time. I can only imagine how many mistakes i'd make on such a big lot!! Scary stuff:(
I had a peek in the gallery for medieval and castle for ideas and inspiration ( I often do this before a big build) and now I am in awe of others creations and can't start my own Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hello @Liziann1 .
I am sure that your castle will go well ! Try googling castles also and that may help you as you build your own.
@Liziann1 sometimes looking in the gallery isnt a good idea lol
try googling images for medieval castles some really good pictures come up for ideas for design
Thanks both, I have been on a good site tonight, Ive read up a bit more on Camelot and castle types! however my leg is achy and twitchy so I am going to bed, I will build over the weekend, Ive picked my lot . . .

Good Night x
Goodnight @Liziann1 I am sorry that your leg is aching. I send a hug to you and hope that the sleep eases the achiness.
I'm trying (when I get little down time here and there) to make it with the least amount of electronics in it as possible. It seems more realistic right?
@Liziann1 of course it is ok, there is no requirement for items so people wont be judged badly for adding mod cons but style/design wise the requirements are looking for a "Castle set in medieval times"
We do want builds/entries to be fully functional in game for people to play and I understand by having a computer or maybe a tv helps with that so they are ok.
Personally if I was building id either put a small one in thats not to obvious or not many electronics at all as people can put them in themselves if they want after downloading the build.
Also the entries still need all the necessities sims need day to day even if they weren't available in the medieval times so we still expect to see fridge and other things.
thanks all, I think Ive found a way forward, with my build, its on a great lot, it looks like a castle, I am just finding it hard decorate lavishly, in the medieval theme, oh and Ive just realised with the castle walls I have no windows in any ground floor rooms . . .

I've found that columns can add a nice bit of character to almost any room. The use of marble or tiling, in contrast to just stone or wood, also helps add interest. Lastly, drapes can add a bit of depth and texture, even when not used on a window.

Enchanted Kingdom looks so very, very nice! @popettypop2012 It looks so very lovely! Very nice exterior design and layout of the castle and build! The roofing and towers look very great! The greenery looks very nice on the exterior walls. Very nice outdoors areas! They look very great! The bridge entrance looks great. The rocks and flowers look so very nice and pretty lining the edges of the water! The lilypads are nice in the water. It is great that the large water fountain is in the build. Very nice throne and dining room! The texture of the walls gives a great look and feel to the room. The Knights look great placed either sides of the throne, keeping guard of the sims! The red carpet flooring looks nice and it looks great how the red ropes are used there. Sims will enjoy sitting at the table eating and drinking food and drinks from the buffet table and fountain. The portraits are a nice touch on the wall. Very nice music room! Sims will enjoy sitting resting on the sofas there having a chat near the fire and enjoy listening to the piano being played. The musician themed wall picture is a nice touch there. The wall and floor candles in the rooms look very nice and suit well the type of home.
The castle is so very nice!
Just a quick note to everyone to check the new end time for the challenges, they have been changed to take into account day lights savings.
Its only a slight change by 1 hour
