@emere you know what? Your house reminds me of cake lol. You ever see those baking shows where the make an extravagantly built cake? Your house makes me want to eat it
Your shell looks great! @VioletRed Very nice design of it! I hope that you enjoy doing part 2 of the challenge! I will look forward to seeing the update on your build.
@VioletRed my daughter told me the same I will do something in the next step, it is somehow ugly. But it was nice as a practice, I feel I discover some stuff that I like Do not do a checkmate with your shell
Your build is looking very nice! @chips46 The exterior design looks very nice! Very nice blue colour scheme of the build! The planter boxes and wall decor look great on the exterior walls. The flower wall decor look nice placed either sides of the front entryway door. The balconies look great! Very nice pool balcony! Sims will enjoy diving into the pool. The gym nook is nice . Sims will like using the fitness equipment outdoors in the air to keep fit. The hedging looks great used there. The roofing ledge with the alien plants on it over the top of the art nook looks very nice! Sims will enjoy painting on the easel on the art balcony and look out at the views at the same time. Very nice roofing on the build!
The build looks great!
Your build looks very nice! @crysk Very nice layout of the build! The floor patterning on the patio flooring through the outdoors looks so very nice! It looks great the way the patio extends around a middle atrium area. The roofing building looks great! Nice firepit area. Sims will enjoy sitting on the bench seating around the fire toasting food. The fish tanks look nice there, and would be restful for the sims to look at the fish. Very nice trellis covered outdoors kitchen and dining patio! Sims will enjoy cooking meals on the BBQ and eating it at the dining table there or enjoy having food from the buffet table. The art nook is nice. Sims will enjoy painting on the easel three. The flower patterning on the walls looks very nice! The ledge roofed chess nook is great!
The build is very nice!
It is great that you have designed your build on the theme of a spaceship that has landed! @Amiejaidenalbie_1988 Very nice design of the exterior! The spaceship roofing looks great! It looks nice that you used the glass floor tiles for the bridge. The floral greenery on the front and back exteriors of the home looks very nice! The alien plants in the planters in the back porch area looks great! The vases of plants are a nice touch there. Nice armchairs sitting area on the front porch for sims to rest in the sunshine. The plants look very nice either sides of the front door and entry of the bridge. The upper balcony sitting area is very nice. Sims will have great views when sitting there. The nook with the water window and round item looks great! The type of windows used in the bulld look very nice.
The build is great!
@chips you put a basement in then select the basement room so you can see the edges of it highlighted go up a floor to the ground floor then click on the yellow border around the basemebt room and click remove ceiling. Then it should be all open and you can put stairs to walk down into it
Sorry for the delay everyone I have been super busy and the monthly judging was epic this month
I will be trying to catch up a little on this challenge today
Great theme I love the whole alien theme and the lowered ground
Firstly the shape is great pretty much anything but square is good for this challenge I just wanted people to experiment
The roofing I love so creative, though it gets a bit lost being all white and I thought with the touches of grey you did on the exterior you could of matched the roof a little like so:
Oh and a grey roof trim around the whole roof would of looked great to even though I didn't add it til after I had taken the pic
Also just to clean it up a bit putting wall trim around the 2nd floor will make it look a lot cleaner as you can see in the before pic under the balcony looks a different color and you can see all the bottoms of the light strips, putting the trim will cover all the joins and using a grey one will add to the white/grey you have been using and if you put grey trim around the roof will match with that also.
I also put some wall decoration behind the seat on the balcony to fill that blank space, could be anything really but just needed something.
I also loved the hanging gardens of joy on the back of the build, great decoration. You could have done a little more decoration on the plain white bits of wall but will wait til its finished to see if it needs more.
Great night view also cant wait to see this one finished
Ok firstly I love the shapes, triangular shapes can be difficult to work with but you captured this challenge perfectly by experimenting.
Now this maybe just my personal preference so its just an idea, but the flooring used on the balconies and grey bits of roof just look a bit strange I think it might just be the plain color and not having any texture
So I did fiddle a little and thought using browns would look better (again might be just my personal preference)
I also didn't go through all the flooring so there is probably better ones to choose
Great creative roofing and I love the fencing mixed in with it and the decoration.
Gorgeous night view really looks spectacular, and love the different colors used. Even though there isnt a ton of decoration its not needed before the colors are broken up
The window creations look amazing to well done on that creative idea and I love the tower of hanging gardens of joy up the side
Great activities on the balconies you could go a bit more on the decoration maybe another seat here and there or another plant pot but I think its the flooring that makes it look a bit bare with it having no real texture.
Great use of the trims for the roof and the walls.
One thing we always notice with you is your a perfectionist and we hardly ever find errors with your builds, if you have any tips for other players we would love you to add a little paragraph on how you make sure you don't have placement or play errors in your builds that we can link on the first page of this thread with the tutorials
Cant wait to see where you take this build.
Oh and I was a bit curious why there was a naked red lady in the house haha
@VioletRed if you dont mind Id love to wait til you do part 2 to give feedback but I cant see anything wrong with the shape you have created I think it will look great
@Cbear13 I hope you don't mind I change my roof a bit as it look like a pyramid hat lol and a few other things as I was not happy with and I'll start working on part 3 when I'm finished my restaurant.
Of course its fine the requirements are just a guideline to make everyone experiement but id also like your builds to match and look good so they wont all fit in with every build
Changing the flooring do the magic Now I see why I do not like the building, it looks brown not black with day light. I do not like brown, but I will keep it as a challenge With the new step I will change the shape a little, I'm sure the stairs to the second floor would be a problem
I learn how to make clean rooms with the feedback from challenges, before them I even did not know how to use cheats. And I love playable lots. Maybe I'm more a player than a builder. I will do a tip list
Hahaha I use the mannequin as a reference. As I do not build with a sims in the lot, I always put a red mannequin in front, at the middle, to keep a realistic scale. It is easy to loose proportions at build mode. It is handy, mannequins do not eat
Thanks @Cbear13
