Sims 2 vs. Sims 4 (Base Game)
In your opinion, what do you prefer - the Sims 2 or the Sims 4?
I like the Sims 4 better, because it is much more open world than the Sims 2, but the Sims 3 is more open world than the Sims 4.

TS2 by far. TS2 had more content. It had more life. The sims weren't emotionally dead or bipolar.

- Clothes can be use in all the categories (casual, formal, ...)
- Autosave
- Tattoos
- Hat for all hair
- Shoes
- More accessory categories (socks, watch, necklace, earring, ...)
- Advanced Build Mode tools
- Better exchange system (the Gallery)
- You can visit the NPC townies' houses

The Sims 4 General DiscussionBut I prefer sims 4 base. I like managing all the different emotions. I like the little bit of extra room to roam outside their house, although I'd love to at least be able knock on the neighbor's door! The clothes, shoes and hair are much better in sims 4. Sliders are better.
Sims 4 is getting more interesting as they bring on more content.
But I really really really miss toddlers.

The Sims 4 General DiscussionThe sims 3 set the bar pretty high for things like customization and the open world.
The sims 4, honestly, was set up for failure the second they started making it online. They abandoned popular features, as well as basic content, and there is no guarantee that any of it will return. Also with the way shortcuts are now being taken and features are being watered down it won't live up to either game. It's just too late for any substantial changes to the core experience.
So if I were to pit TS2 against TS4, 2 would win by a long shot.

I feel like everything you post is sarcastic...
The last time I tried, it was a nightmare with the Ultimate Collection. Earlier, it was with Store Edition which wasn't stable.
I remember there was a tons of mods which fix the game.

I still do. And love it. I someetimes play ts1 just because I am in that mood. My most played sims game is ts2. Followed by ts1 ts3 and ts4.
