CC or not CC? That is the question.

Once I was saving a family to my library and noticed that it was marked as CC.

The thing is that in Sims 4 I have NEVER used any CC - NO mods, NO poses, NO even "cover editors" like Sims 4 Tray Importer. And I NEVER download anything that is marked as CC.
I was upset.
@SimGuruRusskii @SimGuruDrake What is it? A bug? Some new rule? Yes, I do use cheat codes in my game, but I'm not the only one, am I?
In my library I saw that almost all my families got CC mark.
Even this family that was saved when I was a Sims 4 beginner and the only cheat I used was motherlode.

I always use motherlode starting a new family as I want my sims live in decent houses from the beginning. (Yes, I'm impatient.

)
And recently I created a home.
And it is marked as CC.

The house has no downloads. And it won't have any. Those who don't use CC won't dare download it. (And I understand them - I wouldn't either.) And for those who do use CC this house is too ordinary.
It's so frustrating!

There are other simmers that are having the same issue, of the game saying that their sims have cc on them, although they have never downloaded cc for their game.
A workaround if you would like to upload your sims to the gallery and want them to be cc free is to start a new game, go to CAS, replace the random sim that is there with your modded cc Sim ( what the game is saying has cc) from your library , and then save the sim to your library again.

With the issue of simtaken photos or painting by reference pictures showing up as cc in builds, a thread that refers to the issue has been started on the AHQ EA site .

The issue with the photos showing up as cc in builds, was fixed in today's patch.

We fixed an issue where photographs placed on a lot could incorrectly flag the lot as having CC when shared to the Gallery.
This will correct the issue for creations going forward.

Do houses with old photos still need to have those photos replaced to remove the cc flag? I ran into this today after the update, I was super happy to see it fixed and went into a house I wanted to share and some of the photos were black, some were duplicated and the house remained flagged for cc. I deleted all the photos and the house is now cc free, sans old photos.

So...is this for new photos and reference paintings only? I suppose I answered my question but its possible I just had bad photos?

New only, and please note that paintings by reference were not fixed and can still generate the CC flag.

Yes, the houses with old photos are still marked as CC. Though all the photos are OK in my houses.
But at least my sims are not marked as CC.
