    Potential Expansions Packs for Sims 4

    in The Sims 4 Packs Discussion
    After an official survey, these next potential expansions were made public:

    1. Active Careers (but i believe this is already included in GTW)
    2. Health and Wellness - create and manage your own centre: soothing massages, acupuncture, mud baths, sauna, personal training
    3. Fame and Fortune - climb the celebrity ladder, sign autographs, be adored by fans or hide from paparazzi, manage your image.

    What do you think?

      I really hope they get rid of health and wellness like no :neutral_face: ... also fame and fortune no :neutral_face: ...

      Yeah they Tried (and failed) with Celebrity / Fame packs already in past games.. I am so tired of the same old same old! a Reset of ideas Is in Dire Need here! .. I do like the Active Careers though. But with GTW, surely that would cover the basics? They could easily have Free add-ons of New careers in future patches / or even game packs! Right.

      Someone suggested active schools, what do you think? Do you want more activities for kids, at school and at home?

      Yasss!!! Oh my plum Definitely would be Awesome!! And Sorely NEEDED! We need MOAR interactions with kids! Right now.. they're just like walking mini-zombies with Actual Zero Friends socialisation!! I mean. . WHAT is the point in having friends if You DON'T Socialise and hang out?! Whaaaa??? :angry:

      For real though, I'd go apeplum If they gave us Actual Social Interaction for kids!!

      If they do active schools I'd be nice for an active education career for our sims, such as teaching a classroom or being a principal. Also did the survey include a farm life EP? I think it would be kinda cool for sims to be farmers. Growing crops, raising animals and selling products at markets sounds interesting. I think Sims 3 had some farming stuff from the store but I think TS4 could do it better. Could possibly fit in a Pets EP

      In the survey they didn't mentioned pets and/or farm life, but i think that we will have an exp. for Pets also in Sims 4, and a farm lfe is an amazing idea, having all sort of animals: pigs, horses, chickens, cow. I hope they will think to make a Farm life exp. pack or game pack! I totally agree with you! Thanks for posting!

      Yes they did. I saw dogs,cats and small animals mentioned.

      Active schools would fit in better with a Generations EP.

      Create a vibrant and evolving new town for your Sims to explore! Build out your town with new venues including pop-up restaurants, coffee shops, and farmer’s markets, among others. Change the rules of your town by becoming Mayor and making your own laws or use neighborhood editing tools to fully customize your town as you see fit!

      And this combined

      City Living
      It’s time for your Sims to experience city living. Meet brand new neighbors and friends as your Sims live in a loft or apartment in one of the many high rise buildings. Your Sims will be able to check out the latest bands and DJs and dance the night away in the new rooftop night clubs. If you feel inspired, you’ll even have the opportunity to start your band and try to make it big!


      To sum it up I want to have a fully open job at City Hall (politics), and becoming to mayor to change the rules of the city, Introduce the open firefighter career back, and have apartments. The city will be filled with, dance clubs, Poetry clubs, restaurants, laundry mats, ect...

      The expansion name CITY LIFE.

      Let's hope for these two really soon maybe in The Fall. Maybe they could combine both of them into one expansion pack.

      Huh? So if I want those expansion packs, should I be worried that if you don't want them, then I won't get what I want? I want to be able to film my own films so bad, and have a singer sim who is on a big arena :( maybe they could combine those two? And that is your personal opinion. What you said is not a fact, it's your own opinion.

      You have to worry if the vast majority of people don't want them since it's all based on popularity votes. I don't want the health and wellness, maybe as a Game Pack but it doesn't look in depth enough to be an Expansion Pack. However, Fame and Fortune doesn't look too bad so long as they don't approach it the way Showtime went.

      Why would it be a Showtime part 2? They obviously have rethought the Fame EP idea, and it seems like they will make a Superstar 2.0 for Sims 4, and not a Showtime 2.0 ;) and to be honest, I don't want the same Pets and Late Night EPs all over again. They NEED to combine some ideas, for example, a Farm Life EP with pets and farm animals, I don't want 4+ animals only. Sims 2 Pets was so disappointing to me, and I liked Sims 1 Unleashed and Sims 3 Pets more.

      I may be alone with my opinion, but I want to be able to film in-game movies with my Sims. I want an Acting career, Singing career and Fashion Model career. Those would really make the gameplay more exciting to me. I also would like a Farm Life EP, Mother Nature EP (Outdoor Life + Seasons combined, by the way it's not the same as Outdoor Retreat) and something else too.

      I agree that they need to combine things and come up with new ideas instead of just re-programming an Expansion Pack so it'll run on Sims 4, that's just boring. But my whole issue with Showtime was the venues lagging and glitching, it just didn't go well for me. I'd have to see more info on how they do Fame and Fortune before I decide if I like it. But it seems like a combination of Showtime and Late Night.

      But if there will be fewer features, then those could be really made well and detailed too! Let's see what they can make! ^.^

      Superstar was a great EP, Showtime was not. From the details on the survey Fame and Fortune sounds more like Superstar than showtime, it's more about acting, singing and paparazzi, Showtime was focused on singing and magicians.

      I would like the Health and Wellness to be a game pack and not an expansion pack. It sounds fun but not fun enough to take up an important expansion slot. I also enjoy the celebrity aspects of the past games, like how my architectural designer could become one in TS3 but I kinda hope it comes later on. I'd like to see Seasons and Pets expansions first.

      Active Careers is Get To work, but originally they planned I think 7 careers. But now its 3 with the inclusion of Open for business. Also the Town Life one sounds cool, to be mayor :) Here is the full survey- http://www.simsglobe.com/2014/10/sims-4-expansion-packs-survey/
