This total of basegame freebies already reaches 388 CAS items and 226 objects (more than 8 Stuff Packs).

Not everything was counted, for example the wallpapers, floors and roofs are missing.
We won't forget the 350 swatches (door) and the ton of outfits made for the Gender Options Patch

Also because i never get expansions i get a lot of "expansion exclusives" in my game 😎 which is pretty cool

I used the EF## number assigned by Maxis to find the content, I want to keep EF08 and EF13 to remind me they are updates for FP01 Holiday Celebration Pack.

But not everybody decide to install this free pack, it's optional.

I'm confused by the list. What does EF mean? Firefighters came in the same update MAC makeup came.
Also, I don't see toddlers mentioned (from pre-Vampires game pack patch). This update brought a lot of CAS items (for toddlers) and build mode objects (toddler beds, building blocks etc).
I remember first three major updates well. These each came after each month. First ghosts were brought back (though no new CAS items or build mode objects were noticed), then pools came back (swimwear and objects for pools like ladders and pool lights), and the third one included the athlete and business career (each of them brought new unlockable outfits and objects).

EF number is a Maxis thing. it was probably assigned when the projects began.
The "Engagement" team created these "Freebies", I think EF means Engagement Freebies.

SimGuruMegs: We have separate teams on the Sims 4 for SPs, GPs, EPs, and what we call engagement (the team that delivers patches and free content updates.)

I think some free lot traits came also with an update around when city living came out. That was pretty nice and there might be even more examples of them updating the base game with new stuff that tie in with some of the new features added in packs.

I wish there were a way to opt out of freebies. There are definitely some I have to use mods to keep out of my game (looking at you, Star Wars costumes)
