I miss being able to enchant my gnomes and lawn flamingos. I liked almost everything about Makin Magic except how the vendor quests drained your sim's motives as they tried to complete them in order to get spell or charm ingredients.
I have been playing The Sims since 2001, when Livin Large came out. My avatar deliberately looks like Chris Roomies from TS1.
I love to see all the sports and hobby related activities make a return. Also the juicer machine.
I miss deliberately making my sims put a fresh-caught boot in the juicer machine. I also miss the volleyball court from Sims 1 Vacation, and the moldable clay from Sims 2. I love having lots of hobbies for my sims to work on.

Thank you so much for making this thread @LoveMcQueen5683 I hope Maxis will see this and take these ideas seriously into consideration!
Here are my wishes for future content and features for TS4:
1. Toddlers. I miss them so much.
2. I miss the free babies from TS2. I wish our Sims could bathe them, play with them with cute little teddy bears, and I also miss the baby swings and baby mats from TS3 Store, they made the babies in TS3 at least somehow more enjoyable.
3. I miss apartments and the rental system from TS2 Apartment Life.
4. I miss the realistic grocery stores and grocery/clothes shopping from TS2. I wish they could add those venues back for TS4.
5. I miss the proper career rewards from The Sims 2.
6. I miss horses and cats and dogs from TS3 Pets. I want them to add those to a Pets/Animal EP for TS4 someday.
7. I miss restaurants and being able to own a restaurant. I miss the waiters, the chefs, everything. I also miss the real estate investigation ability from TS3 (ability to own different venues and get profit from them).
8. I miss the realistic aspects of TS2 OFB EP: Sims carrying shopping bags, Sims getting in front of the cash register (I wish there was an option for this in GTW), the business critics, etc.
9. I miss the hobby system from TS2 Freetime.
10. I miss the realistic genetics system from TS2.
11. I miss all the things from TS1 Makin' Magic and Superstar. Those EPs with some updates would make The Sims 4 a lot more fun.
12. I miss seasons.
13. I miss exotic destinations/vacations. Also honeymoons would be so lovely.
14. I miss the awesome Dating system from TS2 Nightlife.
15. I would love to have open schools, universities and city halls in TS4! I miss those lots so much!
16. I miss the Stadium from TS3 and I wish they would make that to an actual open venue!
17. I miss Mrs Crumblebottom from TS1 Hot Date, punching young couples with her little bag!
18. I miss the awesome memory system from TS2.
19. I miss family portraits.
20. I miss cars, buses, boats and houseboats from previous Sims games.
I miss sniffing out gems and collectibles either via dog or werewolf (prefer werewolf). I loved decorating my house with gems and other collectibles!!! Not to mention that the tiberium gem generated enough moola to make it a legitimate career.
I didn't play sims 3 very long and no expansions ect.. but I hear some things that I would have wanted so I miss (I do want them in Sims 4 style though)
-What @Phierakitten just said sniffing out collectibles never heard about this .. I want it when Pets come.
-Farming
-Horses (I want farm animals too)
-Realistic (small) sized telescopes (Prior sims in general)
-I miss being able to tell my save games apart easily when I start the game and decide which to load in. (I liked sims 2 style where you could name your neighborhood and expand from that base per game.) I play by themed worlds (like a test world, normal world, deviant world ect..) and it gets confusing and frustrating because it defaults to save by the last family you play. I liked saving by a global name with some other prompt (visual) to remember which world it was.

You can save it as a name though. My sister and I named our files after our names so we can tell them apart.
What I really miss and need the most:
- Color wheel & CASt
- Normal looking teens (and not these extremely disproportionate tall teens with no shouders, small eyes and no hips)
- Improve texture to base game hairstyles (consistent quality)
- More color options to blushes and lipstick added to the base game (since cc is not popular in the gallery)
- Toddlers
- CAW
- Open world
- Retail business from home
- A lot less structured active careers
- Multi level foundations on one lot
- Terrain tools
- Octagonal roofs
- Part time job for adults
- Self employed careers
- Elevators, spiral stair, L shaped stairs
- Boats and house boats
- Bigger worlds
- Playing instruments together
- Piercings
- More tattoos
- Being able to fade or sharpen makeup and tattoos
What I miss a lot but could live without:
- Making out while lying on the bed
- Growing and selling flowers in a retail business (like in the sims 2, just loved it)
- Burglurs
- Cake dancer
- Normal sized objects
- Likes/dislikes
- Sewing machine
- Zodiac signs and compability
- swing sets
- Magazines

In Sims 3, Dogs and werewolves could "sniff out collectibles" I usually just it most for gems and metals but they could gain skill in it and become better sniffing out higher quality collectibles. Cats could catch small critters but it's the collectible collecting canines I loved the most!!
Either a Pets expansion, Seasons expansion or some kind of College/University expansion would solve most of the problems people still have with Sims 4 right now, just as Get To Work gave more job complexity and Get Together was made to solve the issues people had with not enough socialising going on.
In short, bit by bit everything that was in Sims 3 will in time be brought into Sims 4, whether in Stuff, Game or Expansion packs, and presumably more.
Prepping a list of mods to add after Infants are placed into the game. Because real life isn't 'nice'.
Online Dating (that's where I my Sim met the love of my his life, Xander Clavell
All types of carpool
Private School
and so much more
Speaking of online dating, i heard before the sims 4 was released that you could have events for single sims... That would have been interesting, too bad it's not there.
There was also something about social bunny *sigh*

I miss shower woohoo and I really want world adventure back
Ya know its weird, shower woohoo animations have been found the in the games files a long time ago but they still aren't available in the game. Same with bed cuddling. I'll add shower woohoo to the list.
leaving the tv on when doing other interactions. i mean, who turns the tv off because they have to take a bathroom break, or cook or whatever? it should stay on until we decide to turn it off. it would also be a cool detail to have a glow from tv and computer screens when the lights are off.
I'd like to see sims become furious with other sims like they did in TS2.
Also, I'd want sims in the sims 4 to have more complexity to them; traits are more meaningful, they remember events like they did in TS2, and different "bars" (reputation, influence etc.)
Family trees are really needed in TS4. I sometimes forget how sims are related because I have so many played families. I think it could be something devs could patch in. The return of weather would really excite me, as would driveways cars and garages. So many things ts2 had ts4 does not.

I would like to point out, that children can already play piano in The Sims 4.

It would be nice if someone knowledgeable would look over the list and make sure there is nothing on it that is already in the game.
And feel free to comment anything you want to see return in the game. Or new concept ideas are welcome too.
