I made this for Granite Falls. I love it. I have discovered though, that you can't own it while it's in Granite Falks, but you can still visit it and it'll work normally as an NPC resturaunt.
I posted this already in another forum but anyway here is the first little restaurant I built. It's your typical neighbourhood restaurant. Once a small little cottage it was converted and given a little glass extension out the back to overlook the gardens. At night time I keep the lights dim and tinted to make it more atmospheric.

I've done a bit more outside (signage, lights etc) and started doing inside (bar and kitchen are done so far) but I don't get a lot of spare time to play at the moment so it'll be slow going. I'm stalking threads like this to copy get some ideas

So many great looking restaurants. I downloaded a cinema, which has a restaurant upstairs (used to be a cafe, I only changed a few bits). I will have to go and look up who made the Lot as it is awesome.
My sims had a great time there, except they had to wait hours for dessert and finally gave up in the end.
I made an open-air ice cream parlour. Sells all flavours (half in cones/half in bowls because limit of 30 items per course) and most fruity/fizzy/dairy drinks. The uniforms are a bit piratey, but not full on pirate costumes.
I only took one pic, because my simself and RL self was sleepy.
