Ok, from the start let me just say that I respect other peoples opinions on whether they like the Sims 3 or The Sims 4. But i'm going to tell you in my opinion how I believe The Sims 4 is an EPIC FAIL.
I've been a Sims player since the series first began. I own all base games, stuff packs and expansion packs from Sims 1 to Sims 3. I too can get into 24 hour sessions of no sleep while playing and have tried multiple ways of the playing the game whether its raising families or just building lots.
The SIms 4 seems like a fail to me like how EA failed when they brought back Simcity. It is lacking in creative juice that a hardcore player such as myself would want to see in future versions of franchises. If they had taken the Sims 4 characteristics and interactions, people creator and maybe some of the furniture and implemented it into Sims 3, then we would finally have a complete game. The Sims 4 has lost its substance when it comes to an enjoyable game. It's like a Facebook game that nobody should have to pay for. Yet, EA is going to come out with multiple expansion packs for this franchise that are probably already finished and have release dates to begin with. Just a way to release a game that pretty much most people won't like and will have to continue to spend money for what they do like. With so many things missing from the Sims 4 that the Sims 3 has shows the lack of respect EA has for its community.
The Sims 3 grew far apart from the original game in amazing ways that all you need to do is visit modthesims to see how far people have modded the game. It opened up new doors in almost every aspect. I really can't see The Sims 4 doing any of this unless they get the consumer to pay them more money for things that should have already been in the game.
Hey, at least with Sims 4 they didn't require an online connection to play like Simcity, right?
And kudos to the people who live The Sims 4, good for you. I think more people will agree with me that the Sims 3 is way more enjoyable then playing 20 minutes of The Sims 4.
I am really disappointed with how The Sims 4 turned out.
I'm going to stick with The Sims 3 until The Sims 5 comes out lol
Thanks and have a great day!

Okay. So you have your thesis statement. Now give reasons, examples, and turn in a sentence outline by tomorrow.
> Your post is nothing but a long winded rant, without any real content or meat. You mention nothing specific of what you don't like, jumping on the expansion bandwagon. Move along folks, there's absolutely nothing of worth to see here.
Sorry, you are wrong. I just wanted to keep it short and sweet. Hardcore Sims players will understand the message. You sound like a typical troll whos probably paid by EA to keep people who disagree with the game away from the forum lol
EXAMPLE: What I don't like about The Sims 4? Everything. The neighborhood is small and theres not many things to choose from let alone community buildings and job buildings. Lets not forget all of these loading screens and no free world to roam.
I could go on and on in full detail about every little thing, but thats not necessary. Like I said, true Sims followers will understand what I meant by my op.

I think locking buy items to certain levels of career advancement further restricts an already sparse game. I'm hoping that will be changed or modded soon. There are many players like me who hate careers, and who use the money cheat and want access to EVERYTHING they have paid their $60-$80 for.
Just my humble opinion...
There are many times I do not see the smaller neighborhood. I watch my sim go out jogging. There are sims everywhere. On the street, jogging around with him, kids down at the mini-park. It is nice ( for me ) to not have a dead world. I go to the gym, there are anywhere up to 16 sims in the gym alone, plus all the ones outside.
yes, I have a loading screen to get to the gym, but it feels much more of a community for me.
To each his/her own.
But we have EMOTIONS!
> Your second post is even worst than the first. You're obviously clamoring for attention, and doing it poorly at that. Hardcore Sims player? I've played quite a few Sims in my 49 years of life, and I've come to say, I can find quite a bit to like about this version. Too bad you can't, as if your rant has any weight at all. EA troll? Really? That's all you can come up with? Obviously you lack imagination and creativity. No wonder you don't like the Sims, you have no imagination at all.
Buddy, you have no idea how to play The Sims. You might as well turn off your pc now and go outside for some fresh air lol
Actually, it is necessary. Without succinct specifics, your problems cannot be addressed. And I've been a true Sim follower for a long time. I don't understand your original post.
Some of the things you listed weren't in both or either of the Sims2 or 3 base games. I know hot tubs were not in Sims 3 at first. Neither were pool tables (in either at first), tragic clown or social bunny, male body hair, aliens and I could go on and on.
Yes, there are a few things that are missing. There's no saying if some of the objects you listed will be back, but I'm willing to bet most, if not all, will be.
As for the missing lots/rabbit holes, Sims2 had none of them. My guess is they were taken out of Sims4 to make more room and possibly decrease lag some were experiencing. Let's be honest. For the most part, those buildings were pretty useless. You couldn't go inside, they just took up space. Yes, some I do miss because they added a town-like atmosphere, but the sections of businesses that are there do help with that. I have no doubt also, that many things will be back as the worlds expand and they add new worlds.
It's different, it's a change. People whined and complained when TS3 was released because of so much they didn't like and how boring they thought it was because it was a base game. It didn't take long for them to take to the game and many resisted the Sims4 as soon as it was announced because they didn't want to change.
I do respect your opinion, but with your list, I think you're comparing apples and oranges.
From a general, psychological point of view, not just specifically this game, people don't like change, even when that change can improve their lives. I've seen it time and time again. So it's not surprising that when every new Sims version comes out, people will dislike it because it's different.
Just for reference, I don't hate the game, nor do I think it's the best out there. But I feel it's got a lot of potential.

> Have you even played sims 4...
Yes, a few hours trying a few methods once I got all of the bugs fixed lol
