This is a thread dedicated to cheap starter homes - all kinds, shapes and sizes welcome! Please feel free to post links/pics/comments etc.
Edit: OK, to make it easier I am compiling links for contributors galleries in this first post. If I miss anyone out, please give me a sharp poke with a long stick.
Your Starter homes are very nice @elanorbreton and @asphyxiateddoll Very nice exteriors of them and great layout of the interiors. They are each very nice homes for sims to enjoy starting their sims lives in. Very nice colours that you have used for them. Each home is very nice!
Just giving this a little bump. I moved in to editing Oasis Springs today, so if anyone has got any desert starters to post here it would be very much appreciated!
I love all the starters here! I should post mine soon as I get the chance, just keep in mind that my idea of a starter is like a blank canvas. I do not furnish mine, just the bones of the house with plumbing and kitchen. Also some light landscaping. That way people can fill it up with their ideas, personality and such.
@elanorbreton, what a great thread and homes you've shared! I started creating some starters the other day to replace the ones in the cheaper neighborhood. I thought they looked too much like trailers and felt they needed to be some older, smaller homes with character. Anyway, it's been lots of fun! @asphyxiateddoll, yours are very detailed and I like that you've branched out in styles. I haven't gotten that brave yet, haha.
I will create a thread when I have more time with more detailed pictures of each lot. Until then, here's several that I've made recently. All of these are one bedroom and one bath, some are studio style. I can't remember my descriptions. You may find these under my hashtag, #KraftySim, or #Starter, #BuildnShare, and #noCC. Cheers!
Each of your starter homes are very nice! @KraftySim The front porches in the builds are very nice places for sims to enjoy sitting outdoors on the seats watching sims pass by their homes. It looks very nice how you placed the flowers and plants on the edge of the porch in your Daisy Hovel Remodel build! The sun decor on the front exterior of the All Seasons Cottage looks nice there. The textures of the exterior of your Crick Cabana and Streamlet Single homes looks great. Great placement of the windows in the builds.
They are very nice homes.
Your starter home is very nice ! @RoOoAr5 The exterior design of it is great! The roofing is great and it looks very nice the type of and how you have placed the windows in the build. The wooden texture of the bedhead wall in the bedroom looks nice, and the blue colour of the bed looks very nice with that texture. Very nice kitchen. The island bar stool counter is great. The fruit bowl on the counter and the hanging pots are nice kitchen touches for sims to see whilst cooking meals. The blue accent kitchen wall looks great. The colour of the sofas look great with the colour of the wall. Sims will enjoy the sunlight coming in through the front windows whilst living there. It is a great home
As promised, here is my starter home. It's bare boned, but I built it with the simmer's tastes in mind. Every sim has different taste, so I am giving a home they can decorate with their own stuff!

And thanks @KraftySim! I am glad you liked my use of the sun. I was looking at that colonial and thought the front needed something, so I threw that on and liked it.
Mine don't look as good as the ones so far. The starters I've made are for my sims that I know what career I want to give them and I give the house a theme to go with it.
I may have messed up my 'starter home' status for these houses after I moved them to a 20x30 lot from the 20x15 that I created them on. When I tried to put them back on the 20x15 they say they are too big (and I think over $20k).

I tried to include the 'Bedroom in Arles' painting as the bedroom design.

It's a 3br family home, which was really difficult to keep under $20,000!
If anyone would like to use it, my Origin name is elliebreton.
Oops! Sorry for accidentally deleting my pics off Photobucket. You should be able to see all my homes here.

Big Bang Theory Starter Home

The Big Bang starter looks odd from the outside because the walls are at odd angles like the set at the TV studio where they film it.
