@Pincoeth I don't get what babies have to do with eco lifestyle...
Sorry you misunderstood me, i meant what they mean by the phrase “learn to breath”.. :D
If you go in the sneak peak Nifty Knitting thread about the rocking chairs, on page 3 a simguru mentioned they have a surprise in store for the littlest of sims.
Not sure, but maybe they might be able to release the babies, or give them more options to appear in than just the bassinet.

well, there is a gif of a toddler rocking in the chair so...they might have been talking about that?
I've seen a lot comments wondering about whether or not you'll be able to rock babies or toddlers. Sitting in laps is not currently supported on any chair, but don't worry, we have a surprise in store for the littlest of Sims, so keep watching this forum for future deep dive posts from Conor. We'll have more details later
I'd love for the babies to be more interactive. 12 babies into the 100 baby challenge, I quit - not because of toddlers, but because the babies are literally so monotonous. Not sure the Sims team are giving us anything more for the babies any time soon, though.
The sims have been holding their babies in the family portraits forever. I don't think there's enough here to assume it means anything other than it's the obvious way to show infants in posed artwork, regardless of gameplay.
@Daephene your point jsut makes the problem worse, cuz the babies when hold in family portraits don't look even a bit like the one in this render.
I'm fairly sure that when people said they wanted to free up babies, they didn't mean "To rock them in rocking chairs."
Well, I would like to be able to do more that that with them for sure, place them in a couch, or the floor, put them in a swing or stroller or sling..... and change they clothes.

page 3, scroll to see what the guru said. Not sure, but maybe?
Hm, I still don't think it means anything.
Yeah, probably doesn't. Since they said babies and toddlers, then said the littlest sims.....I can't help but think that means....babies.
Pure speculation on my part

Most likely,.

The Sims 4 General DiscussionYes, for sure!
yeah, they don't have to be newborns. if the babies can play on playmats and bounce around in bouncy chairs im all for it
My guess is probably in 2022.
They can hold their heads up in the animation you see after they're born, when the parent lifts them up.
