Best thread ever haha. My townies look like they got dressed in the dark constantly--love it.

Honestly the townies that had terrible clothing combination were all due to the CC I had. What I did recently was remove "Randomization" from all the CC I have. This means CC items are never going appear when randomizing or when the game generates sims.
The game itself does much a better job with the combination. Yes there are few exceptions but they are not many. Now no more I get a pink or blue haired sim wearing a green bra with long brown socks and stripped skirt!

Lol! This is a super cute and funny thread. I've seen my share of Townie Sims...with... ehem.. interesting fashion tastes.. but sadly, I've not taken any pictures. x-x I'll definitely have to do that the next time I'm in game, especially since this thread is here.

Oh dear. I know he's named after a character that lives with aliens that wear some interesting attire, but I think he may need to realize he's only named after him...lol. Shorts are cute though.

@Orchid13 I actually like that sim you found (Below),and would even make one intentionally like that.She is awesome!!.I made one the other day wearing a black and white polka dotted blazer paired it with a silver sequin skirt with white knee-highs and high heels.So yeah yours is fabulous you should have kept her.
Didn't the devs say before release that they made the AI more stylish this time around, meaning townies wouldn't like this? Since then I have realized they were lying. To make matters worse, some CC creators allow their creations to be randomly used on townies, so I have plenty of male sims with eyeliner and pink lip gloss... This happens with base game content too, though, and I'm not evenn sure if creators can affect it. I often use testingcheats to fix the worst crimes against humanity (and fashion) I see around town.
Its typically connected to custom content. When creating it there are 'flags' for fashion placement. Color combinations, warm vs cool colors etc. I think many creators don't bother to edit those settings so you get odd stuff like this. I kinda like it though. It makes me giggle when I see townies dressed like this. Mostly because it reminds me of the fashion nightmares in the real world. I've seen (and I'm sure you all have too) some real doozies.
My hubby plays the sims also and some of the things he purposely puts together on his active sims would make you swear a random generator dressed them :P
Loving yourself is the most simple and complicated thing you can do for you.

It is better to turn off randomization for all CC or at least the CC you don't want to be available for randomization.

It is good to preview CC, delete unwanted swatches or packages and also to remove randomization.
