I can see there being enough in a Romance Pack for a Game Pack (with CAS/BB and maybe a 5 lot world), but not an expansion pack. I mean, I could be wrong, but I just don't see romance systems, no matter how robust, as being a "big" enough thing to warrant it's own expansion pack based on what's been included in packs to date. I think it's too narrow a theme for an expansion pack, when compared to the existing game and expansion packs for Sims 4. I do think that even with Moschino and Paranormal Stuff as examples, it's too big for a Stuff pack, but big enough for an Expansion pack? I'm doubtful.
I've seen many ppl say this but didn't all the sims game (even 1) get a romance expansion?
Looking over on the SimsWiki, Each of the "romance" expansions (Hot date, Nightlife and Late night) also introduced additional gameplay that wasn't inherently tied to romance, and none were actually exclusively Romance. About half (if not more) of what any given expansion introduced in their romance pack has already been introduced in the Sims 4 in other packs (Nightclubs, bowling alleys, downtown district, vampires...)
So even in previous games, their "romance" expansions weren't strictly romance.
Late Night really wasn't a Romance Pack. It was more about Groups. We didn't have a Romantic EP in TS3 however we did get Master Suites SP which was more about Romantic Themes. It didn't have any new Romance Options.
I can't think of enough romantic features/stuff to fill an EP. Something wedding, ok. Romantic dining including proposal, ok. Slow dancing and walking holding hands. I'm not even sure I would buy a Romance pack if there were no other themes in it. I'd be fine with that though, as I don't mind skipping a pack occasionally.
Also - *if* we get casinos, I see them as a natural part of the hotel pack. Are they not normally a hotel feature?

Working Cinemas were the sims actually sit in a theater and watch the movies. You can change the movie theme. The cinemas also have a food and bevage bar with cinema foods like candies,popcorn,nachos,sodas etc and if you really want your sims to be romantic you can get them to share a drink were they both drink out of the same cup and straw.
Drive In Theaters Outside if we get cars.
Love At First Site.
The Return of Love Letters only this time we can put them in our sims inventories so we can read them again or place them on a table.
The option to schedule a date on the calendar.
Secret Admirer crushes were they will send your sim flowers and love letters.
The option to send a woohooie text to another sim and invite them over for woohoo.

Some other things I missed in my last post that should return in a Romance Based Pack
The Love Tester Machine if your sim couples get the highest score on the machine it puts them in the mood for woohoo and it might happen. Also special moodlets we might get.
Heart Shaped Fireplaces were your sims can pull a chain on the fireplace and it lights up. These put your sims in the mood for woohoo and also produce a special moodlet.
Friends with Benefits Relationships meaning you can be romantic without falling in love if the two sims are friends or above. This however would cause jelousy if one of the sims were married and their spouse found out.
On the subject of the amount of content that would go into a "Romance-Only" GP, I found an old survey that describes a "Love Life" game pack:
I could see them releasing a GP like this, where the new/"paid" content would be in the form of the new Matchmaking skill, more BB/CAS items for weddings/dates, a new world with new dating locations, bachelorette parties, first crushes for kids, first dates for teens, throwing rice at weddings, etc.
And then there could be a free base game update that revamped BG Romance by adding highly-requested features from previous games like:

more kissing/make out interactions and animations
chemistry/attraction system
zodiac signs
making it so that wedding guests ACTUALLY SIT DOWN during the ceremony
Personally, I wouldn't mind having hotels/casinos incorporated w/ a Romance GP, but that's my preference as someone whose playstyle is equal parts building and gameplay. I've been DYING to be able to build resorts in TS4 so if that is what ends up happening I'll be a happy camper

Exactly. It's no guarantee that it will be free, as it might come as paid content with a Romance Pack, but I think there's definately something like that in the works.

Last time with Cottage Living, I think a few game changers also released Cottage Builds in the time leading up to the announcement.

There were more game changers that made hotels recently, as in the past month, so maybe it's true that we are getting hotels. I would love hotels, romance or no romance included. There might be something else included, travelling and fun activities usually go together.

I doubt it until we get the option to put multiple lot types on one lot regarding spas in hotels.

That would make sense, if not for the fact that for the US market, they are basically always going to release the holiday EP before Thanksgiving, to capitalize on Black Friday shopping. (Not that the EP will be marked down, but it's well known that shoppers looking for big sales also go ahead and do a lot of their holiday shopping that weekend, even on non-sale items.) Another way to look at it is that the dev team is not going to want to spend their Thanksgiving holiday doing last minute bug testing.
Given that, my guess is that the absolute latest they would release it would be around 11/20 or so, but it's more likely to be mid-month. Actually, considering that the 18th is a Thursday, and the week before Thanksgiving, I'd guess the 18th or 19th. Possibly even the week before, so they don't have to rush out hot fixes over the holiday.
Well, DHD and Cottage Living hardly got any bug fixes by now and both have been out for quite a while, so I doubt they'd have any second thoughts about releasing a pack shortly before the holiday break.
I'm personally longing for news as I'm not interested in kits, so I hope we'll not be getting a last minute release before X-Mas.
