Why Lala? I'm thinking it's because either:
1. She was on to them.
2. She openly stated how much she "knew" Skelda was good, so she trusted him. Maybe he was onto someone?

Lala was pretty much a confirmed innocent. The walking mason visited someone (sorry I forgot who) and their message was that Lala killed no one. At least that's why I think they killed her.
